thanks for the info on 4 & 5, I'd hate to have a shipment with 3 GM modules & 2 Pathfinders ($$$$ mainly all at once) also thanks for doing the new option, would hate just to have 1 book come & have shipping tacked onto that just 1 book. you guys are always looking out for the customer, that right there alone makes me want to buy your products, thanks!! RM NOTE- I'm sure you know this, but subscribing gets you the pdf copy of the book as well, nice little item to have for reference & such without having to find the book each time you want to look up something. Welcome to Pathfinder!!! Also as others have said, get the first 2 as well, even thou the 3rd has a great adventure in it, always nice to know why certain aspects are happening. If not just for the background info on Pathfinder's world of Golarian-Verisia is worth the price of the books in itself. RM overall I like the artwork in all the books, but there are some that I was like eh....ok, #1 on the list is the cultist leader in PF2, looks more like a circus or even better a rent-a-clown for a kid party. I like the fact that the books are trying different artists out thou, gives them exposure & of course more page time to hone their artwork. I for one loves the artwork that was in Dragon & Dungeon, epically the head shots in Dungeon (most of those were Andrew Huon(sp) I believe). I just hope the artwork is near or better then what was presented in those publications. Overall, the artwork doesn't deter from the adventure or the campaign materials so really to me it's not that important, thou I do like to show various NPCs off to my players, at least get them all on the same page for a NPC like Amekio, or Father Zanthus (which I use a older bearded man from a Dungeon issue to showcase him, I think he is a blacksmith in the adventure, ha ha (just had that Father/cleric look to him))& while Sheriff Hemlock's pic in the player's guide isn't bad I chose to use Grant Gould's head shot of him instead. I guess it more or less finding what works for you & going with it. I know for a fact I will be finding something different for ole Clown-elf when he comes into play, LOL. Ben Wootten, if you read this--just wanted to say great run in Savage Tide, looking forward to more of your artwork in Pathfinder & beyond. EDIT--just wanted to add, I did like the underwear lineup, the style of the artwork was ok, but I liked the fact that it shows the races uninhibited of armor or weapons, shows you the races for what they are. I for one like the Pathfinder take on the races, can't wait to read about what their take is on the other traditional stuff in D&D (orcs, giants, dragons, etc, etc) best pic of a tiefling is the one out of the old 2nd Planescape monster manual by Tony DeT(I know I'll butcher the spelling but the guy who put Planescape artwork on the map & now part-creator of the Spiderwick stuff!!!) RM been awile since I've look upon this thread nice artwork on Amekio, Grant, but I must be the only person that actually likes the way Amekio is presented in the book, ha ha!! My players don't mind the pic either, one has taken a liking to her already. I picture Amekio as a rebellious type & that picture fits her well, your's is good too thou, more or less a conservative type. Anyone--still looking for a Nualia pic thou, the one in the book is ok but I'd like to see what anyone can do thou, the pic to me just doesn't measure up to her celestial beauty as described, thou the hand & the scars are represented well thou. great stuff, guys
well, when I get the pdf, I skim the sections to see what I got coming (only use the pdf as reference later on in gameplay). After I get the book I usually flip through it again (gotta love the feeling in a book!!) & then when I actually start reading I usually read the foreward & then the background stuff first, after that usually skim the adventure, but I save that part for last usually. Haven't read much of the journals thou, maybe a section here & there, but it is usually the section I don't read. Thou with the way the section has improved I may have to read all of them at once when I get the entire Rise run. RM some of the newer basic D&D modules were pretty bad (the ones where the & symbol is a red dot) there is one I recall with a minotaur with like 12 hps or something, OH BOY!! STRIKE! SPLAT down goes the minotaur! thou I will recall there was encounter with a ghoul that somehow paralyzed the entire party (just 2, rest were in town--party dispute) & I didn't want to kill off the players, cause I didn't want to roll up new ones, so I just had the ghoul steal from them & shambled off. Sad, yes but hey it was high school & with bunch of friends on a weekend. RM My daughter is big into Bella Sara, plus nice to have something for her & ole dad to have in common (I'm kinda of a card collector, was big into LOTR from Decipher, Magic, mostly LOTR movie cards now days). Found one of these at Walmart the other day, so I bought it & inside, my daughter got a a shiney Bella from the 2nd series + almost every card inside were different cards then what she has (& she has allot of 2nd series & NL packs) nice little tin & contents, I recommend it to any BS collector!! RM I play GW, as well as LOTRo as well have a few characters on GW, 1 each for each campaign, & started anther one for GW:EN (as my normal GW game is only around 12 or 13th + didn't want to use her anyways). GW is fun but it is one of those games that I play for awile then drop out for awile, then come back--nice that is doesn't have a subscrip to it. since I don't have a local group, computer rpgs is all I have for my gaming experience & I