just wanted to add, being a fan of Wayne Reynolds, love the concept sketch of Veleros in the issue.

issue looks good so far (only up to Wayne's interview)

RM

ha ha nice very nice!!!

thanks, will put those to use whenever my party makes it to the Hagfish

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

just read the post that GofE comes soon (week or so), so no worries!!!

awesome!!

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

I'd love something like that.

the artwork in the maps is too good to hide behind a DM's screen while the players get to see some shoddy work by the DM or a designated cartographer for the group

good idea!!

as much as I love Pathfinder, glad to hear there WON'T be 2 of them coming out this month. thank you

don't mind the delay actually, was able to get caught up on a couple things, work on my game, etc etc.

Still the wait to read what happens in #2 thou..........aghhhhhh LOL

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

sweet here I was thinking it would be later in the month too.

Does anyone know when Gallery of Evil comes out?? I have both to ship together, after waiting a bit longer then I wanted last month for just Pf #1,I changed my method of shipping as well, heck for as good as #1 was, I can pay the extra bucks for faster shipping, ha ha

can't wait!!!

very nice maps, thanks for the time & effort doing these up.

question thou, is there suppose to be 3 maps? I only see 2 uploaded?

thanks
RM

my Walmart had this in their book section, so you might want to check there as well.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

you know I totally forgot I asked that question in this post, but thanks for the responses. I had in my hand the campsite one at my game store yesterday but put it down in favor of the combat pad. I still might get the temple one when I put a order in from some minis here in a couple days, mainly cause I'd like to have one for the inside of the Sandpoint Cathedral.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

love the cover, nice!!

looking forward to what behind that cover!!!

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

maybe Elvis is the Elder Evil?? (gotta be fat Elvis of course)

after Pathfinder came out & the announcement of 4e, my WOTC book order list at my card shop (ie game store) shortened quite a bit. I have this one on my list but right now leaning toward getting rid of it.

So far really the only thing on my list is the Rules compilation & Dungeon Tiles, everything else has a big slash through it (& that was most of Wiz put out this year as far as game books)

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

HA HA HA HA HA you bought this!!!

oh wait........

LOL

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

the multi-file has grown on me, very nice to open foxit & find burnt offerings or sandpoint & just click it to open it, quick, convenient.

question thou, is there a way to download a chapter? I must have not transfered that chapter/files over from winzip, the Thassalonia (sp) chapter & I'd hate to download the entire file just for that.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

well they look they are bring back the ## module numbering again at least

I agree thou, I seriously doubt any pages will be devoted to 3.5, that would be like Microsoft devoting pages to XP for Vista install, other then to install Vista over it (ie get rid of it)

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

nice work of putting these online for use.

thanks
RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

great idea on the "gift" on succeeding. I'll have to use that one.

thanks

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

once again, James big thanks!!!

funny I read the blog all the time, but I spaced off thinkin it'd be in there (didn't see it the first time)

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

Like names of months, weeks?

that sorta thing.

thanks
RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

thanks James

thought it was that way but you never know with names

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

still debating on getting that, but thanks for the info on the datasets & such.

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

very nicely done, concider them "copied" for my game, as I like your Belor (btw is it pronounced Baylor, Bell-or or Beh-lore ????) & I really like your Shalelu

hope to see other works of characters & such on here in the near future!!

Any chance you've done Nualia, headshot at least??
RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

THANKS James!!!

that'll work perfectly!!

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

that would be mine problem with the cards, too late in the game to get the first releases & such.

they look nice, but I guess I'll just stick with the old standby.

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

janxious,

I was thinkin that myself, of lopping right were the line was, they don't look that bad about there.

nice to see a picture of that (might have to use that instead of the orginal). Thou I don't mind long ears, Shal's is a tad bit too long for me.

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

after reading the Sandpoint devil's entry a bit more the other day I noticed it supposedly has a lair in

Spoiler:
Devil's Platter
but was curious is
Spoiler:
The Pit
it's home??

