Jillian cringes at the smell of musty perfume. "Ugg, let's get in and out of here as quickly as possible. she manages to cough out.
Jillian peers into the gross waters. She pulls back, not only because of the disgusting smell, but also because she doesn't want to encourage the city's problem with jigsaw shark infestation. "Let's get heading out of here, I need some sleep... and a bath." she shudders.
Jillian nods in agreement, "Yeah, the quicker we get out of here, the better."
Jillian goes for her coins, but finds nothing, as she used it all on that smelly apprentice. She smiles to herself, before yelling out some words of encouragement.
Knowledge = 2
Jillian looks curiosly at the group at the mention of this strange word. She was sure she knew the majority of the language being spoken, but hey, you learn something new every day.
I'm back :)
Jillian stops zoning out. It had been a long day, but it should be over soon. she thought to herself. This spider-guy looked pretty creepy to her, and she wasn't sure she completely trusted him...
Throughout the conversation, Jillian will pop in if she catches Zalen trying to Bluff is way out of anything: Bluff=23, 18+5
Giving Zalen a +2 on any Bluff checks he makes.
Jillian glances over at Ayedah for a second, seeing that something isn't right, but gets distracted by Krek's invitation to head to the gambling halls.
"I don't think a man as important as the 'King of Spiders' would have time to dabble in petty games." she glances at the rest of the group, "But I do not feel like making a descision for my comrades."
As everyone gets used to the area. Jillian settles in. She had been here many times looking for information on Lamm. Looking back, it all seemed so long ago...
Not wanting to be the last in the room with this pig, Jillian skips along outside with Krek, glad that the encounter is over.
Krek wrote: "At least we'll have a show to see while we talk to him." *rolls eyes*
Seeing that the big people really couldn't solve thier own problems, Jillian steps forward to help.
"Ayedah, do not trouble yourself with scum like him, for it will help nothing." She glances over at Trep,"but hopefully this man can learn from this experience. I feel that as long as he can help, we must let him. For the better of the city."
Cant see Post 451...
Sorry for lack of post. End of term at school, super busy. Will try to catch up ASAP
As tensions step up in the room, Jillian steps back. Always better to let the bigger people sort out their troubles before trying to help them.
Alandra wrote: "Trollgelder" she whispered to Jillian, giggling. "hmmm... I will consider it."
Jillian follows her friends back to Zellara's, and then gets ready to head out again. Despite her initial want to bring Gireo along, Zalen had swung her opinion, and she no longer feels the need to risk a "child's" life.
"It seems that we won't be heading out until tomorow, so I'm going to spend the night training Gireo."
DM see OOC
"Oh wow... I'm not on top of things today (tonight). " Jillian steps out of the room and takes a deep breath before entering the room and letting someone else run the conversation.
"I'm sorry if I was unclear. I meant the closest night. I agree with Ayedah, tonight seems best."
Alandra wrote: "What sounds like a plan? Going there now or tomorrow afternoon?" "I think we should head out as soon as possible. Maybe we should try to meet up with the rest of the group first?" *
*Are some people still in the breakaway thread?
"Sounds like a plan. I assume that Zalen can lead us there?" Jillian makes a mental note of where the platinum drawer is as she turns to Zalen.
Jillian cannot help but feel she is missing out on some telepathic conversation occuring in the room... she scuffs her boot, and looks around awkwardly, waiting for someone to react to the silence left after Zalen's remark...
Jillian looks down. "Hmm... you're right. In such dangerous times, I don't think it's a great idea for a two and a half foot halfling to order others around... Gireo, run home and work on your skills. We will meet you later." After his dismissal, Jillian turns back to the board. "I don't have any preference to where I serve, personally."
Alandra wrote: "What does the Field Marshall want us to do?" she asked Sabina. "Do you know?" "Yeah.. It might have been a good idea to find out what were doing before we accept, for future reference..."
"Sounds like a plan. Where to Sabina?"
