Hi friends, a little news today: We're starting a Patreon! Starfinder Facts has always been a labor of love, but we want to focus and invest more in our creative work, so as of today, you can now support us as Bearly Factual Productions!

We're starting small - little, achievable goals - but to start off, pledging will get us posting more, firing up Ye Olde Blog again, and even helping us with the process of commissioning art that doesn't look like it was made by a highly-talented toddler or lowly-talented adult!

If you've liked our content in the past, we hope you'll join us in this new phase of our evolution - we have a couple of big plans for after we spruce ourselves up, and we hope to announce them sooner rather than later.

For June, Starfinder Facts welcomes our second guest blog post - this one by the talented Alison Cybe! She gives us the Firebrand - a new theme for characters steeped in revolutionary rhetoric - and one of three themes as part of a new fundraiser giveaway!

"Giveaway, you say?" Yes, a giveaway! The steps are simple:

1.) Make a donation to Black Lives Matter
2.) Send us a screenshot of your donation and the best e-mail for us to send your Themes Of Revolution pdf. Screenshots can be DMed right to us on Twitter, or sent to starfinderfactsSPLATgmail.com!

Not only will you get your very own copy of the Firebrand, you will also receive two other brand new themes by the Starfinder Facts crew: The Dissenter, a canny street-level operative, and The Coordinator, an infosphere-riding manager of information!

We hope to see e-mails soon, so you can get to making your very own politically-engaged Starfinder characters post-haste!

Have no fear, an author is here! *trumpet sounds* I'm prepping this to run an online author session myself so this is all awesome things to note.

1. For the encounter in Part B, the Creatures entry states that there are four Keepers that ambush the PCs. However, only 3 Keeper locations are marked on the Encounter B map. The Encounter CR seems to add up to four enemies. Where should the fourth enemy be located? GM's choice?

Great question! The fight was originally designed for three enemies, so wasn't on the map we sent in - I'm going to add the fourth Keeper to the northern side so that it's a 2-and-2 pincer attack.

Kaushal Avan Spellfire wrote:
2. In Part C, Area C1 describes a door to the West and a hidden garbage chute to the North. However, the compass indicates the top of the map is North, which would mean that the door is North and the garbage chute is West. What is the correct orientation of the map?

Use the compass on map and change the text to match the map - so door to the North and hidden garbage chute to the West.

Also, on Page 5 it says the Starfinder Agents you help have no stats, but Pickle, the Envoy says the combat ability is Inspiring Boost.

How many Stamina Points do they give PCs? As that isn't listed anywhere.

Good question! Until this is clarified a good rule of thumb might be an expert-array creature of CR = APL (so APL 3 would be Cha +4, APL 4+ would be Cha +5).

My name is John Curtin and I approve this interpretation - 7 stamina for APL 3 (Cha +4 plus "level" 3), 5+APL for any APL higher than 3.

Hope you're enjoying the scenario so far!

Alright, finally found Aurus' sheets - took a little bit of digging. I got the gold to cover both the raise and the restos, so while donations are always agreeable in the eyes of Apsu, if someone wants to make a smaller donation in order to get some sweet piece of gear, Aurus would find that agreeable, especially on the grounds that it would put someone else in the front lines more.

Hey gang,

I think this is where Manteca is going to step off the ship. I've been getting way busier at work lately, to the point where I'm sometimes working way later (record so far is 2 in the am), plus the missus and I are going to need to help pack her parents up from their house and try to find a new apartment to live in ourselves. I'm dropping down to likely a lurker status on the boards, so I just don't think I can keep up the posting as the quirky lovable shirren, much as he would hate to abandon this awesome little found family.

Thanks for an awesome year of RP, and I hope you all enjoy the epic ending of the AP - it's well worth hanging around for. :) I grant full permission to Foxy to use Manteca as an NPC - maybe he stays on the ship as medic, or finally figures out the heaps of innuendo that Imagine has been piling on ;) I'll leave that up to you to decide.

See you, space cowboys.

Matarno stands alone in his crew quarters, taking apart a sandwich that the culinary synthesizer has put together for him. He pulls out a floppy disk of indeterminate protein that he tosses over his shoulder - but instead of hitting the floor, it drops 10 feet into the pit that he's created in his crew quarters, slapping wetly onto the stasis cocoon that he's storing in the pit. Matarno stares intently at the festooned cocoon for a minute, but sighs as the meatstuff slides off of the cocoon and makes a soft *splat* on the ground.

Subject does not appear to be able to voluntarily leave the stasis cocoon for sustenance, Matarno types into his mission notes.

Mysticism: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (16) + 15 = 31

Matarno purses his lips while examining the magical energies coursing unchecked through the ship.

That idiot Aldroxis's effort to activate the Drift engine is causing the destructive feedback loop of planar energies, which risks obliterating the King Xeros in short order. Disengaging all Azlanti modifications would reset the system and avert the disaster, but the ship would then default back to its base programming: sailing back into the Ethereal Plane. Given the lack of time and resources... This is the only reasonable option for saving the King Xeros.
