APPEARANCE
Kai, being from far-off Minkai, is rather exotic-looking. His hair is long and black and most of it sticks up in spikes save a few stray strands that dangle down his face. His wanderings have led to him being quite tan. He is not very tall but is noticeably lean and muscular from many long years of intense physical training. He looks to be in his mid-twenties. He wears a suit of scalemail complete with leather shoulder, arm, and leg plates which have been bleached white. A slightly tattered gray traveling cloak hangs around his shoulders. Beneath his armor he wears a white shirt and leather breeches. His sword, which he calls a katana, is slightly curved and has a single cutting edge.

BACKGROUND

Kai was born twenty-five years ago in the far-off land of Minkai, where he learned the art of the warblade from the mysterious martial arts sensei Master Crane. Soon before his training was complete, Master Crane disappeared and Kai was left without a teacher. He thought long and hard, and decided to continue his training by challenging fighters all over Golarion to hone his fighting skills. Knowing that he would learn more by fighting those who use fighting styles much different than his own, he boarded a boat destined for a far away land. When he got there, he began to follow the roads and soon found himself in a small town called Falcon's Hollow...

MOTIVATION & GOALS

Kai Renyu is on a quest to better his fighting style and defeat worthy opponents in battle. He is not above taking odd jobs for money, and has for the most part been playing at being a wandering mercenary, as that provides (or will provide, once he actually manages to land a job) him a steady supply of enemies to face in combat.
