So...not to depreciate your Kickstarter, but does that mean no official Psionics? 3rd party stuff is not society legal and is banned at many tables.

I can't speak to what Paizo might do in the future, but if Pathfinder is any indication, it would be more like Psychic Magic rather than "Psionics."

And since we don't know when that might come out and we prefer the point-based system and there's the Starfinder Compatibility License, we decided to do our own system, just as we did for Pathfinder.

Thank you so much for sharing the campaign!

For those interested in the book, you can check out our current playtest documents:

Signal Confirmed - includes the psionic races, the aegis class, psionic feats, and the soulknife archetype

Encryption Decoded - includes the specialist psionic class, psionic feats, psionic powers, and manifesting rules

Thanks for your support!

Psionics for spaceships / ship combat is certainly something we're keeping in mind, although nothing we're committing to yet.

The cover art is actually using some stock art that was available for licensing and all I can tell you about the artist is their handle: grandfailure.

We have launched our Kickstarter to fund the Psionics Guide, a 200+ page full color, hardcover book!

At the time of this posting, the project is already nearly 70% funded in the first day.

The Psionics Guide will have:
11 psionic races
4 psionic classes
Psionic Feats
Psionic Powers
Psionic Equipment

There are stretch goals to unlock additional content like more content, more artwork, and psionic character sheets.

You can back it here!

If you want to learn more about the contents, you can check out our playtest packets on the Dreamscarred Press Starfinder Psionics page.

The playtest for the Psionics Guide continues! While we continue to digest all the information from Wave 1 - Signal Confirmed - now get ready for Wave 2 - Signal Decoded.

In this round of the playtest is the Specialist class, a psionic manifester who is a versatile and adaptable class that takes its roots from the Marksman, Dread, and Cryptic classes from Pathfinder.

Also included are the rules for Autohypnosis, three more feats, psionic focus, power displays, manifesting rules, and forty psionic powers. Constantly hungry for feedback, folks, lay it on me if you’ve got it!

You've been waiting for it. We've been working to get it ready. And now it's here! The first playtest documents for the Psionics Guide are ready for download!

This playtest, Signal Confirmed includes the information needed to play our psionic races (as well as how they have fared in the far future), the aegis class, our soulknife archetype for any Starfinder class, and a scattering of psionic feats

Enjoy and please let us know your feedback!

Feel free to email it to me at dreamscarredpress AT gmail dot com.

Expanded Knowledge is a great feat for Vitalists, as their power list is limited. It would give you some versatility or some offensive options.

Extra Transfer could be good to get more power point free offensive options.

any fun mini-releases planned for the halloween holiday? specifically in relation to the dread and scary stuff in general. this isn't much of a serious request, just something that sounds neat to me.

There had been discussions on one, but I believe other projects and real life sidelined that idea for this year, unfortunately.

As a proud owner of Ultimate Psionics, is there a plan to combine some of these newer releases into an Ultimate Psionics 2 at some point?

Possibly - but with quite a few Psionics Augmented in the works, the question would be where to stop.

I will say that we are in the process of taking the Psionics Augmented releases for Wilder, Soulknife, Psychic Warrior, and Disciplines and putting them into a softcover, since right now they're only available in PDF. I'm hoping to have that ready next month.

Right now, it's mostly the stuff in playtest like the Voyager. We're also waiting on some artwork to wrap up for the Rajah.

I realized that although we'd been getting our new books up at the store, I've done a terrible job of announcing them! So here's your round-up of new Pathfinder RPG options from Dreamscarred Press!

Some of these might be a little bit old - but if you haven't heard of them, then they're new to you!

Psionics Augmented: Highlord - Play as a new psionic base class, the highlord, who uses manifesting and control tactics to lead his allies to victory. Includes the new class, its tenets and powers, new feats, and alternate racial favored class options.

Psionics Augmented: Highlord II - an expansion for the highlord base class, this book includes two new archetypes and four new tenets and their powers.

Divergent Paths: Fool's Errand - a brand new Path of War martial-themed discipline, as well as new feats, tradition, and archetype.

Unfettered Dreams: Malefex - the malefex is a new psychic class focusing on curses and street tactics, with
21 knocks, 43 malefactions, feats and favored class bonuses, and the rustpicker archetype

Psionics Augmented: Occult - The compilation of our Occult Psionics series, this book combines all of the constituent parts into one 90-page book. It looks like it's not available here in print (I'll have to get that sorted...), you can get it in print from Amazon or Dreamscarred.com

Bloodforge Infusions: Esoteric Energies - This 19-page PDF includes 3 new races, the astreidi, the eiremian, and the ethumion, alternate racial favored class options for these races, new feats for the new races, and the ravid creature.

