Masterful Demeanour:As a proud Chelaxian, you are confident that members of other, inferior races will obey you, and quickly. You gain a +3 trait bonus on Intimidate checks against members of non-human humanoid races.
Touched by the Sea: You’ve always felt the call of the sea and your blood surges with the ebb and flow of the tides. Perhaps one of your parents was a sailor or pirate, or maybe one of your ancestors had a bit of aquatic elf or undine blood in them. Whatever the reason, you’re as comfortable in the water as you are on land. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Swim checks and Swim is a class skill for you. In addition, penalties on attack rolls made underwater are lessened by 1.
You came to Port Peril in search of your destiny, and after a few drinks at a tavern called the Formidably Maid, you went down to the docks to take in a view of the sea. The last thing you remember is a blow to the back of your head and the waves rushing up to meet you.

Background:
Giudhikaël (Gi-ud-YI-ka-el) was born 23 years ago as the oldest son of the Chelaxian nobleman Lurconar Glaztri - Parabaron of Shardstone (an large island on Cheliax's western coast). Brought up expecting to one day inherit his father's title, his life changed two years ago when it came to the Thrune court's attention that the Glaztris weren't as loyal as they claimed - Lurconar had been plotting to throw off the rule of Cheliax and declare himself king of the Western Isles, instead he ended his life on one of the tines in Egorian's Plaza of Flowers after a co-conspirator in the Chelaxian navy (a captain named Adalert Ramis) betrayed him in return for his duchy.

Giudhikaël and his family had no choice but to leave Cheliax quickly, taking as many of their retainers as the wealth they brought with them allowed them to afford, hurriedly making their way to Sargava where an estate was bought, and they tried to take up the life of merchants.

Giudhikaël has no illusions about being able to reclaim his father's title, and has instead done his best to build up a family operation trading tropical fruits for Rahadoumi goods. He was in Port Peril to gain an audience with the Hurricane King, in an attempt to secure safe passage for the family's two cogs when he decided to go for a drink or two a the Formidably Maid - what happened after that he's still not entirely sure of.

AppearanceAbout 5 feet 9 inches tall without his boots on, and weighing in at about 180 pounds, Giudhikaël would not stand out in a crowd were it not for the handsome, brown-eyed face which is framed by a dark page-cut hairstyle.

PersonalityGiudhikaël is a people person, at his best with a goblet of wine in one hand, a fair maid on his arm, and a crowd listening to him lay out the text on whatever is the current topic for the young and fashionable to discuss that week.

The exile of his family and death of his father has made him turn somewhat more serious, though, and while he's still a natural centre of attention at festivities, he's now got a hard core of determination to make the Thrunes and their followers pay in whatever way he can - he may not be able to wrest "his family's" islands back from the grasp of the diabolists, but any mischief he can cause them will be welcomed.

The betrayal of his father has also served to make him a fraction less trusting of strangers, Chelaxian strangers at least, but he still treats most people he don't know as friends he's yet to meet.

The habit of his that's most off-putting to others is that he's still not quite gotten rid of the entitlement common to one who is nobly born, and he sometimes give other people orders as if it's only natural that he is to be obeyed and followed.