Also any ideas on

Spoiler:
Shank's Wood
&
Spoiler:
Pauper's Graves
, since they are close to adventure?

note spoilers were added just in case a player of BO comes upon this post

I'm thinkin it might be Foxglove Manor

Spoiler:
due to Alderan Foxglove being mention he has a bigger role to play in #2

thanks

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

is there any info on Norah? Other then what is in Pathfinder of course, is in actual critter in a book??

pretty sure with my group mostly the fighter type, that they'll want to try themselves as well. ha ha

thanks
RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

very nice work

things like this really add visual flavor to a game

again thanks for posting

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

is rpgexplorer pretty good software for long term use??

I have the demo/trial one (up to 5th level) & I like it so far, but was curious to hear from people that have the full version.

Also what exactly does the datasets have in them? (Pathfinder stuff but what, like the weapons & stuff out of the PG pdf?)

thanks for any help on this one

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

hey just wanted to say thanks for the response on my post, that is great news to hear about those products coming down the line.

funny when I did my charter subscrip it was like way off (April maybe, around the time of the dreaded announcement of the magazines (RIP!!)), but I was like wow Aug is so far off & now it's here & the product is in my hands, so no worries on the wait, thou I still can't wait for the additional info.

again thanks guys, love the products

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

since I have no real local outlet for Paizo products (game store is like 60 miles away & right now the interstate is being worked on so for a 6-8 miles stretch it's 2 lanes), I'd love to have a deluxe subscription, as long as the subscription wasn't way overboard with costs & such, love the books & products, but if it comes down to normal everyday life stuff (like food, bills, etc etc) don't want to put myself in a bind cause of those.

but as I said, no local way of getting anything Paizo, so I'd be for it.

love more info, epically with a new world & such.

Just was overlooking Green Ronin's site last night thanks to covers of various Freeport books done by my fav artist Wayne Reynolds & I got to lookin at the APG from them. I've heard about it before, but never gave it much thought & lately I've been thinkin about just goin OGL with D&D.

So does anyone have a good review of this book? Is it worth the buy & would it work with Pathfinder, would add anything in Pathfinder?

thanks for any help on this one. (anther reason I ask is with the outside source books like Tome of Horror & such being used in Pathfinder & such, might as well get familiar with the other D20 rulebooks that are out there)

btw I've looked at the stuff on Greenronin.com for it

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

Can't wait till you get that up, love the one you put up so far.

love visual stuff for campaigns

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

haven't been on the Wizard forums I think since the last Chainmail stuff was coming out, more or less just don't post there, besides I get my D&D/gaming fix here for the most part.

other then I'm not a big fan of the forum formats (thou it's not as bad as it was when I first started posting) here, still all around good forum.

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

too bad about just being black, would love to see this one as a dark grey (similar to the gob's skintone). Don't mind black shirts but wearing black here right now is basically saying hey lets turn up the heater in the house!!!

still gonna pick one up when I can thou.

"So I stand by my earlier recomendation: Burn It Down!"

Great White played in Sandpoint?????

sorry I have nothing useful to contribute to this other then it does state that the owner of the theatre has contacts in Magnimar & he does bring up talent that is or was suppose to play there.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

official source--Paizo.com is all I use for Gamemastery release dates!!!

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

most of the artwork I really liked, I for one love the warchanter artwork it fits with the way the gobs are portrayed in the adventure, but I agree some of the artwork was ehhh ok. I didn't mind Tsuko's but the half-elf merc pic was a bit ehhh for me.

Still thou, overall great production values.

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

I have nothing to hide so I had no problem coming over here & saying "Hey I'm the idiot that did that".

Selk, no worries, your just protecting Paizo's best interests with what you found & posted.

Ross, I make a requirement that my players download the Player's Guide before playing, as I want to be familiar with the setting they are in, as much as possible, epically with this being a new setting & such.

I should have just did either a link to the map here or just kept the photo of Sandpoint in my post (even thou there is a map in the Player's Guide, I'm just a visual kinda person) & then a key like #1 Cathedral: ran by Holy so & so #2 Bob's Magic Shop, items here can be obtained at 20% cost, etc etc.

