DM/Lavinia:

Ghirrak holds Lavinia in a close embrace, returning her kisses passionately.

"I'd be lying if I said it didn't burn a bit touching that thing, it essentially starts digesting you the second you touch it, which is pretty disgusting."

He reaches up to brush a lock of hair out of her face, looking deep into her eyes as he smiles.

"But I'm fine now sweetheart, and more importantly the innocents on board are safe, ironically, you're responsible for us being able to react in time. A dream about you made it....difficult to sleep, it's why I was up on deck trying to cool off."

Without a word Ghirrak scoops Lavinia up in his powerful arms, holding her close as she sobs into his chest.

"I'm alright darling, it'll take far more that some acid jelly to get rid of me," he says with a smile as he looks into her eyes.

Ghirrak takes a moment to make sure the women are all okay belowdecks.

Heal1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

"Are any of you hurt?" he rumbles calmly.

So is Grirrak grappled?

Ghirrak attempts to grasp and lift the woman by the waist, using his height to lift her clear of the ooze and put her down behind him.
Grapple1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21

Not moving. Iron Limb defense makes Ghirrak's AC 26 this round

In stony silence Ghirrak storms through the doorway diving forwrd into the vile ooze to grab at the women, attempting to drag them free.

Diving in, Grapple 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29 to take hold of one of the women

"Stabbing does some damage, cutting more but we need fire! It dissolves weapons.Ghirrak yells, looking around for a source of pitch or oil.

Perception1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

That makes Ghirrak's grapple 25 or 29 if Dgrim's strength is added to pull him free

Ghirrak stands fast, like stone keeping Dgrim in place.

Using Bastion Stance which meand Ghirrakk cannot be moved until his turn next round.

Adding Ghirrak's str bonus makes the check an 18 or Ghirrak's counter grapple to pull Dgrim free 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23

Ok, spend 1 ki point to add 20 ft to speed (60) then make double move, (120) 1/2 due to difficilt terrain so total movement of 60' as full round action

Ghirrak dashes across the deck to grab hold of Dgrim.

Speed is 40 or 80 if double move needed. Let me know if I can attempt to grab him and what I should roll

Ghirrak walks the deck before the crash, hoping the cool night air will cool the passions of his dreams.

Ghirrak will take the occasional night watch due to his darkvision

DM

Spoiler:

Ghirrak awakens in the middle of the night covered in sweat, his pulse pounding. For another consecutive night he finds himself at the mercy of intense erotic dreams centered on Lavinia, the very thought of them triggering a stirring in him once again.

The usually centered monk wanted nothing more than to take her in his arms and take her to heights of extacy. It seemed the extended voyage was having a stronger effect on him than he would have expected.

Glad to have a room to himself, his mind wanders to the other ship, wondering if she was in the midst of the same dream and sensations.

"While that is true, don't you think she's been through enough right now? If he was completely unaware of what his actions were, he's not truly their killer. I'd say fake his death then cut him loose, he has a decent chance of making something worthwhile of his life, but not more of a chance than he deserves."

Ghirrak nodded at Annie's assessment.

"There is also the possibility that the "girls" chasing him are the ones we took out last night.

1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

Ghirrak focuses on the work to the exclusion of his surroundings.

Wisdom check 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Ghirrak stares along the ship for a few moments, his perceptive mind recaalling the different actions required to set off. With a nod to himself he goes iinto action, in many places doing the work of two men as her worked to bring the sails around to catch the night wind.

We should be gone before the authorities get here." Ghirrak says, putting the shuriken into a pouch on his belt.

Ghirrak runs his mind through the movements of the women, the tell-tale signatures of style that would give him some insight as to their origin but to no avail.

Wisdom check 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 D'OH!

So that's 8 shiriken in all, 2 of which are +1? Awesome since Ghirrak can flurry with them.

Ghirrak searches the first opponent he dropped, remebering the recognition in her eyes.

If she's wearing a mask he removes it

As Bryson's attack connects Ghirrak strikes aa vicious combination of pinpoint strikes with crippling impact.

%#@! ninjas threw shuriken at me. It's on!

Ghirrak stared into the darkness seeking the source of the shuriken.

"Watch your backs these are professionals we're dealing with.

Perception w/ darkvision1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

Ghirrak explodes down the alleyway, heading directly for the flash of light.

"Armed an dangerous! BE READY!" He calls out in warning to his friends.

Ghirrak frowns at the mention of the missing rat poison. "There's definitely something weird going on here, everybody keep their eyes open."

Ghirrak quietly accepts the rebuff, leaving the room in silence, eyes searching the rest of the cast of characters that had attended the dinner.

"Just before everything went mad, one of the bottles over on the table popped as if it had been opened."

He moves over to it, picking one of them up and turning it over in his hands.

"Calistrian celebration. Looks like somone planted these here to create chaos."

Realizing the importance of preserving not just Lavinia's modesty, but her status on this voyage, Ghirrak whispers back, "Dive."

Taking advantage of the water breathing spell, he takes them beneath the surface again, slipping out of the shirt of his monk's garb and wrapping it around her waist, removing his belt to secure the impromptu sarong.

With a quick kiss, he focuses use 1 ki point to increase his speedand having Lavinia grasp him around the neck breaks the surface swimming to the boat in powerful strokes to grap the edge and hoist them both halfway out of the water, allowing Lavinia to board the boat herself.

Ghirrak kicks powerfully, diving deeper and wrapping an arm around Lavinia as he makes for the surface.

Everything seems to slow for Ghirrak as he hears Lavinia's scream. Around him ish subconscious registers the rest of the battle, the fire, Bryson about to kill the Mephit Ghirrak had attacked, the stinking cloud forming...... then he was in motion, a blur of movement creating a path of air behind him that made the cloud spell less than an afterthought as he ran across the deck, jumping to the rail and launching into a dive that took him right towards his paramour and the idiots who had endangered her.

Breathing deeply of the sea air, Ghirrak walk quitly to the prow of the ship, his sharp eyes locked on the Blue Nixie.

Ghirrak quietly studies the nobleman seeking any ulterior motive in his disruption.

Awesome!

With the touch AC, high saves, speed, mobility, stunning and combat maneuvers monks make amazing mage killers.

If you want to look at this profile its a monk I'm playing in a game right now who's damn near impossible to hit, and a grapple monster.

Definitely

Agreed

I'll toss 1000 in

One vote for Savage Kraken!

Dgrim wrote:

How much does it cost to fix the ship?

A basic set of used cordage and sails will go for 2,000 crowns.

A complete set of new spars, sails, cordage, tar and spares for it all will go for 10,000 crowns.

I could live with Savage Kraken

Ghirrak chuckles quietly, returning the squeeze with one of his own.

"Vice..that's one way to put it. How about terminally allergic to the mundane?" he grins at his companions.

The half orc's clothing, while still simple is of a much higher quality fabric, rich to the eye. A silver periapt sits atop his strong brow, a star sapphire occasionally winking in the light.

Absolutely, Ghirrak will just give enemies something to worry about while Annie gets them back on their feet.

Leveled. Swapped throw anything with Blood Vengance, if any member of the party drops Ghirrak rages.

Ghirrak alternates his time between establishing contacts amonggst Zelkarune's horns and other Champions district connections, and providing comfort and support for Lavinia.

He trains at other times, developing powerful defensive techniques and intensifying his bond with his friends.
