Indeed, many of the posters on this page have referred to them (stuff like the saves mechanic, or the minions rules, or the healing surges or the wands-as-implements), making me wonder who, exactly, you are talking about. Lacking enough people saying the stuff you want to reply to, have you found it necessary to have an edition war with yourself? Like many PF players, there are 4e rules I like, and 3.5/PF rules I don't, but, for the most part, PF better suits my tastes, which I don't consider more or less valid than yours. They got their own darned plane! Dice! Dice have their own plane! That's one thing that no one can deny Texas does better than any other state: teaching its citizens to loudly change any subject you'd care to name into a discussion on how much better their state is than yours. Kirth perhaps you missed: meatrace wrote:

So when people stand up against inaccuracies and ignorance it is all about screaming loud, and changing a subject which had already been changed by others, now?? LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!! Oh, wait a minute. You were serious? I haven't looked at this thread for 5 days and there are 1000+ posts to read! I'm not sure when i'll get to that so a big Happy Mother's Day to everybody! On a personal note, I finally got a job this past week although it's a temp position but hopefully it will turn into a something more. Worst case scenario is that it will look really good on my resume when I look again. We'll see... My players had an insane idea: running Kingmaker around a group with a Master of the House mentality. I'm very curious about how much of a lovely trainwreck it would be.... "Oh that was truly charming you toad faced geniuses. I can finally put an explanation to that distinctive goblin stench. One part piss, two parts living among piles of your own s~$*." Currently nauseated so...

It was a new Dark Tower story, technically taking place between books 4 & 5. The usual crew gets stuck in a storm, hunker down to wait it out, and the lead character tells a story from his past. Cool thing was - during the story he's telling, his past self also tells a story. So those two stories make up the majority of the book. It flows really well, and was very entertaining. Edit: and it had the Man In Black as one villain (at his douchiest) and a shape changing skin man as the other villain. Spanky the Leprechaun wrote:
Hehe I had to have a good laugh at that one tonight. It reminded me of a 1st edition game years ago where our new 1st level group braved the proverbial dungeon ruins, and one of the new players was a 1st level wizard. He used up his single Magic Missile in the first fight, then foolishly rushed a carrion crawler with his four hit points and dagger and nearly got eaten for his effort. He ended up being saved by the fighter but scolded for his lack of understanding his own squishiness. On the very next fight the wizard found a chair and sat down to read his spellbook while the party fought - hilarious and awful all at the same time. Needless to say the new player didn't stick it out with the wizard - I think we talked him into the wonders of a demi-human multi-class :) My attitude is that if I'm going to allow pirates with tricorne hats, their ships need to have cannons, and if they can have cannons on their ships, they can have a brace of pistols in their belts. It's a matter of setting the century and looking at the technology. Certainly bullets can bypass plate armor, but so can crossbows, and yet you see lots of paladins clanking around in full plate while there are rogues with crossbows in the same party. If I can stand that sort of anachronism, I can stand the anachronism of plate armor in the age of bullets, especially if enchantments could make it the equivalent of kevlar vests. Plus, it should also be noted, there is plenty of historic magic from the age of bullets, stuff like inscribing bullets with the target's name, silver bullets for werewolves, etc. If you've got werewolves running around, it doesn't ruin the fantasy to be shooting them with silver bullets, and if your flesh golems are based on Universal's take on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein? What century are you operating in again? It's certainly one with bullets and guns. If we can backdate firmly 19th century flesh golems into our medieval fantasy without ruining it, we can also backdate 19th century guns. We've concluded that tornadoes have something serious against mobile homes. There was a tornado a few years ago that hit a mobile home manufacturing plant. We figured it decided to hit the nest before they could mature and move out into the real world. ;-) Happy and Blessed Easter, all! Be safe and I hope you have time to have time with family.

When 3.5 first came out I really disliked it because people stopped making noncompatible products. The ogl made everyone convert to the d20 system.3.5 wasnt bad far from the worst system I ever played but some settings(wod, earthdawn)dont work well with d20.Then Pathfinder came along and fixed everything i hated about 3.5.If wotc hasbro hadnt made 4th edition paizo likely wouldnt have made their own game.So I would like to thank you WOTC for your accidental creation of my all time favorite rpg. Beldan creeps-five foot steps back from the mudnoid to R77, and lets fly with his crossbow, rapid re-loading like a pimped up Inevitable. Haste, inspire, deadly aim and point blank shot all factored in to the attacks with the shocking burst crossbow:
So 132 damage if they all hit and it doesn’t have any resistances or immunities. I did not see a Congratulation post so adding one. Congrats Adam Daigle with your new job at Paizo! Now I will have an excuse on why I only see you at Conventions..;)

Primal magic flares constantly from these minute humanoids, and the whispered pulse of their music drives mortals to acts of passionate madness. Courtiers in the First World’s Hanging Bower, Sidhe Lords are otherworldly poet-knights, armored in iridescent dragonfly-scale, skilled with lance and lute and illusion. Adventurous Sidhe Lords often venture through breaches into the Material Plane, driven by curiosity and the unrequited love they bear for the Green Mother. They guard sacred groves in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings, or protect those druids powerful enough to summon them. Sidhe Lords are prideful as oak and impetuous as fire; the slightest perceived insult is swiftly answered by deadly charges on conjured phantasmal steeds. In more playful moods they shoot intoxicating thorns and use spell-like abilities to mock those they see as unworthy of real combat. When questing in the Material Plane, accompanied by enslaved pixies or other lesser fey, Sidhe Lords seek diversion from their immortal life. Beings of primal emotion, lust and anger burn hot in their mercurial hearts. Toying effortlessly with mortal minds, they drive simple folk to dramatic arguments and ardent trysts. They orchestrate cruel betrayals acted out by charmed victims, with no regard for the mortal lives they ruin. Violent passions rule where a Sidhe Lord walks, bright and beautiful and deadly in their careless power.
