I picked up the new reissue of Tatters of the King (with a different cover than shown) and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Very creepy and atmospheric; if you want a great campaign featuring Hastur, look no further. My only issue is that at one or two points, the author basically says that Deus ex Machina HAS to be used if the investigators don't do certain things. And while I could go either way on that point, I think providing notes/a sidebar on altering the rest of the campaign around the player's choices would have been preferable.

The sculpt on the fiendish snake is one of the best, mostly because it works well with the base. The coiled portion of the snake makes it look larger and more threatening than some other minis because it covers the base so thoroughly. The pose is good, the paint job is good and if you're missing snakes or snake-like monsters in your collection, you can't go wrong with these guys.

When I received one of these guys in a pack of Blood Wars minis, I was very impressed with both the sculpt and the painting. The paint job on plastic minis can be rather disappointing at times, but this guy has a good color scheme and an attention to detail that you may not find on other figures. The only reason it isn't five stars is because the monster is really specific, so it would be difficult to sub it in for something else in a roleplaying context. Still, I may use the monster more because the mini is so good.
