This issue went well for me, as I had been looking for some new ideas on a campaign I was preparing.
The article on using music during gameplay introduced a new concept to me, and their suggestions for songs seem to have some really good picks, even if their method offered for getting them(A D&D-supported iMixes folders) is out-of date.
I also got a lot out of their Creature Catalog this time around, with my favorite of the list being the Scarecrow monster. A construct with a malevolent look that's seething with fear affects, it hit a note with me, and may see usage in my campaign sooner than later.
Overall, all of the articles held some interest by me, and I would like to think others would find this issue as helpful as I have.
I was looking for a familiar to go with my Gnoll, and look what I find. The reasonable price and fair condition make this a good buy for me, and it has a lot of potential in various roles during play, from summoning to random encounters to a hero's pet.

A decent paint job paired with the cool pose help this mini stand out from those around it and helps make it an ideal choice any dual-wielding sword fighter, be-it fighter or ranger.

A decent figure with a good pose and imposing build, there is some to be desired as far as it's limited details. Plus, upon further inspection, I noticed the paint job was a bit off on the werebear's teeth, as if they started to color the individual teeth molded on the figure, then decided to just paint the teeth on mid-way.
Overall, an okay piece.
Meh. -_-
This well-done piece surprised me when I got it. The pose appeared frail in the image, but the figure has nary a wobble, unbent where some other miniatures have failed. The other nice feature I found was the paint detail. From the variation in the dog's fur to the individual straps featured on the clothing, the piece has plenty of features here and there that have been painted, adding a nice bit of texture here and there.
Definitely a good buy for me. However, while I give this 5 stars, I would like others to keep in mind that this piece, due to it's specific usage, might not be for everyone, especially with it's higher-than-average price.

One look at this little kobold tells you he's no ordinary -4 Strength lizard. Everything, from his steel armor, blade and large skull shield, which is atleast 4-times the size of his own head, to his confrontational pose, you can tell this guy is tough and ready to battle whatever comes at him, something you don't often see in his usual ilk. Whether it be the mini for a PC choosing this diminutive race as their own, which is how I use him, or as stalwart NPC standing defiantly to challenge the adventurers as his brethren run for their traps, this figure works excellently.

For the price, the Celestial Dire Badger seemed like a nice deal, and would make for a good random animal or animal companion. Thankfully, I was right and so much more. The paintwork and build of it is detailed and solid, and looks strong enough to fit it's typical roles well. I'm sure I'll use it soon enough.

For a mostly-black clad figure, he is surprisingly well-detailed. The biggest gripes I had with the figure was the awkward angle that the ninja is standing at when I received it and the slightly bent sword. Seeing as the arm covers up most of the sword, from that side it just looks like a curved blade, but he seems to be leaning a bit too much to his right, and I'm not quite sure if this intentional or if it was bent this way during shipping. Either way, both issues are minor and can be overlooked.
The figure gets the job done, and looks good on the battlefield, leaning or not.