Will you be converting Ultimate Psionics to Starfinder, or starting from the ground up?

It's not a direct conversion, but we're keeping a lot of the thematic elements of it. So, kind of somewhere in between is the best way to explain it, I suppose. Things that no longer make sense to keep are going away, things that need to be changed are being changed. Things that fit in Starfinder are coming over within Starfinder's paradigm.

Also, off topic but something I'm dying to know: are there any plans for a spiritual successor to Path of War for Starfinder?

Nothing immediately, no. It would be some time before we'd be at a spot to tackle that. It requires a level of system mastery that takes time to develop.

In the distant future, when magic and technology have blurred the lines of what can be accomplished and travel among the stars is a reality, the powers of the mind have flourished. Introducing the Psionics Guide (working title), a psionics system for the Starfinder RPG!

The Psionics Guide will include the psionics rules for the Starfinder RPG, as well as new races, classes, feats, archetypes, and more! This isn’t just Psionics Unleashed for Starfinder. We’ve evaluated every piece of psionics to determine what fits in the game and what needs to be changed.

After the Psionics Guide, we plan to release new creatures and enemies for the Starfinder RPG, including new psionic monsters. Other possible supplements include additional new player options like races, classes, feats, powers, and items, as well as adventures and monsters. Psionic space ships and other vessels are being considered for later supplements

At Dreamscarred Press, we try not to give a timeline, as we don’t work on this full time, so we do not yet have an ETA for when these books will be available. However, we plan to run our playtests in public to get player and community feedback. We have found that public playtests make the products better and we intend to continue that tradition.

Dreamscarred Press

Sorry! It's been in progress. The consolidated book is going through layout and it's just been more work than expected, combined with a variety of other factors outside of the span of this project.

There is more planned for Monster Classes, but it would be in a new book - all the classes for this Work in Progress are out, we're just working to get the combined book completed!

Released in 2014, Path of War introduced the maneuver system for combat in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. Since that release, there have been some items that need to be updated in the book based upon further feedback and analysis. To this end, we have compiled the changes into an errata file. This initial 11-page PDF file includes those changes except maneuver-specific changes. That additional work is still ongoing and will be released once available.

You can download the errata here!

UPS shows they should arrive on Monday, the 27th.

I love the flavor of Rend Body, it's a great concept :)

What's the deal with the save, though? It says Fort partial (see text), but nothing in the text mentions a save. Is it Fort for half damage, like Burst of Force?

So, uh... I wrote that a while back and looking at my notes... I believe I intended that the Fort save would block the limb from being removed, but you'd still suffer full damage... but I might have also intended it to reduce the damage, but not the limb removal. I'm PRETTY sure it was to block the limb from being removed, but I'm not 100% sure.

That's a mixup on my part for not putting that explanation in there, but I don't want to claim official ruling on that.

Burst of force is kind of fun, though having it centered on you is a bit of a bummer. Debilitating pain is, uh, wow. So... we currently have two hardcover books available: Ultimate Psionics and Psionic Bestiary. Psionic Bestiary is only available in hardcover from limited locations, since hardcover is much harder to get into distribution than softcover.

For Path of War, there is currently Path of War and Path of War Expanded, both in softcover. We have not combined them into a hardcover, although that is something we have discussed.

Also for Path of War, we have PDF options in the Divergent Path series - currently with the Roil Dancer and Medic releases.

Finally, for psionic releases post Ultimate, there are:
Psionic Bestiary (B&W softcover, color softcover, color hardcover) - book of monsters
Psionics Embodied (B&W softcover, color hardcover) - book of NPCs
Psionics Augmented: Seventh Path (color softcover) - psionics and undead
Psionics Augmented: Mythic Psionics (color softcover) - mythic support

There are also additional PDF-only supplements for psionics.

It's still something I have planned... but I'm basically the lead on that project and I still have too many other responsibilities to sort out.

It is something I'm working on as time allows - it's just finding that "as time allows" that's the trick.

The latest in our Divergent Paths series of supplements for Path of War, the medic, is now available! The medic introduces combat healing using the Path of War maneuver system. But don't think the medic is only about healing - she can kick butt in combat, too.

