Think I've answered all emails received at this point. Note that I'm sending out an earlier (and smaller) version of Silke's work without the complete complement of artwork. If anyone knows how to distribute the larger 34mb file over means other than email, I'll be glad to oblige.
DR Fever...I sent emails to a couple of people, but couldn't match the email with your alias. If you didn't get a copy then I probably didn't get your email...send me another and I'll close the loop. Thanks.
I've got a copy. Send me an email at kendallpenn@hotmail.com and I'll reply with a copy
Check out The Only Sheet at www.theonlysheet.com If you've got a minimal amount of skill with Excel, this sheet will do anything within the Pathfinder rule set; if you don't have skill, the product manager will help. A great system.
The Only Sheet truly is the "only sheet" for serious gamers. Fully compatible, with both the 3.5 and Pathfinder rule sets, this sheet made a huge difference in our campaign enjoyment.
The Only Sheet gets my vote...the best integrated Excel-based sheet I've found...www.theonlysheet.com
Isn't he buried under the endzone of Giants' Staduium?
Once again Daemonslye, my hat's off to you on another great product. Thanks for all you hard work and generosity.

Thanks!
A great online resource for DQ fans, including the rulebooks can be found at http://www.dragonquestfrontiers.com/
I started my party on the ship. One of the PCs was a crew member. All PCs had a background that affiliated them with one of the major factions to help drive roleplay with the NPCs who boarded at the various ports. Putting everyone on the ship for a short time enabled the PCs to get a feel that something might not be quite kosher with Ieanna and the captain prior to the final meal. Additionally, I seeded the ship with copies of an old newspaper, the Eleder Examiner, in order to foreshadow trouble with the Freeman's Brotherhood, a memorial to crew of the Brine Demon, and other pieces of information useful to my storyline. In all, only a short amount of play time, but a great payoff in storyline development.
My group begins Smuggler's Shiv next week. I'm trying to use the competition and interplay of the various factions as a means to drive increased role play and have decided to give each PC his/her own personal tie to a faction: 1 PC will be aligned with the Sargavan government and will have just captured Jask Derindi, not realizing he is actually innocent. Two PCs will be aligned with the Pathfinder Society and will be following in the footsteps of Eando Kline in order to entice him to return to Absolom at the behest of the Society. A fourth PC will be from a family aligned with the Aspis Consortium and will be a junior officer aboard the Jenivere. I think this will drive greater interaction with the various NPC castaways and will also create some interesting dynamics when the party finally reaches Eleder and begins preparing for the journey to Savith Yhi. Can anyone out there see any pitfalls associated with this course of action or have other advice?
Because if you fall on really hard times, you can eat the donkey and not feel bad about it.
+1
For other players, it provides another option besides hitting him with a sword....which will decisively end gameplay. For me, I considered passing the information off to legitimate authority the lawful thing to do.
In a similar situation, I tipped off the city guard that the party member was a thief and paid the guard a couple of gold pieces to hire extra help and have him tailed wherever he went when he was in the city.
I've also posted wanted posters with the rogue's picture all over the city and established a reward for his capture in the commission of crimes.
I did both of these surrepititously, so even though the rogue suspected I was behind it, he could not be sure. These actions encouraged the rogue to act in a lawful manner while in town and discouraged overt evil actions.
There are two key resources I used which proved invaluable: (1) The Shackled City message board on this website and (2) The RPGenius website at http://therpgenius.pbworks.com/
The messageboards have lots of good ideas; the RPGenius has lots of good products. Have fun.
Zerix..You should be able to post files to several different web services. I use http://www.4shared.com
Erevis, you make a couple of good points, but I don't understand what you're position is on the original post?
Our DM has been struggling with the same issue across a number of his campaigns. Several members of our group have used multiple splat books for character creation, resulting in PCs who overpower the rest of the party. To make things more equal in his upcoming campaign, and still give players lots of options, he is awarding XP based on degree of deviation from the core books. PCs using standard races/classes advance on the fast progression table. As PCs deviate from the core, they progress on the slower tables. I'll be interested to see how this plays out, but it seems as though it may address everyone's concerns in our group.
I think you could easily wrap things up with Thirteen Cages and a dramatic finale with the Cagewrights assembled there. Strike on Shatterhorn does little to advance the overall story line and, per your post, Adimarchus is not a player in your campaign...so there is no reason to travel to Carceri.
Reminds me of a quote from a resident of an alternate universe:
"You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you"
I agree with all the previous posts that you should approach the offending player head on. As a further thought, instead of looking for ways to punish the offending party member, perhaps you should find ways to reward the party members who do show up and contribute.
Not sure about the propriety of mentioning specific vendors' products in the messageboards, but The Only Sheet (www.theonlysheet.com)produces an integrated character sheet based on EXCEL that has a separate sheet for familiars/animal companions/mounts. As a character increases in level the familiar increases in strength/ability. In all, a truly excellent product.
My party is composed of a wide mix of ages, from 10 yrs - 46 yrs. It has been a challenge to make each session challenging and interesting for everyone. The kids all want combat; the adults want more role-play. To give everyone a litte of what they want, I've been using hybrid live/play-by-post gameplay. This gives the adults the opportunity to interact, investigate, and ask questions. They use the information gathered during these interludes to drive where the party goes and what it does during live play. The play-by-post has helped keep connected those adults who have been absent from live play due to business.
This technique might be useful for use with your large party to keep those on the sidelines connected to the play.
I'm running a SCAP campaign with 7 PCs. I use both techniques that you've listed. The XP method ensures that a PC can meet the challenge rating of the adventures even when they can't regularly attend playing sessions. At the beginning of the campaign, I had each PC submit a short story describing the character's background, and describing his/her goals for the character, including any desired magic items. This help me decide which items and when to add beyond what was already in each chapter.
There's a pretty good player's guide posted on theRPGenius under Chapter 0. I've used it with some modifications to give my players a baseline knowledge before starting the AP.
Thanks in advance. Address is kendallpenn@hotmail.com
My party is about to undertake the Secrets of the Soul Pillars. Does anyone have a diary for Fetor? I'm trying to give my party more information about the composition and dealings of the Cagewrights than is available in the letter to Embril.
I interpreted the book to say that the plane of Occipitus had always existed as a layer of the Abyss, but that a chunk of Celestia (not sure what layer) had been torn off and cast into the Abyss. This occurred when Adimarchus' demonic army managed to invade and capture a portion of Celestia.
