Thanks for the offer, but I have to decline. I'm reading this for fun now, but the time is still an issue, if not as much as in the previous weeks. Have fun with her.
Plus, maybe the traps take care of the zombies?
I would have done the same thing.
Gunnom is still curious as to what happens next and takes only a small step foreward (B4), keeping her guard up (Total Defense).
Dr. Tarren DM:
Gunnom enters the Arena (A4) to look around as well.
"Hmm... Now what?"
I still need to purchase my equipment. Sorry. I hope I get to it today.
Gunnom understands not much of the little speech of the old one, but the last sentence was pretty clear, even to her.
Without further thinking she turns her back on the scene and goes to where she came from.
Irritated by the old men lecturing her, but getting that he is something of a tutor, Gunnom gets her arms back up to defend herself. Total Defense
"It not hurt much. He hit like mosquito sting."
"... Who this man? He really good..." Gunnom lets out, letting her guard down in surprise.
AoO for Lil drinking a potion: AoO round 9: (1d20+7=17, 1d6+4=10)I hadn't thought it would work...
Seeing the halfling letting his guard down while getting his potion drunk, Gunnom swings an fist in the general direction of the small one, not really aiming carefully enough to hit him.
"Now what? We fightin' or huggin' us?"
Total defense, Dodge... as above
Karr the Choleric wrote: Because of my good looks and charming personality. Hahaha Gunnom is as charming as Karr is, the looks on the other hand...
"What ya doin wit him? He not our friend! Why help him?" Gunnom shouts in the direction of Ilil, while defending herself from any attacks the halfling would make.
Total defense, Dodge, AC: 10+4DEX+3WIS+1Dodge+6TotalDefense = 24
So, shall we wait for Drunk Monk?
Yeah... Gunnom must really have a crush on that halfling. At least she is female. ... Somewhat.
Nice. Now I only need an 16 or so to actually hit.
AoO against Lil'Jackie (1d20+7=8)
And I fumble. By the gods...
Gunnom sees the halfling suddenly come close to her, and out of reaction to her training tries to hit him, but pulls back in the last second, getting herself off balace.
Thanks. Too bad I don't get an AoO for the halfling leaving my threatened area... Though I probably would not hit anyway...
Lil' Jakie wrote: ... to move around the half orc and jump up on the table. ... About that... a new map would be nice.
"Stand still now, han'som'! Me not wanna hurt you, but me have to! An' you hit me last time! You not gonna do that again! not with cloths on" Gunnom lets out, between the attacks against Lil'Jackie.
Attacks in round 7 (1d20+5=13, 1d20+4=21)
"You not stand still! Me begin to not like you!"
from my judgement it would hit. But just wait for the Escape Artist...
Tarren the Dungeon Master wrote: You're going to throw a fish at Jakie? hehehe. Okay, well, I guess it will require a successful grapple check first (1d20+CMB+any modifiers for grapple). If successful, a second grapple check would be required for throwing the fish on the next round. Such a small object though, you might want to just throw it as an improvised weapon instead of doing a grapple check for the throw. Your choice. Have you ever tried catching a fish with bare hands?
Lil' Jakie wrote: Unfortunately, I seem unable to land a blow on the half orc either. You just don't want to touch her!
Hearing the halfling shouting and seeing him besides Ilil Gunnom runs over to him, as fast as the goo let's her move, then covers the halfling in a flurry of blows...
Attack with MW Kama and normal Kama (1d20+5=8, 1d20+4=13)
... but not hitting him. As usual, she does not really want to hurt the handsome halfling.
Gunnom, thinking of no better plan, retrieves the potion of Divine Favor and drinks it.
+1 luck bonus to attack and damage rolls for 10 rounds
Tarren the Dungeon Master wrote: Was that a real question or rhetorical? It was rather real... Gunnom made her Reflex save for the Tanglefoot bag, but has goo all over her... How would the goo react to water?
Ah, well, what is Gunnom able to do?
Seeing that that did not go that well she speaks: "Sorry." while looking down to Ilil. The half-orc then remembers the goo still sticking all over her body. "Ewww... sticky. You think han'som' mind?" That in turn reminded her of the ongoing fight in the restaurant. Turning she looks out for any combatant near her, but finds no one.
That's all for this round.
@ Ilil: remember the +1 morale bonus on Attack rolls! lasts till round 11.
Tarren the Dungeon Master wrote: You can touch the bamboo poll running up and down (the fulcrum?). The bamboo poll sitting on top of it (the beam?) is balanced precariously. You cannot reach the beam as it is too high. Turning the poll will likely cause the beam to fall. Dexterity check if you want to try. Gunnom's not the brightest of half-orcs. ... Okay, scratch that. I wonder why she can speak that straight.
She will try it.
Dexterity check (1d20+4=13)
Finally noticing the probable importance of the balance, Gunnom reaches up, whilst whispering to Ilil: "Catch!"
