Its a lot better then the first D&D but that do to budget cuts by the Studio we got what we got. The Second Film was far better and seemed like a natural progression of how the game was. This film felt even better as they added even more items from the game into the film as it felt like great session of D&D.
I am running Falcon's Hollow set of Modules and one of my players drew from the Deck of Many Things I created one was Mithril Shovel. You may asked why I did it was there isnt a Rogue we have Ninja in the party and well sometimes it nice to have lil expensive items in there as it pure dumb luck. So how much would it be to get it enchanted with Find Traps so I know when they leave the town and head to Olfden.
I have insomnia and think about characters and classes so I was watching Outlaw Star and was thinking thinking of making a Caster Gun but Pathfinderize it.
So after long thaught process I was thinking Human Magus since Spell Slinger limits magic schools plus I love the class.
Stats on a 20 pnt buy
1St lvl Gunsmithing
I have to agree with most Artificer bieng Alchemist arch type. My idea is you give up metagen class feature for at will detect and read magic and bombs are powered down to 1d4 from 1d6. You take item creation feats in place of discoveries. You get Knowldge Engineering in place of Nature
Armored Kilt is great and if your Magus with Mithril Chain Shirt by 6th lvl all you have to do is by a Mithril Armored Kilt at 7th and that is all you have to buy then opposed to buying full sit of new armor plus being mithril is considered light armor and you can sleep in it.
I dont this type its really hard to do as alch is hybrid class of sorts i always consider them as potions wizard. Now 1 lvl dip is fine if your wizard that takes a dip in as alch you can take it at 3rd lvl take arcane armor training so you can where light armor/brew potions feats as the alch.
The reason I say that is that you can get a cure light wound extract plus 2 other defensive extracts which on the plus side you can make some coin.
To answer your question about what and Archtype. They are just different flavor for a class they add at time skills but take something away like Sohori Monk archtype of a Monk can wear light armor but loses stunning fist as bonus feat but you can still take stunning fist feat later on.
Druid that can only have certain type of animal companion.
I dont see PF as losing that fantasy it bring many into one. As other has stated it up to the GM to allow and not allow in the game. In games I have been in we got a WoW like banking system so we dont always have gold on us and if we die then whats in the bank cant be looted by the party. We always have money to access if we leave town to go to another.
in the two games i am in I multiclass.
My kingmaker game alch 4/ wiz 2(uni)
my friend wild west homebrew
the reasons because it helps fill in roles we dont have ie more divine caster in king and ww because it sponetinus caster only expt for alch do to the set is where magic is still very new
Right now we are still in book 2 of the 6 and used the Stag Lord Fort as the center for out settlement the DM is cutting the BP for the castle in half as we already have free stand structure use as the keep. Our Settlement Name is Fort Freeland and NG align Settlement of 3000 people plus 2 herds of Goats.
Well my party we have 5 PCs gnome pyromaniac 3 alch/1 wizard, assimar 4 cleric of Serenrea (fire domain/healing domain), dward 4 fighter, Half-elf 3 Dragonic White Sorecerer, and Elf 4 Inqusitor. I basicly made potions of shield and we used basic milatry tactics of calling them out in waves took 20 rounds we won.
