Background

Spoiler:
Geddoe grew up in the alleyways of a small city of Varisia, alongside the homeless, the diseased, and the elves. In order to do his part in supporting his family (his mother and his two brothers), Geddoe pickpocketed along the outskirts of the more affluent areas of the city. He did this until his fifteenth year, when plague struck, and took his mother and youngest brother. Now chased for his part in a bungled robbery, he and his remaining brother, Ander, who was twelve at the time, left the city and wandered from hamlet to hamlet.

This would not be the first time that his lack of foresight forced him to abandon his home.

After three years of travel, they arrived at a large town, where Ander impressed a master carpenter, and was quickly recruited as an apprentice. This overjoyed Geddoe, mostly due to pride, but, in some part, because this meant he didn't have to support two mouths.

In less than two years, he would find himself going to a larger city, in order to escape the long and irritated arm of the law. He thrived in the city, gaining quite a bit of wealth, until disaster struck in his twenty-second year, when he robbed the wrong man, and came away with a handful of gold, and a useless trinket (it looked good from a distance!)

Geddoe is well known for his skill at breaking and entering, his intelligence, and a knack for escaping sticky situations. Unfortunately, he is just as well known for his lack of sense and poor awareness.
