My Vote is for Malcanthet only cause she was mentioned to have something to do witht he savage tide adventure path and there is little other info on her.
Ok I am working an epic adventure for you guys at Dungeon Right now I have finished the whole rough story phase and I am now actually getting down to the hard stuff. But I was wondering where your writers guidelines are.
The addiction has gotten so bad with me I am now involved in three games on thursday, friday and sunday. I am dming 2 of them (AoW) and (STAP). On thursday they just managed to kill Illthane, and friday I will be playing my 6th level ranger in The Red Hand of Doom. And sunday they should get out of the tunnels under parrot Island and start invading th guildhall of the Lotus Dragons.
OK I am creating a paladin of pholtus for a game coming up soon. I would like to know what pholtus' favored weapon is.
Hehe, I'll tell you how I got rid of the power gamer in my group. I set a dominate person trap on him. He immediately started attacking the party and the party went and cut him down... after that he was pretty pacified and now realizes when making some screwed up ubercharacter that does everything can acyually hurt you. hehehehehe.
The funnest thing I've experienced with CoC, is when I brought back one of the pc's from a former game as a npc. He was stark raving crazy yelling at the pcs to run for their lives (poor man had a guided tour of Carcossa). But regardless I think he's the only survivor of note in a CoC game. And he freaked out my players especially the player that he once belonged to.
Ok as a dm who uses miniatures for encounters will you guys have a good listing of what we could use for minis in the Adventure Path. I already got lucky enough to find an aspect of Demogorgon at my local gaming shop. What else might I need?
Smite him....SMITE HIM.....OR send him to my area of the Abyss hehehehehehe
YAAAAYYYY I love Dagon. But I think Malcanthet will be right after that only because of her mention in the next Adventure Path.
Ok this is my guess but we will see how close to the truth I am. The next demonomicon article will be written up on Oox-Ob, followed by Malcanthet, and maybe right after that Demogorgon. But I still hope for Dagon sometime soon.
My vote is for Eligos. Just cause there has to be some reason for bringing him back. And more than likely Celeste as well.
I know I know, Thessalar riding his thessalkraken with his fiendish sahuagin squad riding half fiend dire sharks :)
Ok my players are heading to the free city of greyhawk next game and I realize I really know nothing about the city. Can anyone tell me general info like population gold piece limits. Who rules the city. Power groups and so forth.
Encounter At Blackwall Keep
Malcolm the rogue got infested with worms. Failed his fortitude saven and then grabbed the necklace of fireballs as the worm was eating his brain and yelled out "I regret nothing" jumped out the door and swallowed the necklace of fireballs as it activated and bits of malcolm flew all over the keep and on the other party memebers.

Erabar
(Three Faces of Evil)
(caverns of Erythnul)
Well we'll just call that move Crouching Bard Hidden Choker.
Now I love the core beliefs article it has helped me run my greyhawk campaigns so much easier, but I would like to see some of the darker sides of the greyhawk pantheon. It would give some really cool insights plus it could really help me flesh out my villians. I want to see one on Nerull just so I can kinda get more ideas about the god of death. He's a major deity and yet I see very little info on him. Not like Vecna (whom I also love) who gets a lot of material on him. Anyone else have any cool ideas for dark deities featured in core beliefs?
I was wondering what did you put in the green slime. I got creative and totally screwed around with a Nightcrawler.
Well some might remeber me a little while ago looking for advice. Well I decided after talking with my players and finding out what they were looking for we started the "Age of Worms". And it was an outstanding success. After seeing the scene in the observatory with the zombies at the dining Room table they were totally freaked out. Were about 3 sessions into "The whispering Cairn". And things are great. I would like to personally thank Erik Mona, James Jacobs, Mike Mearls, Sean Reynolds, Jason Bulmahn, Tito Leati, Wolfgang Baur, Jesse Decker, Richard Pett, Nicolas Logue, Greg Vaughan, and everyone involved in the production of this adventure path.