agree they will never replace the comradre of a tabletop game, but what can you do when you have no group. Be very thankful, if you have group that you get to game with, that is all I can say. RM Phanos I like that one, might use that & add a bit of sounds like Cha' or something similar. After the battle with the Rhagodessa in the hold of the Blue Nixie, the party stumbled onto a Phanaton in one of the cages. More or less to foreshadow the Isle of Dread. All the Phanaton knew was that he crosses the great water when he was chatting with the the half-elf that freed him from the cage. that is pretty damn cool!!!! seeing the Xin-Shalast part, looks a bit like oriental setting or is this just the artwork for it or a pseudo-style?? name yet for Mr Dwarf with crossbow?? (which btw love the artwork for him!!) can't wait for Monday to get here!! UPS says I have a package coming, :) (damn weekend!!!) Trent Slabaugh wrote:
post away!! Not trying to be picky of course but I hope it is more then just the Pathfinder logo on the sheet thou. RM just browsing the pdf & I must say I can't wait for the hardcopy to get here!!! (don't want to spoil to much it by reading the pdf, ha ha) (btw, my downloads were rapid fast this time around, seemed like Pf came down around the same time as GM, which is saying something with the way my isp is lately, LOL) love the chapter on Varisia (love the artwork for the races) the Bestiary has some interesting but cool critters in it. heck haven't even check out the adventure chapter yet, will do that tomorrow!! nice work guys, love seein the new Pathfinder each month (+ the new GM module EwtP looks great as well) RM I think people are confused with what I have posted as well hopefully clarrifiy this, with this post: Pathfinder #3 & Entombed with the Pharoahs yes I got confirms for this, just waiting on shipment, that doesn't bother me as I have this covered. What I'm concerned with is a) when Pathfinder #4 will ship this month (ok I just read that is suppose to be the last week of this month), which brings me to question (c). b) will there be a GM module with it , as I'm subscribed to both items (that increased the cost (doubles it almost) c) how much time there will inbetween the shipping of #4/GM? to #5/GM next month, since the issues are being released around the first of each month now. which if say Pf 4 comes out on Nov 15 let say, that would give about 2 weeks before 5/GM shipment goes out. That I can handle. More or less it boils down to funds in my account. I mean I don't want to go over & with 3 shots of around $20 being taken out, that means I'd really have to watch out for those payments. I have the funds to support subscriptions, reason why I did them in the first place, just didn't expect it more then once a month. It'll be a different story when the Chronicles sub come about, but for now I'd like a bit more info & not a "Oh btw a Paizo order is being shipped, better have funds in the account" thing. hope this clears up what I posted thanks

same, just was wondering, will there be a GM module with Pf #4 (ie the 2nd shipment this month)? I got my confirm yesterday regarding #3 & EwtP, which in all sense, Paizo can fire away & take that cash!!, ha ha, as I'm good to go with that one. I'm just more concerned with this second shipment later this month & of course the December release (since it sounds like #4 will get released & then about a week or so later, #5 & whatever GM module is released will release around Dec #1 or so, ie the normal monthly shipment) RM I hope then we get a good time telling us before the money is taken from our account this month. I love the products don't get me wrong, but I didn't expect to get hit twice a month (even if it's a one time thing (I hope)), epically with the last two months to go in the year as well (other everyday stuff). Like I said, love the product, just wasn't expecting a double shipment (does this include a GM module as well or just Pathfinder?) At least nothing coming from Wizards this month!!!!! RM actually it was posted that there would not be 2 Pfs this month. The one that came out at the top of the month is THIS month's issue/book. more or less the delay is due to everything just hit Paizo at once, with the release of Pathfinder #1, Gen Con & other things, the month off has helped them get things back in order. I for one am glad there isn't 2 issues this month (bank account couldn't take it!!! LOL) curious thou-- Paizo, when will #3 & the GM module come out next? (don't want to get caught shorthanded in the $$$$) RM as I said in anther post it is nice to see the cross reference of both materials (take Pf #2 & Gallery of Evil this month), but I could have ran the adventure (when I get to Pf #2 of course) without knowing what happens to a certain NPC in GoE) still I guess I'm a packrat when it comes to world/campaign info, so I love having as much as I can about Golarion as possible. Reminds me allot of my older rpg days, really. I will admit when 3.0 came out I bought the WOTC books & a couple other company's books mainly S&S due to the bookstore here had access to them & WOTC, but when they dried up (good term for businesses that die in my town) & I now use my card shop guy as my wizard book store, I stopped getting the other publishers, with Paizo using the other publisher's stuff, it makes me want to go out & get those books & catch up on stuff I've been missing. I've bought the Book of Fiends, & I thought about the Adv books, now I'll have to get the Bestiary book for sure now, but I'm not being forced to go get those books, I just want them to see the other stuff that is out there.