1d20+3=23
Damn, leave it to me to waste a nat. 20 on a know. local
Jillian raises her eyebrows as Zalen makes his move on. "Uh, Z, you may not know this, but that is none other than Sabina Merrin, close friend of the new queen herself..."
"hmmm... maybe Knee-slasher? or Ankle-biter? Toenail Cutter? What if I were to encounter a troll? I couldn't reach his gut for my life!"
Jillian looks up at the guards, "Sorry, I didn't name my weapon yet. Any ideas guys?" She turns to the group.
Jillian will give up her weapons, but makes a mental note to keep a hidden dagger on her person at all times.
"If I knew the queen, would I be here right now?" Jillian responds with a smile
"Hmm... Oh, is he here? I think that Gireo is big enough to take care of himself. He wants to tag along, I don't see why not." Jillian dismisses him. "Where I'm from, warriors learn to fight at ages even younger than him."
"Wow! Were not that worried about this guy, are we?" Jillian asks. "We have priorities, let's leave this guy for the guard, and be on our merry way." Jillian has learned from life in a small tribe that survival of the fittest is usually best.
"Anyone know a good doctor?" Jillian asks the bystanders in general.
Jillian steps back. "Watch yourselves, not only is he mentally unstable, there seems to be something physically wrong with him"
In response to Ayedah: "I haven't been here too long, but yes, that is the general impression I get." she says with a smile.
Initiative: 1d20+4=22
At the man's jump, she pulls her rapier. "Relax. I suggest you go home and leave everyon be, you crazy fool."
Diplomacy: 1d20=3
Uh oh
Gireo steps up to defend his new master. "Yeah!" he says with an air of importance, drawing his dagger.
"Hmm... I was going to let you defend yourself with your scrawny little fists, but now that I think about it... sure, let's get you a dagger." After the day of shopping is over (finally) Jillian cannot help feeling a bit lighter. Catching up with the rest of the group, she tells Gireo to stay close, and ever vigilant. I assume I can head back to the main thread?)
Not done yet.
"This guy is crazy, and I don't feel to confident letting him rant." Jillian whispers.
"Ugg.. let's get you some equipment.. and a bath."
"You can call me Jillian, and yes, here's 9 silver (I don't like small change). Now, lets get you equiped." Shopping spree! Jillian will pay for everything the boy needs to be a decent rogue.
How should I deal with this? Can I make him an alias to help control him? What levels should I give him, etc...
GM TerraNova wrote: While most of the children were human, there was one who could not be mistaken for one. It was easily the dirtiest, most dishevelled halfling Jillian had ever had the misfortune of meeting. From the look, especially his still-sleeping face, he was almost grown up. You would not have thought so, though. He had nothing male about himself. No broad shoulders, no hint of facial hair. Great. Just great
Jillian will slowly wake up the dirty halfling by poking him with a crossbow. (He might have some disease, and I have a low Fortitude) "Hey there, fellow halfling, I would like to inform you that Gaedren Lamm is dead and you have no secure future, not that you had one before. I suggest the best course of action is to be apprenticed by the trickiest rogue to stroll these streets.
Am I right to think you have offered Jillian an apprentice?!?!
:O
"I suppose I can take one who is willing" She will look for a halfling (of course) to apprentice.
"I think with a group like this, a venture out to the streets should be safe enough, assuming you cover my backs as I will cover yours" Jillian feels a connection with these tall folk, after the night's events. They seem to be the right group to go along with. "I suggest heading out as soon as we solve the problem with these children..."
Level 2 Jillian!
"Uh... yeah. What he said."
She follows the group out the door.
"Oh really?" Jillian says with a smirk. "That sounds good"
"We done here?"
bump
"Thank you for your help, Zellara." says Jillian.
Is the strongbox still locked? or can we take the cards?
If she can get the cards, Jillian takes them, and tosses them to Zlaen. "If I hold on to these, they'd be lost within the day"
Jillian is equally stunned as her comrades. "all I can say is that I hope you may rest in peace from this point on."
