Godelina rolls her eyes, not really understanding what is going on here.
Godelina gets down on one knees, getting closer to his hight so she seems less intimidating.
"We wished to check if you were okey. We've heard that you were in danger or quite distressed." Godelina says calmly, making sure not to move any closer as he does look like he'd run at any minute "If you have a problem we wish to help you with it any way we can." diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
I've been unable to get x-com to run well recently. Some update makes it incompatable with my graphics card. I have a radeon card, which seems to get the shaft in game updates. I've been playing Omerta: City of Gangsters and been having fun with it. Unlocked all but 2 achievements on it, completed the game and played a few multiplayer missions. Been plaing Alice: Madness Returns and KOTOR 2. Fun games in all. But Omerta isn't worth full price imo. Once you get a income it generally becomes too easy. Also been looking at other game systems and trying to find a cyberpunk system that I can understand AND will fit my idea for a begining.
Narrator of the lost Tomes wrote: As your explanation drags on the druid visibly relaxes, but when you get to the part about him hiding he tenses up again. "Hiding? Me? Now what would give you that idea?" and he begins slowly edging back towards his corpse of trees that is about 20 feet away. Godelina narrows her eyes, tired of this druid acting scared. "Because you were hiding yourself and not willing to speak with us." she sighs and takes a step forward. "You should not be afraid of is, if anything you should be chasing us up to help you. If there is some monster plaguing you, I will be happy to strike it down for you."
Godelina relaxes in posture and knowing how timid he appears, remains where she is so she doesn't spook him.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29 "Please sir, we are only here to help and root out the evil in this town. We have heard and seen many things, including evil priests who have been converted from our church. We hope you could shed some light on what is going on here." she points out as she calmly takes a step forward when pleading her case.
Godelina remains close to Edan, placing her hand on her hilt to be ready for what might happen next. She had no idea what trouble might appear here. She was afraid something might be wrong and kept her eyes out to focus on any possible danger, but it appears as if her eye settle on a couple, sat together and holding hands just ignoring the world around them and she gives a soft smile, lost in thought for a moment. perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
The suggestion was in character whilst out of character I know a cardinal rule is to never split the party. godelina nods, thinking on the group's decisions and ideas. She looks to Edan and gives a nod.
"I wasn't suggest we burst in, however I am at a loss as to how we could be allowed in without rising suspecion..." she thinks for a moment as she looks at 'Shari and Lanten for a moment as a idea comes to her mind. "You could pose as a couple, looking for a child. If there is anything odd going on, we would then have good reason to go in. You are right however, the druid would be easier unless you feel we should split up?"

Certainly not gonna argue with them. Besides, Godelina has no drive to get in their way if stuff does happen, unless it comes to blows or gets in the way of the mission. Would like to see if Edan is gonna push Godelina to admitting suspected feelings or not.
as per DM's suggestion I'll give a nudge here. Godelina looks to the group, noticing that 'Shari and Lanten appear to be somewhat distracted, though she doesn't bother to ask any awkward questions.
'Shari Velnokal wrote: O_O My face EXACTLY when i read the above. nice to see you back, btw :) Have to admit, when looking for a new character I was afraid that the new person wouldn't be very good or we'd get a terrible player, but looks like those fears were unfounded as Lanten has been great! Though this does beg the question...what are the boys going to do when they find they're both after the same girl? Or will this end up being a Polygamous relationship? We'll have to see who woos who, though my money is on Lanten as they seem to share conversations better and, Ramar is often more focused on other things, then again I could be wrong, just been so long to see a post from Ramar.

She shrugs at the question, not sure what to say. "I had my meal earlier. I'll just have water." she states quite simply. Godelina didn't know how to reply to 'Shari's question about last night. "There was nothing to recover from. Neither of us was wounded..."Edan Crosier wrote:
"If children are in danger, we best check out the orphanage. Even if they are not, it will be best that we investigate to make sure they are not, however if the drud has been acting strange he might know a few things or have become a danger." she states as she focuses on these tasks at hand, clearly putting all her thought power into it.
Godelina couldn't help but smile back. Something about the way he looked in the morning made her smile. Perhaps it was the way he kept together or that he managed to smile the way he did in the morning. She wasn't sure, but she found herself smiling in return, then blushing as she realised what she just did and cleared her throat.
for some reason, a image came into my head of her being painted first with her armour, then in a night dress and then without one. Making me think of that terrible Titanic movie.
The morning Godelina is dressed in her armour as before. She yawns, having had trouble sleeping, but not letting it take over. She waits outside Edan's room, leaning against the wall and looking at her black, wondering if the being inside might have the answer or her reflection in the blade. She wasn't up to talking about last night and hoped that Edan wasn't going to press the issue and get on with their job. After their lead went to a dead-end, she feels that they need to hurry up and get back to work.
Godelina was surprised ast Ushari's hug and wasn't quite sure to respond in a awkward manner, but lightly returned it. During their walk earlier she too was often glancing at him too discreatly, however it seems their eyes never met but remain curious of eachother. perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Seeing as Edan didn't knock on the door and hearing his door closed she lets out a sigh.
