So for the first time my husband just ordered a 3PP bundle from here. turns out he will now need hours to dl 60+ files all one by one, with at least 5 secs each time before the file, maybe, will begin to download. A few times now he got stuck and had to repeat the process. Additionally, the file names are all a mess inside the zips due to the misplaced need to encrypt them. Which means I will later have to go through all the dang files to rename them. With my bad eyes, that will take an eternity. Time I do not really have. Asides of that, time is money, and what we saved with the bundle we will have to spend twice on dealing with this method.

Who thinks of an insane time consuming process like this? Who has time to waste on such matters, when in other stores, you can at least dl 10 files at once at it will not exchange th4e names of the files with some silly code.

What is also bad is that his credit card info got stored automatically, which is a big red flag for us. Ask if you want to store such sensitive information please. instead of just taking.

Needless to say, husband is fuming and I'm also quite annoyed. We will not use the Paizo store anymore, unless for free products, until this changes to something sensible. It would be a good thing to make this process easier, as I doubt we are the only ones preferring a quick, simple download.

At a loss for words, as usual in such cases. I love his work.

I've not read all of the current sexuality/gender threads, but I would think the simple short time solution is to adapt the AP's NPCs to your party interests where possible.

If I have a mostly male group, as happens 90% of the time, I keep the many female possible love interests female. If I have women in the group, I change some of the NPCs to male, finding replacement pics online if I have to, or spice the male descriptions up.

And because women are indeed often oversexualized, I tend to find replacement pics for some of them anyway, portraying them as average, normal looking women. Average normal looking women can be love interests, too, ya know, not all male PCs just shallowly stare at breasts.

Yeah I would love for Paizo to stop being imbalanced to begin with. As that's probably not going to happen, I'll keep adapting. Something my (male) GMs tend to do as well.

It's not only the female gamers unhappy with the situation.

Ugh, not sure if I like where this is going, really, mixing sci-fi into fantasy is something I'm trying to avoid. Exept of course my ages long campaign of Faerun-gone-space, or my multiworld campaign mixing everything from high tech to stone age and...

Uh yeah, I may actually want to run this. Maybe ;.)

My LFGS would very much like me running PF (and other games) at their location every once in a while. I'd love to run PF scenarios, as they are of shorter duration. I've decided to start with some of the retired scenarios, modifying them to fit outside the PFS set up but I might run more than those eventually (depending on my time).

I was wondering who else did this already, and if there had been confusions despite making it clear in the sign ups that the games are not counting for organized play.

And yes, I have considered to just run them as intended, but the bureaucracy and limits involved and me don't go together at all.

We do have Staples in Germany, we shop there more or less regularly. They do have a copy center to do digital printing.

The less stuff comes out in October, the better. Essen Game Fair takes precedence for our wallets (although it means we'll pick up missed PF stuff there, too).

Yeah what about us Europeans?

Dark Archive

Interesting. Basically what we've been doing all along. :-)

Dark Archive

Yup, we need the continents badly...

Both times I DMed this, they came out 4th level as well and did fine in the final adventure.

Dark Archive

Yeah,we are about through.

We left the world setting as is (Faerun, the world this group plays in for a while now).

You need to fit the adversaries/monsters/dangers/ to match the PC's power level - sometimes on the fly when you notice the D&D versions are too powerful. Alternatively let them start a level or two ahead.

Two deaths (from 5 players) until now, and while it was sometimes close, the group liked the challenge.

I haven't read all of this but... if you are the GM, you can adapt the material if you want. You can make the oracle hard of hearing instead of deaf, assign extra benefits or even invent new curses. All official game material is, after all, only the basis for us to build upon.

- more court politics/intrigues
- underwater based AP would be cool, too
- less dark themes. I love dark, but it's to the point of overdoing it
- something involving dragons
- something involving time travel
- if dungeons, include TRAPS
- something about the other rune lords
- pirates vs ninjas!
- a mystery where nothing is really as it seems
- a group of initially evil PCs in need to rescue the world. Possible alignment change included

In no specific order.

A definite yes to underwater adventuring. Although this shouldn't take up too much space in a pirate campaign, it would be good as an extra adventure.

I often forgo the whole intro part as well, but that doesn't speed things up THAT much. It is really the battles where the games tend to die of or slow down immensely. I would wish for a simplified online battle system which still keeps in mind all the possibilities but that is likely too much to ask.
