Background:
Hobart was left on the steps of a temple of Pharasma as a babe. Whether because of him being a Half-Orc or the Comet Birthmark on his left palm he will always wonder. The clergy didn't mind either way. They soon found themselves enjoying raising Hobart up in the temple. He always had a curious nature, and enjoyed hearing tales of the tenants of the faith. Always questioning the whats and whys of the stories. By the time he could read and write he was devouring books at a healthy rate. When he was old enough he took to aiding those priests who would go out and deal with the undead. He happily helped the healers care for the injured or sick. When he received the call to serve The Lady of Graves it was a happy day for Hobart. He didn't follow the usual path the acolytes did though. He insisted Pharasma had another way for him to walk. Thus started his wandering days of hunting down undead, and those wretches that created them. incarceration:
It was a dark day nearly sixteen months ago that led to Hobart being in prison. He was in the countryside near Zimar when a nervous looking man came to him while he was having his supper in a public house. It seemed the Groomsman was a servant of a nearby gentry estate. He explained how one of the families recently buried relatives had begun to be a little too active. Old uncle Olaf had already killed a sheep, and the groomsman was worried about the stables. He had gone to the family, but they insisted that it was only a wolf. They would not believe their august uncle had risen from the grave. Having heard of Hobart's prowess of dispatching undead menaces he had sought him out. Hobart was happy to oblige especially since the family seemed unworried about their livestock's safety, much less there servants. He dispatched Olaf with little trouble actually, but it did cause a bit of a ruckus with all the moaning and goings on. The Patriarch Lord Yuri Palfrey was outraged claiming that Hobart was defacing poor Olaf's body, desecrating his grave, and robbing the grave for nefarious purpose. Being a Servant of Pharasma nothing more could outrage Hobart; That was till he was quickly taken into custody, then Railroaded into prison. The local magistrate a long time family friend easily ignored the evidence not wanting to see the Palfrey name besmirched with rumor of undead relations. It was all so unseemly the magistrate privately tried to console Hobart. Now it was time to escape his bondage, and thus Taldor as well. traits & Feats:
