It certainly looks like they have gone further into their org chart than they have before, and are eliminating some talent with longer histories, so this points to some sort of strategic realignment. Consequently, I am not surpised to see a purge in their digital chain of command. It's apparent they are behind schedule and have not executed to expectation. For example, Gleemax.

This is sorta off topic, but I always hear people talk about how Gleemax is such a failure. What was it intended to do? I always just assumed that it was where they hosted their forums.

That you can't articulate what it was supposed to be, tells you quite a bit about its failure.

I think... it was supposed to be an online gameboard form multiple platforms. It was also supposed to be a gamer "myspace".

Others may have more to add on this topic.

Wow, you're right, I had no idea that it was ever supposed to be anything other than an overblown message board.. I guess it sounds like kind of a cool idea though.. sorta.

Wow, this is really sad. Not only for the people who were laid off, but for anyone who is still following 4th ed. Oh well, all that you can really do is look for a silver lining... maybe we'll get to see a new edition of Over The Edge from Tweet? ::Drools a little::

To those who have at least physically seen this book--is it worth $60?

YES

I even wrote a review for it ;>

I'm thinking of buying this as well. Can you link the review? Thanks!

Not enough chainsaw swords.

LOL, you're right, maybe we should play W40k Dark Heresy!

Sorry, while in my 3.5 gaming expereince it is weaker than some (cleric & barbarian) I have not found it to be particularly a weak class. IMO they hold their own all the way to high levels. I am with your friend.

He agrees that clerics, wizards and druids are better... the problem that I am experiencing is fighter vs barbarian and ranger mostly. Sorry for not being more clear. I really appreciate the responses though!

@ Giant Eagle.

I do understand the Tolkien roots and all, but...

"Hey, some huge bird is flying there"
"Huge bird ? Great, incoming dinner. Can you get me a positive on what bird is it ?"
"Hmmm....looks like a Giant Eagle"
"Ah crap, he's intelligent, NG and all. No food today."

I would feel really cheated if I were a Giant Raven or Giant Hawk ;)

Actually, Giant Eagle is a great food source, with no alignment repercussions.

Giant Eagle.

Ha! I've always had trouble with this word association.

DM: You see a Giant Eagle over the horizon.

Player: Nice, I stop in and stock up on pierogies!

Another question is whether or not the drow's deity would be willing to relinquish the leader's soul. If they were to weak to live, would the deity allow them a second chance? Or would they be to entertained watching Yochlols (or whatever) eternally torment the offender?

As for the racial comparison chart, that has been on the new art list for quite some time.

Might I recommend getting Hugo Solis aka. Butterfrog to do it?

I would like to second this. Hugo's art is fantastic.

For example, I continued my home group on Shadowrun 3rd edition for quite some time after 4th edition was released. While I ran 4th ed at conventions, I stuck to 3rd ed at home. However we have now converted over to 4th edition and the players are finding it easier (i.e. it was in our interest to go through the pain of converting characters to get smoother gameplay).

You were able to run Shadowrun 3rd addition? You must be a math Major :)

@ Jason Nelson: Didn't you have a pretty in-depth thread about different effect that armor and shields should have? I don't remember the full scope, but I remember it being awesome.

They actually put out the final 7th Sea books with both the original AEG rules and D20 rules. Here's hoping Theah Revisited actually comes out at some point.

Yeah, the table with the feat progression is in a strange place. I had a lot of trouble finding it as well. Also, as far as I can tell, this is the only place that the increased number of feats is mentioned.
