This is gonna be the best PaizoCon ever!

If your article is short by X amount (where X in this case is 100 and up), the gap in the layout needs to be filled. By whom might you ask? The developers/editors, usually. The word counts are there for a reason people!

We've actually statted up one (1) CR 30 monster in the history of Pathfinder: Achaekek, the Mantis God, from Pathfinder #9.

What would have a CR of 30?

We had them last year at PaizoCon, so I bet we will again this year unless the publisher sells out of them and we don't have any stock available. But if we have them in the warehouse, we will have them at Paizocon!

I have decided that I will be giving up the chat room for the season of lent. If it's not a meaningful sacrifice it sort of defeats the purpose, no? I'll see you all in six weeks.

One question: If I were to submit a short story based on a Pathfinder module, would I also need to submit accompanying artwork. Because while I think my story might stand at least a decent chance of being competitive, I'm realistic enough about my artistic ability to realize that submitting something I drew would cause the entire submission to be auto-rejected.

Charles, I agree. Believe me, we didn't do it lightly. And we certainly did it with no relish or happiness. In three years this is our first significant DQ (other than in year one we had the word count issue). Its no fun for us to do it and we feel bad for Lief. But it is what it is, and we can't keep saying it over and over.

All the fun stuff happens when I'm either working or sleeping... :(

Oh well, I guess I'll have to start my own group, with blackjack and hookers. Okay, maybe not the blackjack, or the hookers....

I got hit with that challenge MANY times in developing high CR monsters for the Bestiary (which actually had a monster word count cap of 550 to 600), and it's NOT easy.

I could've used this around the mid-point in my RotR game. Too bad I didn't have them then.

The attacks for a minotaur should be as follows: Melee greataxe +9/+4 (3d6+6), gore +4 (1d6+2), or gore +9 (1d6+6)

Reasons? When used with a manufactured weapon, natural weapons are always secondary attacks unless stated otherwise (see Xill). A creature with a single natural attack gain 1 1/2 their Strength bonus to damage.

In the Bestiary, regular drow have the following as base ability scores without racial modifiers. Str 11, Dex 13, Con 12, Int 10, Wis 9, Cha 8

The basic ability score array is listed on pg 451 of the PFRPG core book along with the heroic array, which is what the noble drow uses.

I'm looking for height, weight, life span, etc. I have the Bestiary.

Anyone know the vital statistics for Tengu as presented in the Bestiary?