The half-orc tries to turn the bamboo lying on the balance so that it is over the ways in the restaurant along the F-Row, then pulling the one half over Ilil down rapidly.
Ideally, the one over Ilil falls down, whilst the other gets propelled up towards Ilil as well. (Catapult-style)
Call for any appropriate checks.
Thanks for the update and recap. And Gunnom is female.
I will wait for my turn this time.
I think it is a new round and we need a new map...
On 16
Seeing the Fire ignite the halfling, Gunnom also prepares for the fight, popping open one small flask and drinking it, while running off to the middle trying to jump on the table.
drinking the Bless potion. (Each ally gains a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and on saving throws against fear effects. 10 rounds).
moving along the B-row 3 and 4, then over to C5 down to F5
Acrobatics to jump on the table (1d20+8=23) running start?
The female half-orc gracefully jumps over the chair on the table in the middle of the restaurant.
I hope I don't knock over the balance..
I'm with Ilil. B1/B8 would be nice, or A2/B1
"Oh, looky! The hansome one is over there! I got a bone to pick wit' ya! Ye here me?" she shouts over to the halfling, shaking her fist with one kama in it angryfully.
Turned to Ilil she whispers "Oh, he so hansome. How it hurt to have to hit him..."
"Bring... what?" Gunnom asks shyly.
Equipment bought.
1 masterwork, 1 normal kama
1 tanglefoot bag
2x Acid (flask)
1x Alchemist’s fire (flask)
1x Potion of Bless
1x Potion of Divine Favor

Sorry, you can charge down the stairs? Straight line and so, I thought..., well, anyway:
Hearing the halfling charge, Gunnom spins around, seeing the foot of the attacker comming right at her face. She feels the pain of that hit, but manages to blow it away just to attack her opponent once more:
Orc Ferocity attack (1d20+3=4)
Right... a fumble.
Gunnom really does not want to hit the halfling it seems.
"Oh, you table-dancin for Gunnom? Gunnom like to watch! Now I need beer." With that Gunnom leaps over the railing, down on the table I7-H8, more graceful than anyone had thought the half-orc to be able Yay! Nat. 20!Acrobatics to leap down on the table, over the railing (1d20+8=28), grabing the beer stein while landing and taking a sip, while turning to face the halfling.
Lil' Jakie wrote: Drunk Monk, excepting a 'last words' post, should be at -2 hp and out of the fight. A nice three-way-fight then! Okay, at it.
Gunnom, having no immediate contestant at hand, reaches over to grab the char nearby K6, keeping it ready as to throw it on the one monk standing, if the others resolve their fight.
Waiting for Drunk Monk to react, as I got no partner to dance anymore...
Ha, Orc Ferocity... I would have forgotten that... Now let's see how long Gunnom can last with 2 HP left.
Ah, thanks for letting me stand one round longer...
"GWAHH!! Ow! Now just wait you!"
Misthing Gosmack wrote: Gunnom wrote: that AoO from the AoO-Grapple be not before the actual AoO-Grapple? That would be weird... Yup. You could attempt to Trip, and I could counter with a Trip, and if I succeeded, I'd prevent your Trip from ever happening. If we both had Combat Reflexes and Dex 16, we could continue into a chain of eight total AoOs triggered by that, and people would definitely think we were dancing...
Nice... anyway, I think it is your turn now.
Set wrote: In 3.5, you can attempt a grapple/trip/disarm as an AoO. I'm not clear on whether you can in Pathfinder... But yeah, it should provoke a followup AoO from you as well. I did not know that... And, would that AoO from the AoO-Grapple be not before the actual AoO-Grapple? That would be weird...
Hu? Attempting to grapple is a standard action... So can you make a maneuver instead of an AoO? Would I get an AoO if you would not have Improved Grapple?
Now I would like to trip Misthing, if I knew how...
So, I have a CMB of 0+3+0= 3, while Misthing has 4.
According to page 150 of the Beta I have to:
Pathfinder RPG Beta Page 150 wrote: When you perform a combat maneuver, make an attack roll and add your CMB to the result plus any bonuses you might have due to specific feats or abilities. So it is: 1d20+3(attack roll)+3(CMB)
Against:Pathfinder RPG Beta Page 150 wrote: The DC to successfully perform the maneuver is determined using the following formula:
DC = 15 + the target’s CMB
therefore 19(+possible damage from the AoO)
Misthing please do your AoO, if you like
Gunnom laughs further at Misthing: "You not hit me! I hit you but you not hit me! You now go down." she predicts, spinning, one foot extended, trying to sweep the other halforc off her feet.
Trip attempt, Trip attempt. (1d20+6=12) eh, nevermind.
Tallis Kotellos wrote: Alright, since what I'm going to do has no effect on the half-orcs, I'm posting now. Female Half-orcs! (maybe we should start grappling? Would that draw attention? But there is no mud in the bar...)
