Good call on the channel Rohara. It still might not be enough. Maybe an Aarakess polymorph can get Kilthan into the fight? Don't know how effective slinging spells or hexes at a dragon will be.

Justin avoids the bite, but the rest of the dragon attacks leave him in bad shape as a claw and two wings cut through his armor. Justin touches his holy symbol, and some of his wounds heal. LoH: 5d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4, 4, 1) = 13 Swift=LoH, Full attack
Justin attacks the dragon three times with his axe using powerful attacks. Two strikes cut into the dragon badly. att1/miss chance/damage: 1d20 + 17 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 17 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 4 + 1 = 421d100 ⇒ 821d12 + 19 + 10 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 19 + 10 + 4 = 35
cold damage: 1d6 ⇒ 61d6 ⇒ 1 A few snaps of frost tickle the dragon as it is hit. Then Justin bites at the dragon, his primitive instincts take over in his desperate attack.
No flanking added, +1 for higher ground added -- bite may need another gallant inspiration Sally, his mount, tries to help him avoid the next blow.

Rohara's magic had allowed more to engage the dragon and keep them from grouping up too much, he approved with a quick salute of his axe to her. Thanks to diving grace I have same saves as +3 Cloak of resistance, smites are somewhat better, and I save 1K gold Justin is ready to go.

I updated the loot sheet. Note the items below the 51000gp total, they have yet to be assigned to individuals. We can probably give everyone 8K and leave 3K in the party fund. 8K is a good number as it lets people buy +2 weapons if they want. +3 cloak of resistance is 9K, and saving throws are important as Justin learned when he saved or died. If Kilthan is Ok with it, it allows Justin and Kilthan to pool their 16K for a +4 STR belt and Justin can give Kilthan the +2 STR belt. Or, I have no problem just upgrading Kilthan to +4 and keeping the +2 STR belt as he actually attacks more--it may actually be 'used more' by Kilthan. As Justin is a paladin, he is fully on the 'best for the team' bandwagon. Let me know who wants the following:
And keeping the cleric loaded so she can stay alive to keep us alive is a good plan.

And we have an artifact!!!
10k sounds good. I have the +1 frost great axe and +1 returning trident and +1 morningstar of spell storing we found. +2 Str belt was a purchase. Plan was to buy a +4 Str belt ASAP and pass it to Kilthan.

We spent 5500 gp for bets and license when our odds were set. I still have the frost greataxe +1 I found a while ago. As an old school guy, WBL never really concerned me. Just try to maximize the resources and opportunities I am given. For high level spellcasters I always like magic rods. The +4 INT headband is definitely good. I would try for +4 STR and +4 CHA as a paladin, but you get what you get. I will try to update the loot spreadsheet. We had moved from rank 3 to rank 6, but the table is confusing. I think we bet about 5K gold for us to win it all. Rank 1 1gp pays 10gp

Justin shakes his fist in frustration as Eligos' death and that of his assistant takes some of the taste of victory from his mouth. He also reflects that his enjoyment of the martial combat may not have been what paladins are supposed to enjoy, but at heart he was still a lizardman warrior from the Mushfens too. Justin looks up and yells: "Rakniiiiiaaaan!!" He looks to Aarakess and Rohara, whose council he had come to value highly. "What do we do next??"

Not to be greedy, but we were betting the maximum we could on ourselves, not using any metagaming knowledge that PCs and heros in stories have an innate advantage ;-) I forgot the amount. nice summation, I have my needed closure.

So far I have been busy saving the world in XCOM 2 on my computer. And we will see how many picks the Heisman Trophy winner goes after Ezekial Elliot in the draft. I watched the Critical Role One Shot where they did We Be Goblins about a week ago. I found it quite amusing, especially the goblin barbarian. I first learned about the site when a friend had me watch the game the same group ran for Vin Diesel, and like the DM's style for face to face gaming. His descriptions can be quite good. Much more interesting than the massive campaign, which I found a lot less exciting.

Ironically, all the games I play in have slowed to a crawl but this one. Two have had the DM quit. My sixth level druid in the temple of elemental evil, my second highest character, is now stranded.\ Thanks once again for getting the band back together David. This game is so awesome. And thanks Skorhald for joining us. Like Neil Peart of Rush, we almost forgot you weren't on the first album. The bard with awesome fighting skills and buff skills has been an amazing addition.