The dreams she experiences end up being quite intense. She has the choice to cut down somekind of evil, shadowy demon, however it's enveloped Edan and if she strikes with her sword, she'll possibly kill him too. Every bone in her body tells her to smite the evil no matter what the cost, but she cannot bring the blade down. because of her hesitation she watches as the creature grows larger, moves to envelope her and Edan begins to rot away infront of her. She wakes with a start in cold sweat and tears in her eyes, but she curls up again, deciding to try and get a good sleep, no matter what.
Post got eaten when Paizo went down. Also I assume their rooms are opposite of next to each other for this scene. On their way back to the temple alone, Godelina continues on her way with Edan. Once outside her room she turns to him as she unlcoks her door, biting her lip before finally saying.
Edan Crosier wrote: Edan managed an awkward smile, and glanced over at Ushari, trying to not look uncomfortable at the question. "I-- That is, I did not fare so well at dancing as you did", he said neutrally as he turned to make for the exit of the Dryad with some relief. Figuring out how things were being influenced around here was proving to be a greater challenge than he anticipated.. Maybe the druid would prove more beneficial when they went to talk to him? Godelina nods with a small smile. "That's good...Wait, why do I care?" she then proceeds to exit with Edan. "Shame, I would have loved to see you dance." "By the inheritor, why am I saying such things. We have work to do this is no time to...let emotions run wild. Must surpress or we will get disorganised.""what mean is, it is a shame as I am sure many lovely women would love to have seen you."
'Shari Velnokal wrote: 'Shari sighs in relief as 'Lina rejoins the group. "Well, 'Lina I think you did just fine there. Are you sure he knows more of what is going on in Saltmarsh than he is letting on?" Her eyes twinkle in mischief. "All I saw was a handsome man dancing with a beautiful lady!" She again yawns and turns to the gentlemen who served as their dates for this evening. "I suggest we all go get some rest and meet again for breakfast. Maybe we can track down some info on this 'Misterique' fellow." She gives 'Lina a wink. "Although it would not surprise me if he found you FIRST!" She just shrugs as she looks back at the now empty seat and uses detect evil at will. "He didn't show up evil when he first approched me, but it is possible to hide." she blushes as 'Shari talks about a beautiful woman dancing and shakes her head. "I merely followed his lead. I am not that attractive. I am merely a warrior of the inheritor."At the discussion of tracking him she gives another shrug.
"I am sorry for wasting all your time. I had hoped we would've found someone of interest in our investigations, but it appears as if I was wrong." as she looks back and sees that the man seems to have vanished into thin air she raises a eyebrow and turns back to the group "Or perhaps I did and I let him escape. I apologise again for wasting your time in this fruitless search. Inheritor give me strength, I feel like such a fool."
so nothing on my sense motive checks? Okey. At this she is clearly dissappointed.
With that, she gets up and makes her way towards Edan and the group.

oops, sorry forgot I was up. Godelina sighs, clearly he seems to be of no use to her at all. Glancing over at her friends and Edan especially she decides it is time to leave.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 That's the second 20 I've rolled in 2 minutes.
"What places have you traveled to in the past? Do you have any exciting plans while you are here?" she asks, curious if he's slip up or perhaps mention something she can keep probing gently to get any information that might incriminate him.
yeah, me too. 'Lina, not really sure how to persue questioning decides to try and be sly.
Godelina finds herself stuck in the dancing and quite amazed she can pull off half the moves that she's able to with him. Though she is more focused on the task at hand, she can't help but enjoy the attention for the first time in her life. In the past it was all about bottleing up such emotions and keeping yourself in check for evil can reveal itself at any moment, however for this moment she wasn't on guard. It felt great to be the centre of attention and to be marveled in awe not due to her armour or feats of faith, but simply for her looks or being special (the latter she chooses to believe) however so far it appears their approch hasn't bared much fruit.

Kinda waiting too :p
poor 'Lina, with 'Shari thinking about leaving :p Godelina is genuinly surprised by his words, but she tries to remain cool and curtious. She is a little worried about the prospect of a dance in her high heels, but she appears to have gotten a command of them.
Narrator of the lost Tomes wrote:
Good thing Godelina doesn't woreship the christian god, or she'd have to burn this place to the ground. Godelina for a moment thinks it best to lie, but knowing the danger of if he figured her out she decides to give her real name, hoping he didn't hear about her or atleast think it's a coincidence of names.
Why is my spidey-sense going off over that flower?
Can't stop laughing, reading 'Shari's and Lanten's talk about who possibly got 'Lina to act more lady like, not to mention the man eater who grabbed Edan. Godelina is a little surprised at a man who appears so finely dressed to be in this place, let alone asking for a her specifically. Noticing the codpeice she assumes that it's stuffed, though she never understood why men would stuff codpeices, though she assumed it was the same reason women suffed bras.
