Ten Foot Twin Eater wrote:
Ten foot turns to Joleesa, "she called me handsome, maybe the beer fumes have pickled her brain?" he laughs loudly at his own poor wit.

Joleesa laughs. "Maybe she just really likes bears."

She watches Tobias with the strange man and stays seated as Ten heads towards them. "I'll be over in a minute". She then tries to catch Egan's eye with a wave to come and join her at the table.

Joleesa and Ten stand talking around one of the poles, arguing good naturedly about what type of job they want to try for. She notices Tobias come walking into the yard and motions him over with a nod and a wave of her hand. She grabs her hat and mock bows to him. "Good morning Master Marshalsea. To what do we owe the pleasure of your company today? In need of a spot of work like myself and Ten here I'll wager. Mayhap we could find work together. It would be nice to work with friends rather than some sun adled foreigner looking to make his fortune in the jungles."
She turns and idly picks at a note reading: Looking for adventure?
She sighs loudly and turns back to them. "So what intersests you boys? A spot of Tomb Raiding in the Ruins? A Jungle run in search of rare dinosaur eggs? Adventure on the High Seas? Caravan Guarding?" She mocks vomiting as she says the last one.
She looks around at the other poles and motions at the people gathered there. "Maybe we should just find ourselves some other hardy souls and bugger job hunting. Just head off into the jungle in search of a good time. Wheezy hasn't been out for a run in a while and I'm sure he's keen to get back to the jungle again. As am I for that matter."

Like anything the devils in the details. The Sliss'pok aren't one entity, there are dozens of tribes, some friendlier than others. Some think humans should stay out of the jungle entirely.

As for a Leaper, feel free to get one as a mount. You can't use horses in the jungle (at lesat not if you want them to survive). Anyone able to work up a basic stat block for them? Nothing fancy, but I am really crappy at that.

I'll give it a go.

Base it off a Raptor and tone attacks down a notch or two and up carrying capacity? It'll only be my second attempt at making a creature, but practice makes perfect. =)

EDIT: How big do you want it? Big like the thing in today's Blog Post (with the topless Barbarian Princess) or smaller like the Jurassic Park Raptors (only just barely able to hold a rider)?

Yeah, I have already established a connection with two Lizardfolk Tribes in my Associates.
One Tribe (The Tribe of the Sun) deals in Potions.
The other (The Tribe of the Clawed Leaper) breeds Leapers ( and some other Dinos as mounts and livestock and they have taught Joleesa to ride a Leaper.
Both Tribes are semi-Nomadic. They generally more camp based than most Lizardfolk (who I understand to be more of a Nomadic Culture). The Tribe of the Sun live close to the Morvais Plantation (relatively speaking - within a day's travel).

Some choices:

6. Jurassic Park: There are a lot of folks willing to pay big piles of gold for dino eggs. Do you dare the deep canopy of the Banyan Jungle to obtain them? Watch out for the Monkey Kobolds!

1. Indiana Jones/Lara Croft: There's unexplored ruins in them thar jungles! Shall we try and plunder them?

3. The Mummy: Ancient secrets stir and dread necromantic liches plot their revenge on the living. Who will stop their evil?

2. Cap'n Jack Sparrow: ARRR! trade and adventure awaits ye on the high seas!

4. Under da sea: Life's always better, where it is wetter, take it from me! Lots of aquatic races to adventure with.

5. I have seen the enemy and they is us: Opal itself is a welter of politics, knife brawls, theivery and sin. Dive right in!

They all sound good. I have put them in order of my preference.

The only thing I am worried about is whether or not #6 would conflict with my Lizardfolk friendship? Do they hunt Dinos, or do they see them all as sacred animals/beloved pets?

Heh, what are my chances of getting myself a Leaper Mount for any trips into the jungle?

Hey Tobias... if you're in need of a Sword Circle then I've got one you might be interested in. See my ASSOCIATES.

(Female Human Rogue/Swashbuckler 1/4)

OK Joleesa is totally finished (unless there's anything you want me to add Pat).
Added in Associates (Ten, Lizardfolk & Sword Circle) and did some general tidy up.
I am itchin' to go! =D

Alrighty...

Just got her Background and Appearance done and did some tweaking of her equipment (bought an Eye Patch and Thieves Tools, ditching a couple of Potions).

Joleesa is finally done and finished, ready and itching to start whenever everyone is ready to go.
