Male Dwarf Cleric 8
"That is exactly why I was trying to destroy it earlier my dear. No one else was assisting and I am not sure I even did anything at all to it. I think we should go back and destroy it before going any further. However, as that seems to be an opinion shared only by me then I say we simply head forward and explore the rest of this place. Whether we go through these staves or around them makes little difference. One death trap or another is all the same to me". I think right now beetle it is a discussion. Gandel will go forward and Hal is willing to go forward. However, I don't want to lead the group in one direction without everyone agreeing on going that way. That's Karek and Hurgah's job! :-)

Xaven had his hand on that poison knife and was holding it to his own breast while we were still walking. If he was not, he would have denied it when Hal accused him of doing it. Hal is in fact still steamed about it and would love to chase after those two but if even Karek and Breach are against him he is going to hang back. He is the youngest of the three dwarves and in all matters but ones which pertain to Angradd, he will defer to them which is what he just did.
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
"I don't bear him any ill will and he seems unable to comprehend my point. Fine we will leave them. I can only do my best". Hal utters a silent prayer to Angradd that he at least will be able to fulfill his mission. "Let us investigate the rest of this wretched place then". They certainly will have some left I bet Karek.
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
"Yes Xaven and Hrokon. We are getting out of this together. We have a Pact like it or not and you can't outrun it!!" Angradd's fires shroud Hal like a halo. The fire licks his hair and his beard but burns not one cinder, Angradd's favor is upon Halstadt. Hal extinguishes the Wall of Fire and with the Wall gone, the fiery halo surrounding Hal vanishes.
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
Hal strides at and through the Wall of Fire wielding his axe ready for a confrontation. "Now. NO MORE FOOLISHNESS! Retain whatever weapon you want but you will NOT hold a poison dagger or any other poison weapon to my heart for the remainder of our alliance!" he screams at Xaven ignoring Hrokon. Hal has immunity to fire 10, any extra damage he takes he will revel in as fire will harden his will.
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
I want it 10', this way they won't feel that they HAVE to flee from it to escape being burned alive. I was going to save that for a rainy day but Hal is starting to lose his rational focus. To him, his holy mission is being held at knifepoint by a Halfling who Hal gave his word to numerous times he would not harm. The Halflings actions essentially shout out at Hal, 'your word is no good!' If Hal's word is not enough then he MUST bring the Halfling into line through the use of force. Remember, Angradd is not the God of flowers and sunshine. Plus, even though the wall of fire is a big gun in general, it is a peashooter when directed at the main villain, Suekhan, so why not use it?
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
I think Donkor would step in but what he would do I could not say. "No Karek! He cannot be allowed to hold us hostage, if he poisons himself we ALL die! If the Demon gets him, we all die! I will not abide by it! Angradd, smite these villains, show them the purity of your flames!!!" Hal has an absolute wild look in his eyes as he screams. Hal drops a Wall of Fire, circling their position with the heat waves facing inward. Hal purposely gave Hrokon limited healing earlier sensing that they would try something like this. Wall of Fire Damage 2d4 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
I am not sure I 100% agree with that statement Beetle but I do want to see if Karek gives chase. If he does not Hal might lay the smackdown Angradd style on those two bozos... No way Hal let's that Halfling hold a poison dagger over his heart. That is also part of the reason hal wants to destroy the Pact Stone, he wants no part of that Pact! Gandel has a more moderate view and frankly just wants to get out of this alive, hopefully with a priceless artifact to bring back to the Pathfinder Society! He could really care less about Suekhan, he has been in here for centuries, Gandel is content for the Demon to stay here for just as long moving forward. I am not sure that is the position Max would have taken while he was playing Gandel, but that is how I see it. Another point, Donkor may well want to do something here, he has bad blood with these two from the past...
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
"Threaten you? You are the one ready to fill yourself full of poison at the drop of a hat. You are threatening us with that type of activity. I already told you that you deal fairly with us we will deal fairly with you. Yet you decide to keep the potions hidden from us? Perhaps we define fair dealing differently in our cultures!!"
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
Hal frowns, "It is the rate for filling up empty vials of potion that you did not have to produce or pay for Xaven. Remember you chose to not take compensation. Now, hand over that poison dagger, I don't think we can trust that you won't do something stupid with it, like kill yourself unnecessarily!"
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
Hal will sigh and replace his axe in the loop through his bely seeing that his desires have been rebuffed by the party. He will then reach into his Handy Haversack and hand Xaven 100 gold coins. "There, now we are no longer robbing you". Hal looks to Donkor and Moonpate, "Do we have any spells available that can keep prying eyes and ears away from us?"
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
"Better for us to have those potions now Xaven, we don't want to be doling out potions in a line if we are in a hurry to flee. I don't think we go anywhere but right here. We destroy this stone which could lead to the ruin of the world at large if it falls into the wrong hands. Imagine hordes of Orcs or Demons utilizing this magic? The consequences would be disastrous".
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
It appears my post was eaten... Hal shifts to get Xaven in his sight, "Calm down Halfling! Don't you dare stab yourself like some fool. You should have let on what you knew instead of trying to play us false! I will pay Hrokon for the potions on behalf of all of us if you agree to stop your mad threats! Besides no one has laid a hand on him."
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
"OUT!? No, we have a mission here and we are going to finish it. The Demon must be slain and it has become quite clear that this pactstone must not fall into the wrong hands". Hal turns to look at the room which contains the white stone and hefts his axe. He heads back into the room and swings his axe at the floor to see what sort of damage he can do...
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
"Master Moonpate is correct Xaven. Your suggestions are welcome but you nor your Half-Orc ally are in control here. Deal fairly with us and we will deal fairly with you. Now, time runs short. We must find a way to draw our foe out before the Khyrasma sends in more fodder for his bloody count".
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
No, forgot where I was I am content to stay where I am. I do not wish to spend any more spells attacking Scepter. I will maintain my position next to Moonpate holding my axe ready to protect him if necessary. So essentially I am holding but looking out for danger which seems to be all around us in this place!
Male Dwarf Cleric 8
Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 Of course I get a good roll here... Hal comes off of delay. He pulls himself right up to Xaven and Hroken. "You two damn fools whisper louder than a dwarven wedding party. On my honor no harm will come to you from us if you attempt to bring us no harm".
