Giochi Uniti is currently working with the folks at Wyrd to transition the publishing duties as best as possible. They have (so far as I know) published a new printing of the Core Rulebook, and plan to release the Beginner Box, the Bestiary Box, and a couple other items in relatively short order.

They also plan to finish off the Council of Thieves Adventure Path that Wyrd started.

It is our hope that a company with the resources of Giochi Uniti will be able to bring a steady stream of Pathfinder products to the Italian-speaking audience, and I know that they plan to do this.

So even if it seems like not much is happening at this moment, I assure you that things ARE happening, and that Giochi Uniti is working hard to bring new Pathfinder material to the Italian market as soon as possible.

Thank you very much Erik!!!

Now i can wait quietly until new releases will be putted on the shelves. If you say Giochi Uniti are working hard i believe.

Thanks again!

I read that Giochi Uniti took over the PF license.

Yes, true. But the situation is worst then before. Wyrd is a small company and may have lot of problems to manage a complex product like Pathfinder.

Many people here claim a bigger publisher took over the license, so we can touch, and read and play more manuals.
But the situation is not better, at all!

No one in Paizo know what happen to their products in Italy and bring some light on this dark situation?

Ciao Graziano

I'm an italian huge pathfinder fan as well.So far i only played in PbP but this is not the point of it.
I'm very displeased with the italian edition of pathfinder as well, and so far i bought from Paizo all my material;from Wyrd i have the corebook, the Second Darkness AP and a few others.
I completely understand you Graziano.

Se non ti dispiace,mi diresti come è stata tradotta la Guida del Giocatore? Non la ho presa perchè avevo già l'edizione americana.

One question if you please:i didn't read the italian translation of the Advanced Player's Guide as i already have the english ed, how has it been translated?

Ciao Gandal!

As i said in the previous post, the italian publishers are killing Pathfinder before he can really rise above the "nothing" we have in Italy since the failure of D&D 4th edition.

The italian translation made by Wyrd is good, excepted for the first print of the core, bugged with many errors.
All other publications are really very good.
I bought all Pathfinder books in english, and still continue to do, because, honestly, the future for this wonderful rpg in our country is black, really blac :-(

I am sorry to hear you are having great difficulties with the publishers in your area Graziano. Perhaps someone like Vic or Erik will have some insight on how to help here.

Thanks for your answer!!!

I will try ask to Erik if he knows something about the publisher plans for the future, if Giochi Uniti (the actual license owner) has really interest in support Pathfinder or just wait and wait and wait until the next D&D version comes out and kille Pathfinder definitivel in my country.

Actually i have all pathfinder manuals and adventure paths, bought in usa by a friend of mine and then sent to Italy, or some i buy directly in store here (all english version).

There are many people here like Pathfinder, and they all like see more products printed in our language, but actually the situation is really depressing: the last "big" manual printed is Advanced Player's Guide. No news about Inne Sea, the two ultimates, monster manuals... also the beginner box, planned for april, was delayed to a certain date in may.

We really can't understand why a big publisher bought the license and then do nothig to push Pathfinder and put it on the shelves.

3 people marked this as a favorite.

I live in Italy, and unfortunately, your product has absolutely no respect and the success it deserves to his having unspecified problems by the two publishers who have so far managed.

The adventure paths were massacred because of outputs so far away in time to take 2 years to conclude a single arc. The core books are in stand by since very long time, and the publisher seem not very interested to release something new in short period. No words about future plans, misterious delays in announced products...

It 'a shame that the Pathfinder line in Italy is undergoing the indignity of the publisher.

Is there any possibility of intervention on your part to bring clarity in terms of output so that Pathfinder has the success it deserves?

I removed a post. Personal attacks and insults are not welcome on the Paizo boards. (I realize that many posters here aren't native English speakers, and may not realize they've chosen words and phrases that come across as aggressive, but the post I removed is pretty clearly over the line.)

I apologize for the outburst. Unfortunately there are some people on italian forum that try to denigrate the work done by Wyrd for no reason.

They can't continue with this game on that forum and try to do the same here.

So... sorry again, but it's really important that Paizo know how Wyrd really works: there was some delay with some manuals, but nothing bad like those people try to make believe.
