Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Ah must of misread it!

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Dyrnwyna if anything running may be are only option. An option I hate, but Fate is against us here."

Standing, Gran grits his teeth throws down his glaive and draws Aecris. Dark energy wraps around the blade as Gran channels the enegies of his mistress

Invigorating Smite on H3 1d20+9=12, definiatly a miss. But all allies, that are bloodied, within 5 squares regain 6 hit points. Not much but should give us one round to either flee or try to mount a comeback. Odder things have happened.

Action Point; Ardent Strike on H3 1d20+9=25; Damage 1d8+6=11 and H3 is under my divine sanction

"Dyrnwyna I don't care if it hits me or not! But if you can use that magic of yours to clear out some of these hobs then do it!"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Gran out at h4. In the process challenging the hobgoblin

Divine Challenge on H4. Shielding Strike on H4, 1d20+7=19; Damage 4d4+5=20, Frivy gains a +1 power bonus to AC until the end of my next turn

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Eldritch Blast on H4 1d20+5=17 vs Reflex; Damage 1d10+4=13

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

That's not a bad idea

Move to L21

"Quinn, Frivy, Dyrnwyna fall back we have a better chance of holding them in the hall!"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Perception 1d20+7=17

"This will make quite the story if we manage to live through it" Gran smiles as he see's the advancing horde.

Gran lashes out at H7 hoping to bring him to an end before the others can engage in combat.

Enfeebling Strike on H7 1d20+7=21; Damage 2d4+5=10, and take a -2 penalty to attack rolls until the end of my next turn.

Brujo steps forward and prepares for more

Shift to L19. If H7 is downed after that attack use Divine Challenge on H3

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Adent Strike on H61d20+7=24; Damage 2d4+5=11, and is subject to my divine sanction until the end of my next turn. Minor action Divine Challenge on H2

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Ardent Stike on H3 1d20+7=17; Damage 2d4+5=8, and is subject to my divine sanction until the end of my next turn.

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Initative 1d20+2=12

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Times like this I wish we had something to throw down there to distract them or even soften them up" Gran tightens his grip on his glaive

"So who wants to be going first?" He smirks "Quinn you and I seem the most armored of the group, perhaps form a 'wall' going down and have the others behind for ranged support"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Any ideas on how to handle our hob friends?"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Let's put his spider down quickly" Gran pulls his glaive to strike. As he does he mutters a small prayer.

"...Your fate is decided and your life ends today"

Divine Strength (minor), +2 to my damage this turn

Enfeebling Strike on S 1d20+7=21; Damage 2d4+7=11

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Sorry been in bed

Gran steps back and strikes at the spider again

IC is down. Shift to J26; Adrent Strike on S 1d20+7=24; Damage 2d4+5=10, and S is subject to my divine sanction until the end of your next turn. S takes 7 radiant damage the first time each round it makes an attack that doesn't include me as a target.

"Come on ugly"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Shift to k25; Ardent Stike on the spider, misses :(

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Oh, that's not good" Gran says as the arachnid approaches.

Turning to make sure everyone else is clear "Looks like it's time to run Frivy"

Move to L24 (taking OA); Ready an Action (standard) to strike the first enemy up the stairs, in reach, with Ardent Strike

"They have a pet spider" Gran remarks coming up the stairs

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Clear the stairs. I'll hold them as you retreat"

The glaive glows with dark energy as Gran strikes at one of the hobgoblins. At the same time he glares at a second one provoking him to fight.

Divine Challenge on H1 (minor); Ardent Strike on H2 1d20+7=12, not hitting anyone :(

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Well this looks like it's going to be fun."

Fran smiles at the two guards "I'm guessing me asking you nicely to through down you're weapong and surrender is out of the question"

Failed the check

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Gran grips his glaive and moves slowly forward

Move L20; Total Defense

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Initiative 1d20+2=15

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"I think your thinking of wight or ghoul, and so types of zombies, Quinn" Gran smiles as they make their way down.

"I've never seen a skeleton eat anyone, but nothing impossible"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Gran would choose down aswell. The quicker the priests (if they are down there) are dealt with the quicker we can move on

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Then down the undead halls it it" Gran places his hand on Aecris, and gives a short prayer, before taking up his glavie again.

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"So where should we head we left a few places unexplored"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Times like this I wish I had studied the arcane arts more. Could have used the magic to alleviate the smell if only for a bit"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Glaive in hand Gran moves in first "Just keep the light on me Quinn. Don't want anything to jump out on me"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Finishing his food and apologizing for any rudeness of his comrade, Gran leaves to resupply before heading out.

"Sunrods... Definiatly need more. That and APPLES" Gran smiles to himself and leaves out

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"If there are such 'tools'' we will find them if and when the Mistress deems us worthy. She will certainly not guide us your percious 'tools' if you continue with your excessive hubris and discourteous ways."

