I know it is a long-shot but I am trying to find players in Thailand. Any suggestions of other ways to find players?

I recently moved to Thailand and I am fairly new to Pathfinder. I have played a bit with a friend although we were not sure about some of the rules. I would like to get together with some gamers here in Thailand for some Pathfinder sessions. If anyone is interested, please let me know.

Bookrat, that is a great idea about dividing up the sections. To learn the whole system after being away from RPGs for many years has taken me a very long time.

ah, okay. Ya know, that one line example explained it very well. Why couldn't they put that in the book?

thanks!

It's interesting. I've noticed a lot of posts ending in that statement while wandering through the rules forum. I've looked back through the books, and have noticed that a lot of basic, simple info isn't there.

I'm not sure if it was an editting issue, complacency, or what. I'm not dogging Paizo, they've put out a great product, but some simple things were very overlooked. Base save was defined in 3.0, and I guess it was just assumed to be understood when carried over. Hopefully it will be cleaned up, along with those other basic oversites, when the next printing of the Core Rulebook is put out.

I am with you on this one. I really only played the original and advanced D&D so a lot of this system is new to me.

I love the system but some things are not that clear. I think that a section just to walk you through character creation would be nice. I get most of the rest of the system but just have some questions during creation.