Since 'Lina has no Knowledge nobility, I'll leave it up to the DM if he's so notable everyone knows him or not. Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 This is to try and determin his intentions, though I think a blind catholic girl could probably guess them, but to also see if he is being truthful about the name he gives. Diplomacy to hopefully make sure she's stepping lightly and not being too personal for asking for a name: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 You watch this, next combat we get into I'll be rolling natural 1s :p
Sorry about that, I wasn't notified that there have been any posts for weeks and weeks. Also forgotten how the dress looks to bare with me if it isn't EXACTLY like it was described in the past. Before leaving: Godelina comes out after Edan has already arrived and seen 'Shari. Her clothing is something you would certainly never see a paladin wear under any circumstance. Her dress wasn't too revealing, but it did have exposed cleveledge and gripped to her shape in a tasteful way, giving her a look that would fit in with the Dryad based on what 'Shari said, but at the same time not wanting to reveal too much. It was a beautiful flowing blue dress that went well with her golden hair and eyes. She also had a matching pair of saphire earrings to go with it and was wearing, for the first time in her life, high-heeled shoes. After practicing with them for some time she appears to be standing up fine in them and able to keep her balance and effecting her posture as high-heels were designed to. As she notice's Edan she blushes and then clears her throat.
She steps over to Edan defiantely and grabs him arm so that it's locked with her's.
With that she heads off with Edan, keeping her head up and looking determined. Godelina remains well balanced, only once or twice not being used to the road, however she keeps her balance well and smiles towards 'Shari. She wouldn't say it outloud, but she is enjoying being dressed up for a change and attracting everyone's gaze. At the Dryad: Godelina wrinkles her nose at the sight of the events that are going on. "Such Chaos! Inheretor help us this might become of the town if things get much worse. Women dancing and showing no concern for their bodies." Godelina followed Edan and sat next to him, crossing her legs as she sat down, being careful how she sits and thinking that if she just sits there and looks like a average patron, she'd get hit by men who might wish to talk too much. Bluff to look conving, if required. Bonuses possibly for dress and makeup, ect 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 Godelina then had a thought as she leans over to Edan to whisper:
normally DC 15 to hear the details of a whispered conversation, but considering the loud noise it might be harder for anyone nearby. She takes a careful look around the room, wondering if any familiar faces will reveal themselves and possibly ruin tonight's plan or if she can catch the eye of someone who might be in on whatever's going down. with her seated potion her legs appear to be partially exposed, almost inviting vagabonds to give it a try. Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
'Shari Velnokal wrote: 'Shari gives her friend an encouraging smile. "Don't worry about it, 'Lina. The reason why women wear these heels is not for their own benefit but for the benefit of those men who like to watch the female form...move. " She giggles, "Of course, in your case, I would stay very close to Edan when we go there." She pulls a braid in her mouth and absentmindedly chews on it. "I would not try to run in them yet though...Probably want to take them off first, he he." "What do you mean the female form? How do shoes help that?" she askes, unaware of how high heels alter the perception of a woman's body "eitherway, I certainly wouldn't run with them on. I can't imagine why anyone would."
Godelina seems to struggle with the heels, though with help from 'shari she appears to be getting a better grasp at how a woman is expected to walk in these things.
Dex: 1d20 ⇒ 14 Just saying i'm still here and paying attention.
'Lina, wanting to make the best impression follows 'Shari to find a pair of heels and to then practive as 'Shari's tavern, in her room or at the temple, which ever is closest. It's obvious 'Lina has never worn them before and tries her best at balance. dex: 1d20 ⇒ 8 Once or twice it appears as if she's about to fall over, but after half an hour of practicing she seems to have it down. I hope half an hour is realistic. I was thinking an hour would be too much.
'Shari Velnokal wrote:
Godelina smiles as she starts wondering if it won't be too hard to walk in the high heels. She blushes a deep red when 'Shari mentions that Edan would love her in any of those dresses. "He does- I mean he will?" she asks, biting her lip nervously. "That...would be nice to know." she merely nods, though it's obvious she's trying to ignore that trail of thought. "I'll take the blue one then, since you insist."
'Shari Velnokal wrote: 'Shari giggles, "Yes, she would look like a ghost in that dress! Like she needs any more help in attracting attention to herself! I was thinking of something in a shade of blue..." As she continues explaining what 'Lina would look nice in, she returns to the black satin gown and holds it against her slender body. "We have a date at The Dryad later this week, and we need to look our best for our dates!" She emphasizes the last word for 'Lina's benefit. "Also, we'll need new shoes, of course!" Godelina nods when being told she'd look like some kind of apparition in that dress. She listens to what 'Shari says, still clueless about their dates but at the mention of shoes she has a quizzical look on her face. "What's wrong with my boots?" she asks. Currently she is wearing boots that come magically with the armour but you have seen her normal boots which are a pair of old rough leather boots. Fine footware if you're a man who spends his days in a tavern, but certainly not lady-like. "Do you mean those high heeled things? I've never worn them before and will need to learn how to balance."
