Merian smiles warmly at her. "Healing is the least of the blessings the Inheritor grants, but it is among those I most treasure being able to offer." She bows her head in greeting. "I am Merian Benvalla, Swordlieutenant Second in the Shining Crusade. I grew up on a farm a few miles outside this town, and I'm home on leave." She laughs lightly. "And that's probably more than you cared to know about me. If you are still sore, I can pray to Iomedae for more curative energies...?"

Idiah smiles. She showes Merian the bruises on her arms and legs.

"I think I can use all the help I can get. Those...men I met on the road don't know how to treat a lady."

Idiah notes with dismay that, along with her armor and bloody clothes her gloves are also missing. She looks around the room to see where her gear might have been put. Then she hastily covers her left hand with her right, feeling even more awkward in the presence of an important, ranking crusader.

"Um...was I only in my shift when you found me? Because I don't remember..."

"Thank you for your, and your goddess', aid. I'm feeling much better now," Idiah tells the woman.

Idiah,

Potion of healing, 1d8+2 = 7 hps healed.

So I'm only down by 4 hp at this point

~Idiah feels much better once the potion takes effect, but she is still stiff and sore from her travel and combat. She sits up in the bed and studies the woman in the room with her.
~short hair, gruff demeanor...she must be some sort of battle-priestss.

knowledge check

~Idiah takes the vial containing the healing potion from Merien's hand and drinks it in one gulp. She can feel its warmth emanating from her stomach and traveling up and down her back. The big purple bruises and scratches fade as the magic takes effect.

"well of course your Idiah it says so on your.... You know what that's not important what's important is that you are feeling better after that nasty ambush out on the road, I am so happy to assist you, and since you are wondering I am Priapus your humble servant."

at which point I bow
" please take that meager coin and get your self refreshed and come down to the bar, they are a lively bunch down there and you look as if you could use some cheer"

whispers quietly to Idiah
** spoiler omitted **

at which point Priapus heads down stairs, with a smile

Idiah is surprised at Priapus' statement; she thinks: where would I write down...? Then the gnome presses a coin into her hand. The action is distasteful to her, bringing back too many unpleasant memories.I must be at an inn, she thinks.

"Thank you, Priapus," she says uncertainly, but he is already out the door.

Merian Benvalla wrote:
Merian hesitates, still watching the pseudodragon. After a moment, she relents. "Forgive me, madam, but you do know this man? He seems oddly unwilling to tell me his name, and I have been asked to keep an eye on you in Lady Chauntessa's absence. The blessings of Iomedae have closed the worst of your wounds, but I have a potion of healing that might do more if you need it."

Idiah's sluggish mind works hard to take in everything the woman is telling her. Madam? When had anyone ever called her that? Lady Chauntessa must be the woman whose voice she heard before. But this lady seems to be saying she, or her goddess, helped heal her. She looks up at the woman and feels her back ache as she moves to a more comfortable position.

"I, I don't know his name, but the gnome," she glances at him before looking back at the woman, "saved my life. I was hurt on the road and he brought me here. I...I think I would have bled to death. Where am I?"

Still feeling a twinge in her back, she adds, "can I have that healing potion you mentioned?"

Sharoth, how injured am I? Am I healed up and Merian should save the potion for later, or should I take it?

(Female Human Fighter 1)

know(pseudodragon)

"Gnome...you saved my life," she says to the gnome. She notices his colorful clothes and bright eyes. "I am Idiah. What is your name?"

(Female Human Fighter 1)

~Idiah strokes the scales of the creature, and thinks about the state of her own scale mail.

It will have to be repaired.

"Hmmph," she mumbles. The gnome is right next to her now and she wonders if she should say anything since he looks like he is starting to get upset.
He's smilng at her.

(Female Human Fighter 1)

The sound of arguing reaches her ears and Idiah wakes up. The pain in her back seems to be greatly diminished. She turns her head and tries to focus on what is happening.

She is in a bedroom, and a gnome and a woman...a different woman than before? are arguing. There is also some kind of dragon-lizard purring in the gnome's arms.

would I know what a psudodragon is, or should I roll a knowledge check?

(Female Human Fighter 1)

Idiah listens to the comforting voice telling her to sleep. A dim memory from her past wells up: her mother's voice, long ago...she pushes the memory back into its darkness and lets her mind go blank as she falls into a deep sleep.

(Female Human Fighter 1)

Idiah's eyes slowly open. The world looks fuzzy and indistinct, and very close to her face. She knows she is lying on her stomach, but all she can feel is a sharp pain that goes right through her back.

Singing...last thing I remember...someone singing...someone small...and he, he helped me up; and then we were at a wall, and there were guards. A town...and then a woman's voice? she thinks, before she closes her eyes and lets her thoughts drift with the pain.

(Female Human Fighter 1)

Is there a set time when we should post tomorrow? I'm on Pacific time so I have to do the maths in my head.

(Female Human Fighter 1)

At first glance: Idiah is a tall woman, about 5.5 in her stocking feet. She certainly isn't petite, but her full figure is pure muscle, not fat. You can hear her boistrous laugh from across a crowded tavern. She has a tan complexion and curly black hair that she wears pulled back in a loose knott, and a smiling face that seems to promise mischief. In town she wears a plain blouse and faded patchwork skirt with flounces that resemble those worn by Varisian women. She doesn't wear her armor in town unless she knows there will be trouble, but there is always a small hand axe holstered to her wide belt. On the road she wears scale mail she keeps in good repair and has two flails holstered to her belt, as well as a bow strapped across her back and a quiver of arrows at her hip. All her gear looks worn but well cared for.

On a closer look: The flails have certainly seen use; there are flecks on them that may be rust, if you are unimaginative. Although Idiah's mouth may be smiling there are deep creases around her lips that aren't laugh lines. Her eyes may be twinkling, but they shift constantly, on alert, and the darkness beneath them isn't just from Katapeshi eye-liner. When she's nervous she rubs her left hand; oddly, she wears tan leather gloves both indoors and outdoors...you're not sure, but the ring finger of the left glove looks empty.
Idiah is quick to talk about any subject except her own past, but if someone mentions Isger she will listen intently to rumors and recent news.

Thanks, I fixed that. My description will be following soon.

Waith, I thought Chelaxians worshipped devils?

Quasit matter to me who you pray to?

(Female Human Fighter 1)

I added the extra feat. I picked Alertness, so that ups my Spot and Listen to +3. You can never be too careful.
Sharoth, were you going to e-mail me that list of Second Darkness traits?

(Female Human Fighter 1)

Google docs? Hmm...haven't used those before. I think I'll just stick with the Paizo profile for now and figure that out later.
I added a backstory on Idiah's profile page. You can look it over and see if it meshes with the other backstories. If it doesn't I can change it. I figured the most important part was having some sort of connection to Molthune but I kept the connection a bit vague so Sharoth can decide what fits best.

(Female Human Fighter 1)

I like the idea of a bard, too. This is shaping up to be a very interesting party. I've finished my fighter's stats after much editing, to send to Sharoth. You can see them in Idiah's profile.

(Female Human Fighter 1)

This is my character name and avatar I'm trying out for the PbP. Jason (or anyone), how do you get a homepage for your character stats?
