Eldon tears through the remains of the ship, the hold still in one piece as he expected. Reaching his private quarters, he began tearing apart the desk. Eldon has always been prepared, it was the way of things for him when he was younger, and had saved him several times.

The top of the desk removed, the side panels taken off, a small arsenal of weapons lays out before him. "People like those fancy pulse rifles, mass-produced pieces of garbage. Now these are weapons!" Each one a custom piece, he had transported this collection for years, cleaning and polishing in his spare time. There wasn't much ammunition sadly, only so much room available. He strapped two of the pistols onto his belt and loaded the one rifle in the collection. Finally he takes the centerpiece of the collection. The weapon was designed to launch an explosive shell at a high velocity, penetrate heavy armor before detonating. Only three had been made, considered obsolete at the time of their manufacture. Eldon understood why, other weapons were capable of greater damage output, or cheaper to make. Some even safer. But he had managed to get ahold of one. And six of the shells for it. He wanted to save it for a special occasion, and this was about as special as it would get.

Reaching in, he retrieved another useful item, and old set of two-way radios. The frequency it used wasn't used much anymore, so there was a chance Ryuko couldn't listen in on it. At least that was his hope. Stashing them on his person he begins to close the lid when he notices one of his collection was missing. At that moment he heard it, the sound of a gun being cocked. Eldon tries to look non-chalant, continuing putting things away, before turning, drawing his own weapon as he does, and taking his shot....

When the giants came, Eldon was in the hall as he had been since Ryuko left. The others had been active, attempting to find someway of escape. He wanted to help, felt he should help. But for too long he had not seen real action. Oh sure, he was on the field, commanding troops. But not on the front lines. Not under threat of death. Not like this.

So while the others worked, he had been working on contingencies, plans in case the ones the others had not worked out, plans in case of unexpected events. Plans like giants encircling the island.

The general looked at them, seeing Vorian head to his ship. A decent idea, but he was certain Ryuko would be prepared in such an event. How would Ryuko act? What could Eldon do to help?

Eldon's gaze turned to his own ship, the Earthfallen Grace. She was a decommissioned warship, almost as old as Eldon. Most of her weapons had been removed, her systems not useable with these newer models. And the attack had taken it's toll. She wouldn't be flying again.

But she was well designed, when they didn't skimp on such things. The outside was a mangled mess, but the interior would have survived that assault. Eldon smiled at the thought. The others had talked about the antiques they brought with them. Eldon had a few himself, though he expected it was of a different variety. He makes his way to the fallen relic.

I just finished reading the gameplay thread, and I'm working on a post now actually. I must say things have taken some strange twists. I like it!

I'll give the gameplay thread a quick read-through then, and throw a post up. Thanks very much, glad to become a part of this!

Greetings all. Received a PM to head over this way, and I must say it's pretty awesome that you all continued on! Even though I had troubles getting posts in last game, I loved reading it all! I'd love to join in if still possible.
