Julian continues to run.

Julian runs his little heart out.
Julian grunts as the worg tears into his flesh. This was the plan, follow it. He throws down a sleeping gas bomb and darts off in the planned direction.
Julian drops some caltrops and begins his retreat.

Wait, or is that, "do worry, Julian is already gone"?
Don't worry guys, Julian is already on his way.
"Keeps me light on my feet!" Julian laughs. "In all seriousness, it has been an honor and a privilege working and fighting and living with you all. Even the crazy priest. Let's save the world. May the demons of Meifumado quake at our actions! Thanes, do try to survive. Savol will need you. Princess ...let them feel your rage. Sayonara." Julian bows, and runs off.
"You guys really should have learned to run on water like me. Just saying."
"Someone will have to save your asses." Julian smiles. "A thought ...is your owl around, Rutty? Between that and maybe a dimension door I could get there faster."
"Why rely on a fickle god when I could do the same? And before any of you start, this isn't me comparing myself to the divine. I could trigger the alarm and lead some of them on a wild goose chase. Scouts: Julian shakes his head. "We've learned what we came to learn. I wouldn't mind staying still a bit to see if any leaders stick out."
This has been the absolute best group of "strangers" to play with I've ever encountered. Good interaction and excellent roleplay all around.
"Zeth may have way surpassed my swordsmanship, but he'd just slow me down scouting." Julian seems to vanish into the snow.

Julian finally shows himself again, certain that none of the potential threats he had observed were in need of immediate elimination. "It is good to see you, sire, and even better to have been granted such an auspicious mission. The winter witches will not succeed, I vow on my life and honor."
”Even" Julian? This religious maniac is useful at times ...but he remains a bloodthirsty devotee of ...no, not the god of killing. Worse. The god of war.. Julian watches the proceedings while slowly drawing an arrow.

We really need a more efficient method of communication than magic bird. Though this One Eye ...she is a fierce one.
Julian pops his knuckles and neck. "Most things are."
"Everyone, just pretend you're me. I do hope you've been taking thorough notes. Zethyris clearly has."
"Many thanks to you and your people, Gnasher. We and our sovereign, the Mighty Kodiak, will forever on call you allies, and your lands sovereign."
Julian nods. And starts to scout ahead.
"If the crown takes over this religious maniac how would we know? He talks crazy already. The minute the crown made Jed talk we'd know he was ensorcelled." Julian laughs. "But we should be leaving, seriously. We've got our symbol. So, Princess, what are we doing about your new retinue?"
"It's in trustworthy hands with Jediah. His will is as strong as his body."

I put the darkleaf armor and the ring of mind shielding on Julian's character sheet. Your assassin needs anonymity!

"I wonder if our Ioun stone of translation would help with this code. This could be as important as the crown itself."
We should keep the shortbow around, at least. Julian could use the ring of mind shielding. Heheheheheheh. The armor is pretty great.
"Unfortunately I only heard them, and barely at that.
"To me, Anti-Royal sounds like Anti-Irrisen. I wouldn't spring the Kodiak on them yet, but perhaps hints of independence could curry the favor of those we'd most want to have."
"They are not a united front. I heard some of them last night discussing a plan of their own, put on hold by Anja's appearance. They are anti-Royal, which sounds pretty good to me."

Less than a week of vacation left ...so I'll be sober and on normal sleep schedules soon.
Hidden, and sullen he didn't get to shoot the witch, Julian also watches.
Sorry I've been kinda AWOL lately; end of summer vacation madness has been intense.
