About Julia & Vezelbox

Julia was born to a noble Chelaxian family and showed great promise of sorcery and a strong fiendish heritage. But despite years of academy training, Julia was unable to utilize even the simplest of arcane spells. Julia masked her insecurity at her personal failure by becoming the academy bully and thug, beating her fellow classmates as well as any slave that dare cross her. At the age of 21, having constantly failed her courses, the headmistress struck a deal with Julia's parents; in a risky ritual Julia's body was bound with the spirit of a devil to allow her to use the magic inherent in the outsider. The ritual was a success... to a degree. Julia's body was indeed possessed by a devil, but it was not the one summoned in the ritual; but a vengeful devil warlord called Vezelbox. Exhausted from the ritual, Julia was unable to stop the devil from slaughtering the headmistress and the ritualists, regaining control only in time to stop her parents from suffering the great devil's wrath.

Several attempts were made to remove Vezelbox, whom was none too happy to be bound in a mortal body, but whatever went wrong in the ritual seemed to be irreversible. Eventually, it was discovered that the ritual not only bound Vezelbox in Julia, but also significantly drained his powers and, combined with his violent outburst, the paragon of the battlefield, was far too weak to break free; there was also some concern about what undoing the merging might do to Julia (although Vezelbox cared little). For the time being, Julia & Vezelbox are stuck together until they both can recuperate their strength, meaning to say that they have to train and work together; and to add insult to injury, the two of them must stay in the good graces of the Chelaxian Paracountess, lest she refuse to authorize the unbinding ritual.