I guess I let my enthusiasm for running the game get to me. Thanks Vic, I appreciate the thumbs up for letting me proceed with my game. If I had a local group to game with, I'd go that way, but alas my town is pretty much devoid of gamers, or at least it extremely hard to find them (no local game store), thou I'm still holding out for getting a local group together.

Again thanks
RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

for some reason when I think of Riddleport I think Freeport, maybe it's just the ---port or maybe cause WAR did a cover for Freeport, but in a way I think that they are same products right now. Of course this will change when we get official Paizo Riddleport info of course.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

Hey guys

it was me that posted, as Reaper's forum is where I mostly hang out for gaming related stuff (along with here as well). I never intended to post the entire adventure & such & I'm sorry if I step on any toes in the process, as I hold Reaper & Paizo in high regards within the gaming community, as both companies put out great products, take care of their customers right away, heck make me feel like I have a local game store to go again.

Here's my response I put up after I took down the Sandpoint posting, (just copy & pasted for here, thou edited for spelling & such, ha ha)----

Hey everyone,

edited due to I stepped on Paizo's copyright. I'll repost in a shorter edited version. I mainly wanted to the town of Sandpoint to have the same feeling I had when I read the description of Sandpoint, I wanted to breathe life into a great homeplace for the PCs. I hope in the future that I don't step on anyone toes with this one. If it gets to a point I will stop this game if it gets that far.

I'll admit I'm not a good editor when it comes to things like this, always been one to just go for what has been published & such, this time is was "Oops, I messed up a good one & I'm an idiot for doing so" moment.

Again sorry to Reaper, Ed, Kit & everyone involved with running this forum & the company of Reaper, who I hold in so high regard, as they've allowed me to step outside my local boundries & become a gamer again, even it's in a "virtual gaming group" & also sorry to Paizo & to the writers & everyone involved with Pathfinder, & epically James Jacobs as well (the author for this book & many other writings, as I have high regards for him, one of my favorite game authors at the moment), I never intended to post the entire adventure on here, & after awile I thought that something might go wrong with what I had posted.

Trust me when I say that the adventure is worth a buy, it is. I see this a major turning point in campaign settings, adventure (module) buying. It made me feel like I was buying the old adventures again, epically with my future with D&D in doubt with 4e on the horizon & such, heck it's made me rethink my future WoTC purchases, funny all that after just 2 or 3 Gamemastery/Pathfinder setting books too.

Again, I hope everyone accept my apology & I hope to have this still start on time next week (the 12th), but if not I totally understand why it can't/won't.

thanks
Randy Mendoza

----

As I said above, I never intended to repost the game, heck I want people to pick up Pathfinder, the Gamemastery modules, anything related to Pathfinder! I WANT them to be big hits as I want to stick around, as I love the quality of the work & want more info to be released for the setting (& such, but when I said I want to make the PCs feel like I did when reading Sandpoint, I mean that, I wanted to convey a weekly sit down D&D game & what a better way then to have a great hometown setting.

If it's ok with Paizo's staff, I'd still like to continue the Pathfinder play by post if I can, but I wanted to make sure with you guys first before continuing with it. My players are/were looking forward to this one, heck one guy has even thought out how his character will be when he's around 10th level, remember this is a pbp game, ha ha, he is just so much into the character he wants to play.

Again sorry for stepping on anyone, or anything in the process of this, that wasn't my intent at all.

thanks for listening

Also before I forget is there anyway to to tag messages to follow later on this forum? I tend to post in messages here, but with so much volume & such the post get buried within the rest of the messageboard. Just not to use to this type of forum I guess, thanks for any info.

forgot to add this

I'm the DM & the player in question will be a Hexblade, so I can see why he'd want these feats as part of his character.

not sure why he'd want 0, but I agree there really isn't any significant difference between 0 & 1 in regards, so I think I'll let him do that.