Meanwhile... An AP of primarily sea-faring/underwater adventures? Wow, it's just like Chris Perkins' run on Dungeon! ;p Nope I just really love flumphs, they're just a good mascot thats all. (That I think kobolds get way too much of a spotlight).
Thanks for the clarification. I was really wondering what the whole story was.
Ok I was wndering if someone could kinda clear up this story for me. Here's what I know Rary was once a part of the counsel of eight. And he for some unknown reason betrayed them in some way and attacked/ possibly killed/ raided some of there castles. A friend of mine told me that he killed Tenser and Bigby, but I was unsure of that. Can anyone clear the story up for me?
I was wondering if anyone has or knows of a place I could get a hard copy of Dungeon #112. I would be willing to pay good money for it.
Ok I am starting a new campaign that I am preparing myself. And I think I have decided on the main enemy. "Geryon" deposed lord of the fifth. I'm thinking that he is now schemeing of gaining more power on the material plane. By forming a new church. Possibly posing as something good and holsum but in actuality is involved in some terrible schemes. So if anyone has any adventure ideas for my campaign please give me a message.
Thursday is the day I get to see how it all starts to work out. I'll give you a detailed message and log of it once it's all over with.
Thanks for all the tips. I have registered to some gaming sites and am now trying to prepare some adventures. I'm also gonna subscribe to both Dungeon and Dragon magazines. Keep the tips coming. And Thanx a lot.
So this is how it is. I have been thrown into the position of being a dm with only playing the game about 2 years or so. The gorup I play with has even less experience than I do and well since the last dm left I have had to take on this role. While I admit I can have some good ideas once and awhile I still need help. I've started by studying the dm's guide and other sourcebooks and reading the articles in Dungeon magazine. But I really need some help. It now seems that if I don't take this role D&D will die in my group so I have started with a few games here and there and so far it's been a shaky start. I would appreciate any imput you can give me, since I know there are many experienced gamers on this sight. Any info will help.
Yes I have the most screwed up pair ever. One is a human sorceress worshiper of wee Jas. And her half-brother (A product of their mother being raped by a vasharan human) A cleric of Nerull. One is Lawful Neutral, the other is Neutral Evil. So the pair are really creepy one is a goth chick who only travels to see how they all die or her enemies die. And the other takes unfettered joy in death and especially gruesome unusual deaths. So we are having lots of fun.
The Sandman series
Lucifer
Endless Nights
American Gods
Anything by H P Lovecraft
Neil Gaiman rules and is totally imaginative look his stuff up.
O yes I do tell them that each species may have trouble interacting with certain others. such as dwarves with elves and and monstrous humanoid with humans. And that its really a lot of fun if you get used to it.
Ok maybe it's just me but I have a problem when I play a monster character. As both a dm and player i get both flavors but recently i decided to play a half-drow to add flavor. And since it was unusual to see such a creature and it looked pretty much drow my dm did nothing for reaction value. I mean come on I want some sort of shock value.
And on the other side when was dming and someone wanted to play a troll and I let them and then tried to trot into a small town and got met with armed guards they got mad at me. Wel he's a troll, sure he might be a good troll but do you honestly think that people are willing to risk it. Trolls eat people. And thge players got mad. Is it just me or is good roleplaying dying on that aspect?
Where did I place that play what was it again??? O yeah "The king in shreds in tatters" Gotta love Marlowe. HASSSSS TUUUURRRR
I am really enjoying "The Age of Worms". But I'm just wondering what the next campaign released be Dungeon will be and if they've given any hints about it. All I've heard so far is that it's in the works. And I wonder when it will be released. Anyone have any info?
The most annoying player I had was the shifty rogue type who, among other things refused to make up a back story for his character, refuse to even listen to the storyline, and everytime he entered a new room on the map would refuse to let me describe the room, and if there were no fights going in in a 3 minute interval he would get all pissy and say "where's the action" or "Come on let's fight already". Eventually he decided not to play my games anymore so I can't exactly say I mourn the loss.
