I'm not crazy happy as my players are with the added +2... But it certainly balances out the big difference with Powerful races. I can't stand goliaths!!! love'em but honestly all their abilities are quite beyond the +1 LA but not good enough to get a LA+2. So I think all in all the best way is not to modify all the races with LAs but to increase a bit the power of core classes.

Still the human remains the underdog!!! power to the humans!!!

I don't know how "rude" is some of the pleople who "defend" 4e, but here at Paizo you will find many many followers of 3.xE. The adventures and rules are still pretty attached to 3.5 and many of us are looking foward to evolve to 3.x next year, and hopfully that will be a kind of a 4e that we can feel more related to it and easier to embrace. Pathfinder aventures and stuff are great from my point of view and honestly I think they are more concerned on quality RPGs than anything else.

So, welcome home!

I'm pro-Monte, his rule-desigining skills are quite good. The new ideas he brought on Arcana Unearthed are quite good, specially the "generic" magic system to avoid. Sign him in!

Hola Mauricio

Yo recibo todo lo de pathfinder en GDL. Toma por lo menos un mes pero llega. Te recomiendo que lo pidas por el correo más rápido; es el más seguro que te llegue.

My group got almost TPK'ed with the grell as well... but a perfect-timed critical with a 2d6 psionic power saved the group. It was down to a 2nd lvl Wilder and a Swordsage (with 1hp left). Fortunately the Wilder was the ranged attacker, all other party members were quite foolish to insist on going in melee with the grell.

Quite an encounter

Hi there!

I'm fishing for Mexican players devoted to Paizo games and stuff. Are there anyone out there? I live in Guadalajara and would like to find other "Paizonians" to share experiences and games and maybe set up a gaming groups specifically for APs.

Also to see if there's a way to bring the Pathfinder society to Mex-Guadalajara.

Join up!

My game group of 6 (regular at least)has 2 women in it. My wife and my brother's wife. I must say that in the group, my brother's wife if the one "with the pants" and usually leads the group on the "subtle manipulative" way women and DMs are so familiar with... And my wife is always the quite one in the background always ready to jump and save the party from a TPK with her "mighty-yet-discreet" PCs. So, the women in my group are the ones leading the party in the end, and believe me, they are not afraid or humbled by wearing the long-but-fashioned cloak or the chain-mail bikini, and WOE to the PC or NPC who dares to make sarcastic or demeaning remarks on their outfits... I don't want to think where will their staves or swords swill end up (literally "up")!

Good idea. The metamagic feats add really good option but personally, I feel that are very much limited by "previous preparations". I like better the MC system of ladden magic as well. So these feat might get it closer to it.

I'll buy both and the CS of course

When WoTC reprnts its own material at least 3 times (artwork included) and its payroll requires a serious sells boost.

I wish I had a FLGS's at my city... heck, I wish I had a LGS at all...

I'm all about loyalty and support and if I had a LGS I would definitely buy Paizo's stuff there, and no wonder why retailers aren't too happy at Paizo for selling directly to customers, its difficult to compete against online stores. Yet I think that LGSs offer its not only on products, but also (and mainly) in service. Since nowadays you can get lots of stuff through the web, many stores now function as "window-shopping" to see the actual product in your hands. I used to do this back when I had LGS and ordered the books from Amazon... Cheap shot but the customer service was quite lousy and I was not going to support a store who wouldn't care for its customers. SO in the end I think its all about customer service. Your LGS will handle its business as they see profitable, but they still have to see to their customer service as one of the top priorities. If the store is "friendly" then they might get away with a little complaining from behind the counter without getting a "bad service" image, if not so friendly, they better keep quite not to scare customers away.

Support your local game store! There are people who wish they had one... even a lousy one. Thank gosh for the online shopping!

Thanks Hugo! The release date is pushed back sadly, thanks to some personal life crises (my parents both fell very ill and were hospitalized around the same time).

It will be a July release now! So sorry about this delay...but it does mean you'll get some more Indulgences!

Please give our best wishes to your parents, Nick. We hope they are on the mend now and that all will be well!

I second the Dalesman. Our best wishes to your parents and looking foward for those Indulgences

Looks like this is the best place to contact Nicolas... I bought this Indulgences out of curiosity and I must say its been some of my best investments in RPG! Congratulations Mr. Nicolas on your Razor Coast!!! I can't wait to get the Dark Vista, I already wrote 2 times about the release date to the website and had no answer yet... But hey, the month's coming to its end, so how far can it be. Again, great work!

When I saw that PF was staying with 3.X rules I couldn't be happier. When I started seeing the changes in the alpha version I was as exited as when I first read through D&D 3rd Ed. And no matter the way the final PFRPG end up I'll be sticking to it. I'll take what I like, and change to my own way the rules I don't like. As simple as that.
My position based on a simple value: Loyalty. I had a blast through all 3.5 since I saw much more rules material than ever (me being a DM who enjoys rules), and my players got a real good time also with the amazing variety. But in time things started to turn into an endless reprinted rampage, where even the artwork was cought on it... Pretty dissapointing... And a blame WoTC MKT for it.
I don't know the story behind WoTC placing Dungeon and Dragon mags in the hands of Paizo, but I thing that was one of the best things to happen to the RPG indutry, since I noticed the true care Paizo put into the Magazines. They tried and re-developed the magazines several ways to improve and satisfy the customers, taking hints from the mail and improving the rough edges, something WoTC did not do. In the end the magazines were at its best and it was quite shocking to see them pried out of Paizo's hands... Again, one of the best things to ever happen to the RPG industry, since it took a turn for the best!.
And now as D&D becomes even more a MKT tool, willing to throw away lots of publications on the sake of more money (and more reprinting); Paizo remains true to what brought it into this position: loyalty to the game and its gamers.
As long as Paizo continues to publish original high-quality material (no re-printing please!) and remains true to the game and gamers, they will have my loyalty (and money). Making the rules work for me is MY job. Thanks Paizo! -Pardon the lousy english-

I hope this guide is released on june.... I can't bear the thought of not getting any chronicles in a month... Your Pathfinder material keeps getting better by the issue! A mis jugadores en Mexico les encanta!

Who is Christine and why everybody congratulates her? care to explain?

Cheliax (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Will this gazetteer repeat the content in the Pathfinder adventure paths? I love all the Pathfinder stuff but not as much as to pay for reprinted material... Keep up the great work!
