*goes print cardboard minis and A3 poster maps with Snorter's donation*
YAY! I managed to get into every seminar I wantz, even thou I did not sign up for anything until now :D
Is it me or most seminars have VERY few attendees?
I do recommend the underground tour. real funny tour guide :)
Is there a time table for this? I may be arriving around 12-1 pm on thursday
BTW, did we ever mentioned that Elaine Cunningham wrote a piece of Channa Ti fiction for Wayfinder 3...? :D
Wayfinder update:
Graphic design is almost done. Crystal redesigned the 'zine to give it a fresh new look worthy of Absalom's awesomeness.
Including all articles took the 'zine abode 100 pages... so we have to release the kobolds and have them separate some articles to make the 'zine printable and on a healthy 84 page count.
On the bright side, the PDF 'zine will be around 110 pages, soooo... you still have lots to see on the PDF even if you have your printed copy! :)
The print costs are around 80% covered, so we are 100% sure to make it to the press. Thank you all and if you are still willing to chip in, we will really appreciate it!
Good luck Patrick!
I tought the "offense" was the "get a grip"... I'm a darn proud paizonian "fanboy!" :D
I trade you a... wait... I got nothing!
darn time zones.... apparently this one is NOT my best PaizoCon for scheduling...
*bangs head against the wall*

I find Seelah's breast plate most...hypnotic... @_@
Thanx you very much guys!
BTW, I just got some maps from Jonathan Roberts (Kobold Quarterly) and we have a couple more from Tarren Dei and Lilith, so, you can expect plenty of cartoraphic awesomeness in this issue! :)
I'm dizzy...
Kobold Cleaver wrote: Or just buy out Paizo. We haven't got that much money yet :P
Liz started receiving the donation and now it has passed to me since the first printing payment is quite close.
The paypal account is:
Please include your full name, shipping address and screen name to list you on the 'zine "Special Thanks" section.
Thanks in advance!
Callous Jack wrote: And if anyone notices Hugo driving a new car, don't ask too many questions... Shhhhhh...! You'll get Vic to kick me out of the boards for good!

Joe Wells wrote: Hugo Solis wrote: And on the printing side, we are around 75%+ of the printing cost About how many dollars short are you, Hugo (Lilith, anyone else)? Why try not to make this kind of details public so that no one finds out we are making ourselves filthy rich at the expense of Wayfinder (mwahahaha)
Any amount for donations works for us, be it $5, $20 or a fabulous $100!
We are pretty close to cover all the necessary cost. When we cover the 100%, we let everyone know in here to close the donations and thank everyone, but if someone still wants to chip in, we will use the extra to print the paper minis and to ship the 'zines by UPS and spare me some of the 100 pounds lifting at the airpors :P.
As I mentioned, all donors get a copy of the printed 'zine (if they don't attend to paizocon), but this time we will need your help for the shipping costs. I believe this would be around $3 in the US by USPS. We'll email you about this when we get. If cost are covered, we may use part of your donation to pay for each one's shipping. We'll let you know.
Thanks guys!

Looking forward to meet Mr Shiny!!! I'll bring my sunglasses :P
Moar artsy previews!
Kobold caravan master
And on the printing side, we are around 75%+ of the printing cost, so if you please could help us raise a bit more cash we would REALLY appreciated it!
Post a "donate for wayfinder" on your frequent threads, poke a friend for it, or steal from a kobold's treasure (thou stay away from the mighty kobold's one!) and support your favorite Pathfinder fanzine -which I hope is this one ;)
Remember, all donors get a copy of the printed issue, which will be miled after the Con. If we get enough $, printed paper minis for Absalom will be included too! :D
Thank you all!

Digitalelf wrote: I would agree with this, but the moment one starts taking money (even for a "hobby"), then one has elevated that "hobby" above one's commitment to friends and family. That's most true too! I was thinking on non-contractual commissions, which in a way are a bit more "hobby-like". Of course if you take people's money, then you have a huge commitment there , just as important as family and dayjob.
My point here is that if you get into this kind of problems, the most important thing is not to ignore them. In my case (which is almost as bad as Nick's), I try to keep mailing them and let them know the schedules as often as possible without having the to contact me. So far, it has worked fine, but still is a situation one must avoid at all costs.
So, all in all, no justification in such delays, but "damage control" must be REAL GOOD if you want to keep it up.
And that's why I need a lawyer before even hoping to get into publishing...yikes!
In a small way, I kinda understand Nick and his epic delays, for I'm delayed by close to a year with illos commission and believe me, I'm not fooling around and its in my best interest to fulfill these commissions.
Sometimes life just does not let you move on with the "hobby" and I'm sure this goes for 98% of us, Family and dayjob comes before the hobby, even when the hobby is as important as this.
The one thing I don't agree with this situation is Nick's long absences... A constant communication is extremely important, even if its to repeat the same things over and over... Well, that's what I think...
Anyways, I just hope tha RC does not take another year to arrive
Wow, what evebnt is this? where do I sign up?
Can I get me a print copy at PaizoCon?
Imperial Gazetteer too?
I loved that story, that's why that's one of the pics beign pre-released.
I must say there are several stories in this issue that I found real thrilling! Lots of city intrigue :D

COunt me in! I haven't bought the plane ticket but that's the only thing left in preparations!
that's a great side job!
Oh, I do B&W because that's what is requested from me, and honestly, I think B&W is my "strong" side, since I'm too far away from color decently for a publication the size of Open Design... I still need lots of prectice!
Que descanse en paz...

Check it out, at least to see how the sketch looks like ;P Hey! DIBS on that dwarven explorer and the aboleth, my man! I'll save those up Brandon! ;)
Oh, and speaking of fund raising, I'm putting all my originals from Sunken Empires (and some other KQ products) and some from Rite Publishing in here
Check it out, at least to see how the sketch looks like ;P
Still waiting to clear those darn deadlines... But tomorrow is the art deadline! So.....
Starting tomorrow I'll publish a few teaser pieces of the art and start ringing the tin cup to complete the print cost of Wayfinder.
We have reached around 70% of the printing cost and we still have around a month to search on drago hoards, kobold lairs and under the rocks for funds and afterwards go though our own pockets :)
Hopefully this year's issue will include a cardbard set of minis and maybe -just maybe- if we collect enough funds, a color centerfold map.
So, get ready to get annoyed by the fundraiser frog in the coming weeks! :)

And, if it makes you feel any better, there wasn't any mention of the guy that actually wrote the darn thing, either. =-)
But really, folks -this book is really something else, and I'm not sure we left a single shore-stone or seashell uncovered in our quest for the penultimate guide to lost seaside civilizations.
-B. Psht! Writing! Nobody cares about the writing. If you'd wanted to be appreciated and notice, you should have joined the faceless production underclass :) That's totally true... it seems like the writter does ALL the work... designers, cartographers and illustrators seem to be there just to add to the writter's awesomeness.... pffff... ;P
Superb work Crystal!
Hey guys, I'm trying to raise funds for Wayfinder 3 and my PaizoCon trip and I'm putting all my originals from Sunken Empires (and some other KQ products) in here

Too bad your wife's isn't goig thou

Haven't bought my plane ticket but its 95% sure I'll be there, so count me in in the mean time.
And the Dim SUm

Anyone seen Tarren...? I need to contact him and the email I have does not work :shakefist:
