(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Finally, the double doors.

Ixius helps Ovirid look for traps.

His +12 bonus auto succeeds on the aid another.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"I'm sure she would, Esteban is not man enough for her."

Ixius casts mage armor on himself.

"Shall we explore the rest of this level?"

Isn't there a set of double doors we have not gone through yet?

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"Lets stay up here then and go through the double doors. That thing will find us when it's ready I'm afraid. Unless we can think of a way to fight it on our terms, there is not much we can do about it now."

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"I'm coming with you. It seems like the only way to get out of here is to keep going down."

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius takes the last watch.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"Not a bug, just a tingling. I don't feel it now"

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"I think something was trying to get into my head."

With that roll it probably succeeded.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

DM Tarren:
Will save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Happy to be in human form again, Ixius looks at Sykala's with concern.

"I guess it doesn't matter much where we rest, that thing can find us anywhere I think"

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius buzzes after Korian.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius buzzes around Sykala's head.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"Here we go," Ixius puts his hands on the wall.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"Good guess Ovirid! I guess we all turn into fireflies and fly down the shaft then. I hope we turn back."

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"I don't like this. What about the doors? Should we check those out first?"

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"Just a door and a wall of sand. Let's leave the tiles alone for now and see what's behind that door, eh? Korian, can you walk?"

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ovirid Thorvirson wrote:
"Harumph. Dinnae think s'. 'ow 'bout ye, Refina? 'r ye able t' find out 'at be 'n 'is lil' fella's mind? Ixius?"

"What? Talk to Jinx? Sykala's the one who can talk to animals."

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius fidgets nervously while Ovirid examines the tiles, hoping what killed Korian does not reappear. Looking for something to do to take his mind off of the fact that their fearless leader has been severely weakened, he examines the doors and the wall of sand.

Also taking 20 for 31, 32 for traps

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius cheers as Korian comes to life.

"What happened here? Let this be a lesson not to split up in the future."

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Finally something to post again

Ixius is shocked to see the resourceful wizard slain. He looks around trying to get an idea of what happened.

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Also casting detect magic

"I guess that scroll is gonna come in handy already"

Does Refina have it?

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"Down the hole?" Ixius asks Sykala. If the answer is yes, he drinks the liquid and goes down.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Left Behind:
"Doesn't sound like much of a drinking song now...this can't be good."

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Although Ixius would prefer to explore on foot before venturing down the hole, he generally follows Sykala's advice.

"Let's drink up and go down the hole."

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius shakes his head in disbelief. "That was odd."

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"That sounds fun!"

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius laughs. "What other way is there? We better not mess with that any more. Shall I open the doors?"

If no one objects Ixius opens the double doors.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius squeezes through the tunnel into the next room. "Nice work ladies, you have some handy spells. Mine are mostly for burning things."

"Is this place full of puzzles and traps?" Ixius examines the doors.

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius goes ahead and opens the box.

If there are no objections, and assuming someone has read him the writing

"If we had Esteban with us he could put a gold piece in it. Since he is not here, what do we value most?"

Ixius is thinking Korian should put Jinx in the box.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius snaps out of his fascination with the columns and the sound they are making and hurries into the other room.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius checks out the pillars before entering the new room.

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Even more confused than Sykala about what is happening, Ixius draws another arrow and watches the runes.

"If he's the Pharaoh, what are we supposed to be?".

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius shoots.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Sneak attack damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Sneak attack damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius draws an an arrow and will shoot as soon as something substantial forms from the runes.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

That sounds about right.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius keeps shooting at the monster.

If within 30 ft.:
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

If Ixius is not within 30 ft. he moves up until he is and shoots once.

Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

+1 attack from bless and +1 from PBS, +1 damage from magic weapon and +1 from PBS

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

DM Tarren:
Linguistics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

DM Tarren wrote:
Ixius, I guess those are your attacks for next round?

Yes

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

+1 to both attack and damage if within 30 ft.

Ixius sees the runes.

"Oh damn! Don't look at it!"

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius enchants his bow (using a standard action) and takes two shots at the girallon in the next round.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

It sounds like we are on the bridge and Sykala is down below with the bodies and the survivor. I assume the girallon is down there too.

Ixius draws his bow and looks for the girallon.

Assuming we are in rounds, or will be shortly, Initiative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius half heartedly helps Korian and Ovirid look for traps.

"Lots of dead people down there. I wonder how these ones died?"

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius lights up Korian's mirror and raises his eyebrow when the wizard offers to take point.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius casts mage armor on himself then moves forward with Ovirid. "i'm gonna need some light."

If no one objects he makes his bow glow.

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"You gonna keep her company instead? It sounds like she used Hoffenburrow up."

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"Esteban, will you kindly fly us over to the pyramid?"

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius is ready

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"Korian didn't sink your boat, Sykala did. He wasn't even there."

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

"Sykala doesn't like him, but he has his uses. But don't be fooled, he would sell you out to the highest bidder in an instant. All he cares about is gold."

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

While they rest in the ship Ixius reminisces with Esteban about their adventures in the Mwangi jungle.

"Did you hear your old friend the Paracount is on his way here?"

(Male Human (Taldan/Osirioni) Rogue 3/Sorcerer 4)

Ixius laughs at Esteban. "You look ridiculous in those."
