Juco dashes toward a creature and grips his scimitar. He slashes at the abomination.
He'll charge one if he can. Move close enough if he cannot.

The Storyteller wrote: You all also notice the creatures are not only attacking the rider, but also the horse as well. See now, that's just making Juco angry. He was willing to help the guy out of pity, but to attack the horse?!
"Shagu, folu cretauser!"

"I may not care much for humans, but the fight should be fair..." Juco thinks to himself.
"Great", Juko thinks, "I get to stop being bored tonight."
Dashing from the rest of the group, Juko follows the warforged, a scimitar flashing as he runs toward the screaming.

Ilantes waits until Juco and Sergeant catch up with her, then gestures to the carriage.
"Juco, thar limanis de minrare caldoth timlagar."

"I will walk with Sergeant. If we need to, we can run the rest of the distance."
"Decayth thoro.
Juko gets back into the cart.
Juko does not speed up when the mules do*, but he does move out of their way. He looks at the warforged called Sergeant, if worse comes to worse, he can find the city. When Ilantes leaves the cart he nods his greeting and begins to look about for any signs of shelter...

*He still moves his full speed.
Juko walks faster so he is next to the mules. He tries to keep them calm while urging them to move just a bit faster, speaking to them as only a forest gnome can...

Juko does not seem to be paying any attention to the jeers, but should any give him more than a moment glance, they realize he is gripping his quarter staff hard enough to turn his knuckles white. Once past the city gates though, Juko nearly leaps from the carriage to walk alongside it. He is obviously relieved to be out of the city.
Ilantes Merblaem wrote: OOC: Although it would have been cool to have Juco talk to them with his animal speak ability. :) I'm not familiar with the abilities of a shaman, so anything you want to share would be cool.
If I had checked back sooner I would have , but talking to animals(non-burrowing since Juko isn't a normal gnome) may have brought unwanted attention to Juko. Placing it under the 'unique abilities' we were each chosen for.
Ilantes Merblaem wrote: "Juco, it seems you have already made friends with these delightful beauties. Perhaps you can ask them to take us where we need to go?"
"Kelani figor Shoanti delak gunthry sej."
Ilantes Merblaem wrote: Ilantes laughs, but not unkindly.
"Agreviel demantes lethunia imladrith, se dalan minith calypia"
This draws a laugh from the usually silent gnome.
"Dayru, Ilantes. Dayru."
Accepting the jelly with only a hint of reluctance, Juko listens to the explanation to their true nature, and nods to the priest(again with reluctance). He takes his place on one of the carriages, and stares in the direction of his beloved forest...

Thanks BTW.

How did you get it to only say Sylvan:show?
Frowning inwardly as he notices the priest of the City God, Juko seems to relax a bit as he talks to the mules, telling them he is grateful for their help and he will be sure to get them sweet things to eat when he can.
Galstak The Hawk wrote: "The spirits are displeased, then." Galstak begins to walk towards the door. "Come now. We have no time to waste." Tapping his staff on the floor once, Juko follows Galstak.
Gave in and switched out Spellcraft for Speak language. He understands common, but will only use it in the most dire of circumstance.
Having been waiting unnoticed in the back corner, Juko accepts the brooch silently, keeping his face hidden within his hood. He reaches for his staff and leans against it, waiting for departure.
