"From what the note says, it seems that a contact is headed over tonight... Anyone know what time it is?"
Jillian will split the coin up, so that everyone gets an equal share.
Hmm...
Assuming that the group will be staying a while, Jillian will also 'take 20' :)
Search 27
While waiting for the guard to pass, Jillian will begin a search for any valuables that may be worth a fair share of coin.
Search. 20=13+7
Listen 18 (13+5)
Hearing the news has no effect on Jillian for she has no knowledge of this prominent figure, but she will still inform those inside of the curfew: "A King has died, and we are told to remain in a 'home' until sunrise. I have no intention of staying here, but what happens is, of course, up to the group as a whole."
Jillian follows Ayedah outside. She has learned never to leave a friend alone in an unknown place, no matter how safe it looks.
*cough* Bump *cough*
AH-HA! I have found the OOC Thread. For days now, I have been searching for all of the OOC Threads involving me, and I could not find any. After a couple of lazy days, I finally took the time to find them. (they are missing the little black dot next to them - this should fix that problem).
Jillian remains stunned. Finally her quest of vengeance is over, Lamm is dead. She had not prepared for this, what to do now? Should she return home, now? No, not yet. Let us see where the adventures bring me next she thinks, waiting for someone to take the initiative.
Jillian strikes the croc from behind, hopefully catching it off guard, while it snacks on Gerns leg.
Hit 12 (9+1+2 Flank)
Damage 3
Jillian moved behind the nasty croc, in line the Gern. She pulled out her rapier, ready to strike from behind.
I hope that I can flank with Gern. I'm also assuming that all that movement requires a full action, so no attack :(
Jillian fired the prepared bolt from her crossbow, but overcome with rage, her bolt went flying into the darkness.
12=(7+5)
Damn. Damage? 3...
Seeing only one way to continue, Jillian looked back at the group, "Shall we?". With a general agreement, she moved forward, peering into the next room.
Spot 8+3=11
Move Silently 8+4=12
Hide 18+8=26
Jillian will also enter, crossbow drawn and loaded.
Not much content, sorry, just posting to update
Jillian chides herself for assuming that the fight was over, and letting her guard down.
In case it may be needed: Move Silently: 19 (13+6) Hide: 18 (10+8)
Jillian nods in agreement, getting ready to move through the trap door, also.
Listen 10+5=15 (simple math is so hard for an uneducated halfling)
About Nayr, he has a character in one of the games I DM, and hasn't posted either... Very suspicious, maybe he was taken by Gaedren Lamm?!?!?!
But seriously, anyone know where he is??
Jillian gets up, the rush of warmth spreading through her. "That's much better, thanks." She says with a touch of sarcasm. "Is it in agreement to procede to this 'Ship' that the kiddies speak of?"
Why is everyone assuming that someone else is healing my wounds! Damn it, someone actually do it! Please :)
Jillian groans as she comes back to her senses, still unsure of what just happened. She doesn't feel like getting back up, all the fight has been knocked out of her, despite the raging battle going on around her.
I like the style of play right now. I am quickly falling in love with these long walls of text being spewed (is that the right word?) from our DM. I especially like the past tense style, and the thought of a deeper narrative verse a more mechanical style of play.
By the way, am I expected to post, as I am on the ground, nearly unconcious? If I must, my move will be to stay down, until I have no enemies nearby, giving me the ability to rise up without provoking an attack of oppurtunity...
Jillian pauses half way up the stairs, whipping her head around to stare at the commotion. She then turns back to the door, where the voices have stopped, and prepares to strike at the first thing that comes through. (Hopefully catching that person flat-footed?)
Jillian hears the plan, but has her own in mind. "I am interested in who is upstairs" she whispers. And begins to move up the closest set of stairs.
Move Silently: 15+6=21
Listen: 18+4=22
Spot 14+3=17
Listen 19+4=24
Jillian motions to those following her, to keep quiet, pointing to the closest set of stairs.
well, ladies first :)
Open Lock: 14+10=24
With Alandra's help, and the aid of the other, Jillian manages to open to lock. She glances over at Zalen. It seems he can do something, at least. With this she sneaks into the next room attempting to remain unheard or seen.
Move Silently: 11+6=17
Hide: 13+8=21
Can I try once more to open the door, with a +2 bonus from Zalen's help (in the PHB under Skills), giving me +10 to Open Lock?
Open Lock 13+8 is 21 damn
Ahhh, I did not think of this. Always ever so bright, TN.
"I have waited two years for this day. I can wait fifteen extra seconds, as long as we accomplish what we have been summoned for." is Jillian's reply
Is it agreed that Zalen and I will sneak ahead of the group in attempt "case" the fishery?
"Shall we go now, or wait for tomorrow? If we wait, I know I won't be getting any sleep tonight." Jillian waits for another to act before going anywhere.
Sounds good to me,as long as everyone else agrees
As the ghost leaves, Jillian pauses for a second, before turning to the group of new friends, and smiles for the first time in weeks. It is the smile of one who knows they are about to win, and can't wait to shove in thier opponent's face, "Am I the only one who has waited so long for revenge?"she asks.
"Let's see what luck I have today." Drawing number 5
"I will try to use my quickness as best I can to reach our common goal"
Krek wrote: Tilting his head, not his eyes, Krek replied "You make friends at odd times." "There is a saying in my tribe. 'He who can make friends with the strongest warrior, is the strongest warrior'." After surveying the room, she looks back at the half-orc. "I don't think anyone here doubts that you are the strongest. So once again, I say, you look like a good friend to have."
As the man goes around treating the meeting as if it were a party, Jillian becomes suspicious. This man can do nothing but smile, even though this group has obviously been brought together for a very important reason. I will have to be careful with this one she thinks.
At the entrance of the huge half-orc, Jillian steps forward.
"You look like a good guy" She says in broken Common. "I have a feeling it would help if we were friends."
Not used to so many people in a small place, Jillian hangs back in the shadows, fingering the hilt of her rapier.
Don't they realize that any other person in this room could be a potential enemy? she thinks to herself, as she sees the many people calmly talking.
The small halfling still remains quiet, wanting to remain uninvolved, less she be distracted when trouble arises. I did not cross half the land to die because of some smooth-talking human
GM:
Sneaking in behind these large, clumsy people, Jillian says nothing, instead choosing to wait and see what luck she can find here.
I am ready!
DM and Zalen:
Alright, here's the tricky, little rogue. Check the backstory, stats, etc. see if she's ok