I'd love to see minis of stuff that you can't replicate pretty easy from other makers be made into minis. Iconics are nice in all & I'd love to have the 4 adventurers (btw do they have a group name?) but I'd still like to see adventure creatures. Epically of main villain types, like skinsaw man, Pathfinder #1's villain (not gonna reveal the name), etc etc. RM Lilith nice to hear from Bend, Ontario here (ughhh, ha ha) you know my first ever order from Paizo was UPS & it got here pretty quick, 2 days I think, might have a weekend in there. I might have to try UPS method for Pathfinder #3 next month, just to test the shipping like I said $$$ was worth the change, as not to wait so long for quality products RM even thou it's been said that you don't need the Gamemastery modules to run Pathfinder, the way they are tied together is great. Sendeli Foxglove, being mentioned in GofE & also P#2 is a great tie together. Looking forward, to rest of the GM modules, Pathfinders & of course the Pathfinder accessories!! changed my shipping to priority & it took only 7(also included Columbus Day Observed) days to get to me, once I got the email saying, "we're charging your card, here is your pdf, have fun with Pathfinder ##, etc etc". big change from using the 10 day or whatever that option is. I'll pay the extra just not have to wait. Being in eastern OR with Paizo to the NW of me, is one reason why I changed to priority (just couldn't see why a couple of books took that long to get here using the old ship method--dang you USPS!!!! ha ha) RM imagine that, Marvel brings back a dead character.......like that has never happened before. One reason why I stopped reading Marvel books long long ago, the hype leading up to & over a dead character, big deal he'll return next issue. About the only one that hasn't returned is like that guy in panel 4 of some deadbeat comic, that no one bought..... I like Alex Ross's artwork but ughhh on the new Cap costume, bring back the old one...... it's like the Silver Surfer merged with him (like Spidey's black costume symbiont sorta thing) & then Ross ran out of ideas for the bottom half of him...... ...for all 4 characters just curious As sometime down the road I'd like to run Falcon's Hollow & CotKK using the pregens & I'd like to take the 4 "sheets" & use give those to the players. of course as a pdf, no sense in putting it out as a hard copy. if not I guess it wouldn't be too hard to do a paste copy kinda thing, at home. RM the sketch of the toad king in the forward in Pf #2, made me go Huh?? Not a Huh, oh that sucks, but huh, ha ha ha can't wait to read what that is about. Now I've just skimmed the pdf, so I couldn't tell yah what exactly the toad king's purpose is, but it's stuff like that makes Pf a great product. I for one love the artwork in the Pf books, as long as the style is similar to what Dungeon was, I'll be happy, one thing, among many of course, I do miss about not having Dungeon to look at each month, was the artwork used for various NPCS & other stuff. Any new pieces of work, Grant? RM had to work at 5 pm on Weds (normally I work at 10 pm) & also this was a semi-turn around shift (I work graveyard so, I got off or around 8 am that morning), but when I got home at 130am or so that night/morning, read my email & I noticed I had a email from Paizo, telling me my Pthfdr & GM books were about to ship). I was like sweeeeett, excellent news, then a couple of days later I get the pdf links, I was expecting the books to come out like the 1st Pfd book, glad I had cash in my account, ha ha. Anyways, glad to see the hardcopies are on their way to me!! Thanks Paizo!! RM my group consists of male human Shoanti Fighter
simple group, but only allowed standard PH races & most of the classes out of the WOTC 3.5 books but the players went with mainly PH classes.
