Gornak glares at the woman for a while until she goes away.

Gornak glares at woman. After uncomfortable pause, Gornak grunts: "Milk." Gornak waits for her to return with drink, then pays. Then Gornak moves over to gambling tables to wait for Saul.

Gornak doesn't gamble. Just watches.

Gornak walks into Gold Goblin. Steps on man's foot. Man starts to yell, but stops when he gets a good look at Gornak. Gornak is big man, has lots of weapons. Gornak doesn't notice. He looks for Saul. Maybe Saul wants a new dancer for gambling hall. Gornak can dance good. He knows all kinds of dances. War dance. Mating dance. Funny dance.

Gornak looks in purse. Not much money left. Maybe he can make big money playing gambling games. Not likely.

Gornak grabs serving woman by arm. "Where is Saul? I am looking for Saul," Gornak asks in his gravelly bass.

Any prediction on when we will be starting?

I was just about to ask the same thing. :-)

Hmm...from the blog it looks like there will be some interesting changes in store for Gornak the bard, provided he can survive until August!

I'm done with my sheet (except maybe for the gear). I took the bard alternate class feature from the PF Campaign Setting, so don't expect a lot of bardic knowledge from ol' Gornak...

Is it O.K. if I take the spell Improvisational Boost from the Spell Compendium?

How do we generate our characters' ability scores? Point buy?

Likewise, what about starting cash?

Here's the character I used in an immediately-aborted Second Darkness game: Gornak Elf-Toes

Gornak bellows: "Saul! SAUL! Me dance for you, you hire me."

1d20-1=4

Duh...what?

Gornak grumbles. "5 coins? But me lost 5 coins before! Me not get rich this way. Become famous dancer instead."

He wanders away from the gaming table and starts looking for Saul.

Did Gornak win anything with his 5 sp bet? He rolled a 20 + 2 = 22.

Gornak grumbles "Okay. Me try again." and puts the last of his money on the ghoulette wheel.

1d20+2=22

His eyes brighten as he sees his fortunes change slightly. "Maybe me don't need new job. Can be rich gambler..."

Gornak takes his last gold piece and cashes it in for silver chips and heads over to the Ghoulette wheel. He snarls and gives the head a menacing stare: "Me better win. Or you in big trouble."

Gornak grinds his teeth in fury at his terrible luck! "Me want to talk to Saul. His games are broken!!"

Should we just make up names for games, or are there specific ones that the Gold Goblin offers?

Gornak is not currently using his soul, so he signs the contract with the Orcish rune for "foot" (in rather sloppy penmanship).

"Huh. Nice place." Gornak grunts appreciatively. "Hope me get to talk to Saul. Show him me can dance pretty."

The hulking, armored orc-son adjusts his pack and does a pirouette. For such a brutish figure clad from head to toe in bands of iron, he is surprisingly nimble and his grace belies his ancestry. He finishes with a CLANG and heads towards the gambling tables.
