Backstory:
Grinner originated from the Mushfens just west of Korvosa as an herbalist and healer for his tribe of Grippli. Through his companion, Tin the Turtle, he was able to commune with spirits and call upon their power to protect the fold. He enjoyed life with his tribe, but life in the Mushfens was dangerous indeed. Oftentimes there would be boggards, crocodiles, or marsh giants disrupting their life, and they would have to either defend themselves or run. A sorrowful day happened when the tribe lost most of their fold from a particularly deadly marsh giant attack.

Seeing that he had no more to rely upon, he headed out of the swamp to seek new life. He eventually wound up in Korvosa and began making a living there, again as an herbalist and healer.
