Snow white hair and striking blue eyes proclaim Kára as otherworldly. She adorns herself in short white vestments suitable for combat, she wears a holy symbol around her waist. Kára stands just shy of 6 feet tall and can swing her pole-arm effortlessly.
Kára’s family made a moderate living as farmers in the small community of Crimmor. She was born during a particularly harsh famine and after only a few weeks in the world her family packed up and left for Endhome. For the sake of their newborn they left behind their life in hopes of finding a more secure lifestyle in the larger city. They didn’t get far before the family was accosted by would be bandits, people who had fallen on hard times and had little choice but to resort to highway robbery to feed their own family's. Unwilling to sacrifice the last of their belongings to the thieves for fear of what that would mean for their child, both of Kára’s parents lost their lives on the that road.
It wasn’t until later did the would be bandits find the child, wrapped in furs and sleeping soundly unaware of the fate that had befallen her mother and father. After a heated moral debate between the assailants responsible for the tragedy Kára was left to her fate along the road. Hours later when the first snow of the season had begun to fall the child’s crys pierced the night, drawing the attention of a peculiar creature living in the woods nearby. A ghostly wolf with piercing blue eyes, on of Freya’s chosen a guardian of her lands on the mortal realm.
The creature drawn by the child’s cries blessed her with an otherworldly strength that changed her physically before it carried her away into the night. It would be days later before a guard of Bard’s gate would find the blessed girl lying near Freya’s shine wrapped in snowy furs. One of the coldest days of the year and the little babe seemed no worse for the wear.
Years would pass and the child grew from the oblivious infant into a thinking, feeling and self aware little girl. Due to her otherworldly appearance Kára was often bullied by other children within the city, it was because of this unfortunate circumstance that she learned to fight. The hard way. Eventually she would learn of the night she was found in the snow alive and well when all others should have died, though she never discovered what had happened that brought her there that night.
Eventually she would grow into an adult and seek out her place in the world. Throughout her life she was drawn to Freya’s guidance possibly looking for answers to questions no one else was able to answer. This would eventually lead Kára to be blessed once again by the goddess and gifting Kára with divine power.
Now she makes her living using her gift on those in need and occasionally assisting the city watch with various matters.
Personality:
Kára's lived without knowing a family of any kind this has left her with a hole, one she's tried to fill with faith and close friends, but is what most would call a lone wolf. She's protective of her few friends and anyone unable to fight for themselves. Her rough childhood caused her to often resort to violence when all reason fails. She has a grand sense of adventure, loves music, helping those in need and she doesn't mind getting her hands dirty. She deplores the use of drugs and alcohol, having seen their effects first hand many times assisting the watch. She won't stand for abusing the weak, whether of mind or body.
Motivation:
Helping the needy and punishing the wicked are both strong motivations for the priestess. Her motivations outside her role as a cleric are her ever growing sense of adventure and her want to experience the larger world out side of bard's gate. She also want's to find answers regarding her family, though she's moved on some as she's grown older.