I was leanin toward letting the feats stack, mainly cause hey you gotta take a feat to get one of these & those only come around every 4 levels or so.

thanks for the ideas, but please keep them coming, helps to have anther person's opinion on something like this.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

I'll put a vote in for yes, love the cover art. I'm not much into reading novels & such these days, but I'd get those for the artwork (something similar to what Age of Worms art print would be nice).

Ontario Oregon (about 60 miles west of Boise Idaho, right on the border of OR)

If you've ever read the Stand, the part where the heroes are trying to cross a bridge over a river, well that is like 5-10 mins (depending on traffic etc etc) east of me, LOL.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

haven't even started to play #1 with my players (start date will around the 12th of Sept), but after reading #1, can't wait for this one!!! (besides gotta have that cover!!!)

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

Hey guys, kinda stuck with this one, player wants to use the following...

I like to know if these features stack? Normally you intimidate one foe/opponent at a time.

INTIMIDATING STRIKE (PHBII79)
Prerequisite: Intimidation 4 ranks
As a Standard action, you make a single melee attack against your foe. Your subtract a number from this attack equal to or less than your base attack bonus. If your attack hits, you can make an intimidation check against the foe you struck, with a bonus equal to the number you subtracted from your attack roll.

NEVER OUTNUMBERED (CS87)
You can demoralize multiple enemies .
Prerequisite: Intimidate 8 ranks .
Benefit: When you use Intimidate to demoralize an opponent (PH 76), you can affect all enemies within 10 feet that can see you, rather than only a single enemy you threaten . Each enemy rolls a separate modified level check to oppose your Intimidate check, but the skill check otherwise works
as normal

Also, for the Intimidating Strike can I chose to subtract the number 0?

Can I use Intimidating Strike as an AOO, just like a trip is allowed?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Hey guys

I've been wanting to get the Tome of Horror for a few years now, but since it's not a WoTC book, I can't get it locally. Yah there is the net for orders & such, but almost every time I either forgot about it or just didn't want to order. Anyways with Pathfinder #1 out & fully read. I noticed a few entries regarding this book, now I know the encounters are fully contained in those stats blocks (ie no need for that book, etc etc), but I've always been one to have the book it was taken from & such, thus having Pathfinder I decided to buy the Tome of Horrors book. So there yah go, a sale for a rpg book, see what Pathfinder can do---sales!!!

ha ha I did order the pdf off drivethrurpg.com & I'm not one for pdfs, but for some reason I liked doing this for that book (heck 10 bucks I can handle that!!!)

Just curious but will future "issues" use any of the other Tome of Horrors books (II & III??), never know I might want to order those as well, ha ha

thanks guys, nice to read about some "old friends" again (1st & 2nd ed monsters updated for 3.5)

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

thought I'd add a updated response to this one now that I have the printed copy in my hand.

I'd like to keep it multiple files, after having the book & then seein multiple "chapters" I like not having to go to the beastery for this, or to the Sandpoint "chapter" for this, nice to have them separated & ready to go if & when you need them.

Hey guys

got player that is wanting to use this Pr-class as a future option, but what I read there aren't any orders like this one. Would it be ok for him to use this later on? (of course alter it to fit the game if it can come in)

thanks
RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

received mine the other day & have poured over it since then. Great adventure, great background support, I say it's a keeper!!!

RM

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

gotta admit when I see the "affair with ####", I wasn't prepared to see that, but I like that the story has mature themes in it, granted at first I was just gonna switch it to a m/f relationship, but then after awile I said naaaaaaaa if my players can't handle then I guess they can't roll with the story.

now I just gotta make one or both of them play the part as I'll be typing out their interactions due to I play in a online PbP game.

great work guys (heck even went over on my break at work reading the adventure), love you guys put the wickedness but still goofy back into goblins, I laughed at their antics, but at the same time was like "ohhhh wow how could they!!"

heck not even finished reading & then putting the adventure in my head to recall for later yet & I want book #2!!!!! ha ha