Included with the medic you also get four new archetypes, new feats, alternate favored class options, and four new magic items.

You can get the Medic here from Paizo, and also from the Open Gaming Store, DriveThruRPG, and Dreamscarred.

The Medic was made possible thanks to the support of our Patreon campaign.

To be clear, you have:

Feats
Point Blank Shot (Core Rulebook)
Psionic Shot (Ultimate Psionics)
Psionic Shot (Mythic) (Mythic Psionics)
Mythic Psionic Attacks (Mythic Psionics)

Overmind Path - Naturally Focused path ability

If you expend psionic focus as part of a ranged attack, you would gain 4d6+2 (4d6+3 if you are within 30 ft.) on all ranged attacks for that round.

Dreamscarred Press

Thank you for posting about that... I didn't have a chance to pop open my PDF and relied on d20pfsrd... that'll learn me!

We'd been working on stats for the iconics, but lost much of the data when we had to change website hosts. The stats had been provided by backers and was in a private, backer-only forum. We've never released them in any sort of "official" capacity.

Not that I'm aware of... print copies are on the way, but I don't know why that would have disabled the option.

Sorry for the delayed reply! While we might revisit it in the future, for now, Superior Psicrystal can only be taken one time. Similarly, Psicrystal Affinity can only be taken one time.

Just like normal they can't add unwilling members unless they have The Unwilling Participant feat.

This isn't compatible with familiar and/or animal companions.

Good questions!

2 Weeks tomorrow since I decided to subscribe to the Lost Omens line and my book sits in a side cart. Everyone is reviewing the book, but not me.

Same thing happened when Dark Archive came out. Tried to start a subscription to the rule book line, went to Gen Con, a week after the book came out without any information of where I stood, everyone around me reading their Dark Archive but not me. Eventually I cancelled the order.

Are we as customers allowed to get angry about this? I love Pathfinder, I love the writing, but I am starting to think that maybe Paizo does not care about me.

It is inconceivable to me that if someone subs to a product line, that they do not receive their items in a time frame that would make the customer feel rewarded for creating this long term relationship.

What do you recommend for the Society \ Pathfinder Lore DC at the very beginning of the adventure.

We are always looking for new players. Come on out and join the fun!

Starting in September Pathfinder Society will have a weekly presence in Buffalo New York. I've already set up biweekly games at Painted Ogre in Lockport and I hope to add a game on opposite weeks at Dragon Snack Games in Amherst. I have also put a group together to offer Pathfinder Society at Queen City conquest where we will be offering more than 20 tables over 3 days. Check out our Facebook group for more information

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1030818056928697/

I am doing some projections for my wife's character. We just started doing Pathfinder Society last week (with myself as GM). I have a lot to learn...

She will be a level 6 human fighter who is trying to focus on crits while two handed fighting with the following feats:

1: Two Weapon Fighting, Weapon Focus (Kukri)
2: Power Attack
3: Double Slice
4: Weapon Specialization (Kukri)
5: Iron Will
6: Improved Two Weapon Fighting

Level 5 was easy. 1 main hand attack, 1 offhand attack

Level 6 is not so easy for me to understand.

Is it:
a) There is an additional off hand attack granted by ITWF (at -5)
b) There is an additional main hand attack granted by BAB +6
c) There is an additional off hand attack granted by the fact that you're two weapon fighting and your BAB is +6

It is "C" that I am especially confused about.

This is the rest of the feats. I would love a critique if you are willing.

7: Improved Initiative
8: Improved Critical
9: Critical Focus
10: +1 Str Greater Weapon Focus
11: Two Weapon Rend
12: Greater Weapon Specialization (Kukri)

Thank you.

Can you use the same weapon for both checks when:

a) you are fighting multiple monsters (Check to defeat A then B)
b) you kill a henchman then the "When Closing" condition states: "summon and defeat C"

Note: A, B, and C reference monsters in a scenario. I do not wish to spoil the content of said scenario thus we are fighting the alphabet in this situation.

I have successfully completed the first solo scenario from the base set, titled "Brigadoom!" using the location "Woods". I wish to play the scenario again, using the second location "Waterfront". The card suggests that to play "Waterfront" I must also include "Woods" thereby having 2 locations in this scenario. This is certainly true for 2-6 players but is that how solo play works?

(I am defining solo play as literally playing only one character in the scenario, not controlling two or more players as their sole operator.)

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Gil
