Since this looks like an extremely complicated way to get hit on the head once again, Grond just steps quickly away from the circle and the stones.

Making an attempt to be gallant, Grond intercepts Ka'kara. "Let me try it first," he says.

Grond is going to check for any traps on the stones or pillar, taking 20 (for a result of 26) if possible.

Grond is ready to go whenever.

"Well gosh, that was easy! It's like it was already opened or something!" ;)

Ka'kara peeks back in and signals Grond, "There's a chest in here you may want to look at."

Grond follows Ka'kara's voice, only to find her staring at the chest. Her babbling about the net doesn't necessarily make any sense to him, but that she wants it open is pretty clear. That's okay. So does he. He sits down next to it and gets to work.

Perception, to search for traps on the chest (1d20+6=15)
Disable Device, to take down any traps he finds or to unlock the chest (1d20+8=17)

Grond swings his falchion again, looking for some way to gain an extra edge over the little scaly wretches.

Would like to move to a flanking position if one is available within a 5 ft step.
Falchion attack with bless (1d20+5=24 [+2 if flanking], damage 2d4+4=9)
Crit confirm (1d20+5=23, damage 2d4+4=9)
Sneak attack damage (if applicable) (1d6=5)

Cor! Talk about overkill!

Grond swings his falchion again, feeling rage and bloodlust bubbling up inside him.

Falchion attack (1d20+4=5, 2d4+4=7)
Maybe I should just leave the rolling to you, Tom... Forgot the bless, but it doesn't matter on the natural 1. (sigh)

Grond notices the half-elf charging away from the rest of the group, but decides to leave the madman to his fate. He readies another javelin as he charges toward the cornered kobolds, making sure to put himself between them and Roylenna.

Move - not a charge, flavor notwithstanding - to 4508.

Once he gets close enough, he hurls the javelin, trying to finish off the smoldering victim of Royl's blast.

Javelin attack on whichever one of the kobolds is the one that took most of the burning hands:
1d20+4=13, damage 1d6+3=8
Man! Apparently IC just doesn't like it when I play other people's characters!

Grond rushes into the room, hoping to get close enough that he's within 30 ft of a kobold and at an angle that gets around or reduces its cover, and throws his javelin at it.

Not being more specific, because I don't know where the kobolds are exactly, but the above seems possible. Rolls, assuming that it is:
Javelin attack (1d20+4=7, damage with sneak attack 2d6+3=11)
Uh, never mind.

As before, however, the javelin merely flies wide, burying itself in one of the dummies and quivering there.

Not thrilled about running into another trap and taking yet more knocks about the skull, Grond grabs his javelin and falls in beside Royl and Proteus, willing to let Sandros and Ka'kara take the lead.

Surprise round, I assume?

Initiative (1d20+3=4)
Ouch.

Grond roars and hurls a javelin at the closest kobold.

Not sure how far into the cave Grond can be, but he'd like to be about 15 feet or so from the entrance.

Grond brightens. "Yeah, I can do that!" Then he frowns again. "No, wait, I had to cut the tripwire. Couldn't move it. Should still be down there, though."

Covering for Grond.

Grond watches Ka'kara and Roylenna curiously, then takes his watch without fuss. He spends most of the night sharpening his falchion and waiting for another chance to use it on kobolds.