Round 4 Justin
Justin uses his holy symbol to quickly cast a spell at the dwarf in the middle that was knocked back, and chains from the ground try to grab at the dwarf.
Litany of Entanglement Will DC 15 or condition=entangled for 1 round:
Casting Time 1 swift action
Components V, S, DF EFFECT Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
DESCRIPTION Your litany conjures chains of energy that lash upward from the ground and hamper the target’s movement. The target is entangled. This spell has no effect on flying creatures, or creatures not standing upon solid ground. While subject to this spell, the target cannot be the target of another spell that has the word "litany" in the title. Justin than goes to retaliating against the same dwarf in the middle that attacked him. His large sword swings in powerful blows, hitting the dwarf again and again until he falls. His unfortunate comrade takes the remaining hits. greatsword adamantine: 1d20 + 19 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 19 + 1 - 1 = 363d6 + 21 ⇒ (1, 5, 3) + 21 = 30
Having cast his spell, Justin neglects to lay on hands.
As the battle turns badly for the dwarves, Justin pleads to Rohara. "Milady, please ready a spell to save these dwarves if we hit them too hard. I fight for the glory and honor of Iomedae, not for the waste of precious life."

Justin takes the flaming sword from Rohara and it becomes twice as long!! He then swings starting with the hurt dwarf with powerful attacks. att: 1d20 + 17 + 1 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (6) + 17 + 1 + 2 - 1 = 253d6 + 10 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6, 6) + 10 + 9 + 2 = 38 no flame or bonuses for sword added furious focus used His next swing comes from the speed magic. He keeps after the wounded dwarf until he falls then starts on the other one with the 2 hander. haste bonus attack: 1d20 + 17 + 1 + 2 - 1 - 3 ⇒ (13) + 17 + 1 + 2 - 1 - 3 = 293d6 + 10 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (2, 1, 5) + 10 + 9 + 2 = 29 without a full attack, probably don't get that laet one noo sword extras added, ac=27 shield, haste, enlarge, inspire lay on hands: 5d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 1, 4) = 14

Justin remembered he had given his greatsword to the young guard captain. He was holding his heavy two handed flail, and watched it splinter in his hands. He was glad it wasn't his great axe. 2 handed large heavy flail in hand Justin heals himself with a touch.
"You smashed my flail." Justin attacks the same one Skornald attacked with his claws and teeth. Power attack x3 bite: 1d20 + 17 - 3 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 17 - 3 - 1 = 291d4 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 6 = 15

Justin's mount, not wanting to hold a massive enlarged lizardman, stands ready to attack these short humanoids. They seemed small, but their fiery swords had the trained warhorse's attention.

Justin hands the belt and beads to Rohara. He tries to put the chest on his muscular back to bring back. Both to Rohara. We need her up at all times, 10 hp may be the difference some time. Unholy club to be destroyed.

Justin stops, overcome by the cloud.

Justin avoids the fear effect, and before the cloud can hurt him, the aura of purity covers up the cloud. Justin sees another evil creature worth smiting. He swings twice and bites at it. smite vs demon: 1d20 + 17 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 17 + 3 = 361d12 + 19 + 20 ⇒ (7) + 19 + 20 = 46
Smite was the only buff added -- axe is not bludgeoning, but smite is in effect.

Bless, Blessing of Fervor, Haste, Shield, Touch of Fortune, good hope, inspire from the bard -- Now smite vs creature Justin sees the undead massive creature, and smites it with three nasty swings and a bite. Smite swift, Full attack, -2 for tendrils attack 1: 1d20 + 23 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 23 + 3 - 2 = 421d12 + 21 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 21 + 9 = 32
9bab+6str+1magic wpn+1vs undead(trait)+2 blessings of fervor +1 blessing+2inspire+1 haste=23 then +3 smite, iterative with power attack is -8 from that, bonus attack 3 is -3 from power attack. If some of the above bonuses don't stack, you can remove them. AC is now 24+4(shield)+3 smite+2 blessings of fervor = 33AC unless some of those bonuses don't stack. Sure gets complicated. And smite damage bonuses were doubled against him if he was evil subtype
