About Grollus Ardensmith

Grollus grew up on the streets of Absalom as a street urchin, but was eventually taken in by the church of Calistria. He found work as a courtesan, and quickly gained renown for his skill with a whip. However, one day a planar rift opened up, flooding the temple with devils who routed the clergy and worshippers. Grollus survived by hiding until the attack was over, but thereafter swore revenge against the otherworldly creatures, and set out to rid the world of such monsters.

He joined other groups of adventure-seekers from time to time, but was turned off by their greed for treasure, and hesitance to risk their lives for the sake of those who couldn't pay. He also allied for a time with paladins of Sarenrae, but found them too forgiving of those who ravaged the innocent. He eventually despaired of finding anyone who shared his zeal for purging the world of evil, and set out on his own. However, after barely escaping an encounter with a succubus, he was ready to give up, when he received a mysterious invitation...