"And even even did guide us with to them... As you are now you would certainly meet you end by one of these tools" Gran places his palm on Aecris

"It would be like my Mistress for that to happen." He smirks and goes back into the room.

As he enters the room he gives a look to the eladrin "As for Orcus, his servants and spawn will be stamped out. Whether it's by us is yet to be seen, but as long as a servant to Mistress is left the task will be completed"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"If you have a problem with this place and her people that's fine. But if you're going to spend the entire time insulting it, I'd prefer you just left." He stare angrily at her

"I don't know why you came on this expediation, but perhaps you should think heavily on setting out if all your bringing is whining and your distain for this town and mission."

"Now if you want to continue with us then you get in there, you apoligize for insulting their homes, and then you mind your manners!"

"Sigh, Never did I think I'd have to chastise an eladrin. You'd think with all the time you've had someone would've taught you manners long ago"

This was a WHOLE lot longer >Wall-o-Text< but I think/hope I got across what I wanted him so say

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Gran stands, sheathing Aecris "Dyrnwyna join me outside". He gives the eladrin a bone chilling gaze.

"If you'll exuse us a moment" he bows to his hosts

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"He's more than a mere ghost" Gran keeps the words to himself as not to alarm others

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"And let's not leave out the kobolds. Vicious little things. You wouldn't expect something so small to put up such a big fight. Guess they can thank their draconic heritage for that."

Gran reaches to his side and draws Aceris laying the platinum plade infront of him.

"This was a 'gift' from the keep. Do you know anything about a Sir Keegan, or the the events that transpired there in the past?"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Seems she and her 'master' have something to so with the missing people and the dead rising"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Let's get her back quickly. I'm sure there's more here that need fixing."

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"No such thing, villainess. From now on justice shall 'take care' of you!"

Gran blinks and shakes his head as the dreck pours from the eladrin's mouth.

"Ah..." the only thing to escape his mouth as he tries to mind his manners.

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Odd thing, when I scored my crit the attack modifier was +5, but the actual modifier is +9. Where in the Nine did I come up with +5

Gran speeds off after her

Move to Q17; Enfeebling Strike 1d20+9=26; Damage 1d8+5=7

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Oh yeah I'm still hitting her

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Hey Quinn! Is it true you take the head off the beast the rest of the body died!?"

Gran rushes forward at elven woman

Move to K18; Divine Challenge on Ninaran; Enfeebling Strike 1d20+5=25, CRIT]; Damage 1d8+5=13, plus 1d6=4, 17 damage total, and Ninaran takes -2 on all attack roll until the end om my next turn

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Someone handle the dogs, I'll deal with the dead"

Gran flies into battle with Aecris is hand. The blade glows violently as it nears the undead.

"Time to rest"

He slashes into the first skelton in his way.

Move to M15; Divine Challenge on S2; holy Strike on S2, 1d20+9=17; 1d8+4=5 radiant

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"By the Mistress, it seems to be some sort of necromatic effect."

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"What is that?" Gran asks as he moves closer

Arcana 1d20+5=23; Move to T9

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"And what tradition would that be elf? In all my teachings in the church did I ever hearn 'let thy paladin go first into the darkness, as the rest of thee cower in the rear'. Your voice rings with fear and hubris. You talk and act as if you're better than us. Able to flick a finger and get anything done. When in fact your powers are immature. Perhaps that's the reason for your fear. You're scared that with all big talk someone will find you out exposing you to the world. Or maybe you're really afraid of fighting, or the fact that death lurks around the corner. Making light of another people and their customs eases you soul making this type of task possible."

"Death comes to all, weither we like or not. Fate cannot be broken."

Initiative 1d20+2=17. Place me at V13

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Gran rubs his hand the thought of decking the haughty elf running throught his mind.

"By the Dark Lady the undead will be purged and those taken returned", he says with a hint of annoyance.

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Frivy with Gran and D with Quinn

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"That's alright no need to push yourself to much. I'll take the first watch"

Nature = 7

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Two choices. We either return to town and make our way back tomorrow. Or we find a place to make camp nearby."

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"Gah, almost forgot how bright that can be. Everyone keep your eyes open. We don't want any kobolds sneaking up on us."

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Gran sighs "Pains me to say this but I think retreat is best. We can fall back and reorganize and resupply. My only worry is that we give the enemy the same chance."

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

"It does seem that way" he says as he inspects the shield.

Looking up from the shield, "So where should we head next?"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Gran chuckles a bit at Rhianis' comment.

"He's right Quinn. I'ts not like we're looking for the path of most resistance..." he pauses a moment "Ok, maybe a little"

Gran Rey (Male Human Paladin/3)

Sajan Gadadvara

Spending 2 surges (Healing Word included) to put me at 33hp

"Thanks" he rubs the still stinging areas.

"So what's our next move"
