About Hanethes Starsprings
Personality Hanethes is bright, but strongly passionate about freedom. Freedom from slavery. Freedom from drudgery. And perhaps most of all, freedom from tyranny. He favors justice, but not the justice of law, which he sees as more harmful than good. Anarchist, Libertarian, or Libertine? Few can decide, but Hanethes is in favor of organizations and governments that seem to favor individual freedom, prosperity, and happiness. Among other things, the half elf just wants to have fun, and is quick to challenge others who would try to take it from him.
Background Although he has been in the City of Katapesh for some time, he is not native. He originally hails from Absalom, where he serves as one of the Fire Watchers at Cayden's Hall. A generous title given to just about anyone who doesn't get smashing drunk every time they come in. Here, he's been intricately involved with the slave trade resistance movement of the Starstone Brewers, and several orphanages that have accepted freed children slaves. He organized several trips to Katapesh to interfere in the slave trade that originated there, and has thus far been a thorn in the side of the Katapeshians who want to keep their illgotten slaves.

Bleeding Attack (Ex) Opponents damaged by Hanethes' sneak attack continue to bleed from the attack, 1 hit point each round equal to the rogue's sneak attack dice value. The bleeding can be stopped by a DC 15 heal check or by any effect that heals hit point damage.
Combat Expertise (Feat) Hanethes can take -2 penalty on melee attacks and combat maneuvers to gain a +2 dodge bonus to Armor Class.
Evasion (Ex) If Hanethes makes a successful Reflex save for an attack that would half damage on a successful save, Hanethes instead receives no damage.
Firearm Training (Ex) Hanethes has Exotic Weapon Proficiency (firearms).
Gunsmithing (Feat) Hanethes can craft firearms, ammunition, alchemical cartridges, black powder, and can repair damaged firearms.
Improved Feint (Feat) Hanethes can make a bluff check to feint as a move action.
Improved Uncanny Dodge Hanethes cannot be flanked except by creatures with 4 more HD than he has.
Resiliency (Ex) Once per day, Hanethes gains 8 temporary hitpoints if he falls below 0, to prevent him from dying. Temporary hitpoints last for 1 minute. If his hitpoints drop below 0 again, he falls unconscious and begins dying.
Sneak Attack (Ex) Hanethes deals 4d6 precision damage when his target is denied a Dexterity bonus to AC. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet.
Sociable (Feat) As a move action, Hanethes grants all friendly creatures within 30 feet who can see or hear him (including himself) a +2 bonus on Diplomacy checks for a number of rounds equal to his Charisma modifier.
Trapfinding (Ex) Hanethes adds 8/2 his level to Perception skill checks made to locate traps and to Disable Device skill checks. He can also use disable device skill to disarm magical traps.
Trap Sense (Ex) Hanethes has a +2 reflex bonus to saves against traps, and a +2 dodge bonus to AC against attacks made by traps.
Uncanny Dodge (Ex) Hanethes cannot be caught flat-footed and retains his Dex bonus to AC if the attacker is invisible.
Weapon Finesse (Feat) With a light weapon or finesse weapon, Hanethes applies his Dexterity modifier instead of Strength modifier for attacks. If he carries a shield, its armor penalty applies to attack rolls.
