Had the same problem for the last few days myself.

I am still here actually, been popping in to check what's happening every once in a while, was sad when you guys stopped. I would be willing to make a reappearance if needed :)

You could always consider partial memory loss, only forgetting the last few weeks (or appropriate time) and then dropping memory fragments on the players during their sleep to coax them into the right direction, particularly if they have a crystal fragment with them.

Either way I am sorry to see it end. I hope to play it if you get to start over.

Sorry storm blew out our router, had to replace. She preps comprehend languages in place of magic weapon.

That evening during prayer/meditation/contemplation that she goes through every night(some details being filled in on the fly when memory fails) she contemplates how she might use magic to understand the book somehow knowing that the answer would come to her.

She spends her watch of the night reading the book in detail.

edit; doh! its my domain spell. I forgot about domains. I guess I don't need to replace magic weapon after all, however in character she has no reason to examine the book until nightfall anyway though she starts during dinner and finishes on her watch if nothing is immediately apparent during dinner.

Would like to note that read magic is not comprehend written languages. It allows reading of spells (like from a spellbook or scroll, generally for prepping or casting them), glyphs, and magical inscriptions on items (like to discover the command word, etc). I am not sure a research journal counts (though the spell at the end for the circle would become readable)

This evening I can switch to comprehend languages and then read it as well.

I think I am just missing what else to do with them. Touch and you can get visions, they glow when near each other, what else should be tried?.

What ever goal you want us to reach should almost always have at least three methods to discover. I think you want us to have the awesome idea you think about the crystals but you need another couple of ways to either discover the information or to circumvent needing the info.

I was expecting (and trying to get) something, though not sure what to expect (though I figured a vision would be likely and I also thought the crystals might interact, though that proves not).

Gaza takes the crystals and holding them with her gloves on, and touches them together to see what happens.

If nothing happens she will prepare herself(and take off the gloves) and when ready for the vision of other people(and their lightning bolts) she will touch both crystals simultaneously.

"Sounds good but lets sketch this circle for future reference before we deface it, unless you want to leave it with only a minor break in the circle? Should make it useless while leaving it mostly intact, Of course the girl you saw may have used it to go through to the other side which would be why she is not here. If that is the case we may want to have this available later."

"Not in the crystals, they are visions... or a link to somewhere. Yes, a link to somewhere makes more sense after this second crystal. A way to see somewhere without being there I think, though I can't be sure."

Gaza puts the crystals in her pack for now.

"We can study these more later for now lets examine this building and see what else we can find. You should take that book it might be useful later." She points to the book that spelled out the experiments.

LOL No asked me for my name yet! oh well.

"I must touch it again, after I prepare myself first. I saw people, like the first crystal, only these people were talking and one of them hit me with lightning."

Gaza stood back up immediately but simply wrapped the two crystals in cloth for now.

edit; well dang, not the kind of save I would prefer to fail, but I guess this one is not as dangerous though.

She will share what she sees if she sees something either way it will join the other in her bag(assuming no one asks for this one).

I will compare the two crystals and even touch them together to see if anything happens.

I will also ask if anyone recognizes the language of the book.

Gaza walks in behind Rona and carefully looks around, examining everything carefully and looking for other exits to this room, and hiding places(for stuff that might be hidden, since she doesn't know about the woman).

That's alright. The harrow would make a nice playing deck but it doesn't even have arcanas. I like the tarot as a focus for religion because the tarot has many of the same lessons in them.

doesn't the harrow deck have 6 suits of 9? That sounds more like playing cards, guess I will have to take a look at them.

edit; ok I looked them up. I don't like them, they are all right for fortunetelling but contain little wisdom. I will stick with tarot.

Key and hammer? I have no idea what cards you are talking about but I use tarot just cause I know them and they have the sort of stories and history to make them suitable for this. Guess that could be why she doesn't know the pictures. hmmm.

I just realized that you Rona are a tactician, you should be the most suspicious of us all. So Im curious how you end up so trusting?

Looked up Divs and turns out that I'm neither demon nor devil though either is close enough for general use. Divs are neutral evil outsiders like daemons(who added them as evil) but not related to daemons somehow.

Gaza whispers back to him, "First a binding can easily land you as her slave for eternity, or worse, second she and us know that we dont know what info she is looking for so since that means we will have to go find it anyway, you not knowing anything doesn't help or protect you."

Gaza addressing the demon girl, "So, what say you? Shall you let us know what info you are looking for so if we find it we can return to you with it?"

"Ha ha ha, You assume then that making a trade now to be completed later is wise, it isn't. I would be fine with discovering information and bringing it back to get what you can give, cause then I would have something to trade. That way, if I end up not finding said information I then wouldn't have to bother coming back at all, and wouldn't be leaving any unfilled oaths."

Gaza walks around the corner, "I will not partake of any binds, I will consider a trade, and though I do not trust you, neither do I seek to make an enemy. However, I trust binds far less then words, so why don't you make a trade proposal then, so that we may consider that? Surely one such as yourself would not trust us any more then we trust you anyway."

I asked her about her people because referring to "my people" does not always indicate leadership, it can simply mean the others that person associates as part of ones community.

IC, so what gave you the racials? one mentions fiendish and the other says aasimar. Just curious where that came from so I could look at that for future characters.

looking back My last post may have seemed negative in tone but it was meant entirely as curious.

so PF has bloodlines now? like from 3.5 unearthed arcana? or is this some other bloodline thing?

I'm curious Noya how an aasimar can be touched by an evil being. Are not aasimar the "good" beings?

Gaza doesn't actually think of herself as a truly demonic but finds it interesting that the other girl doesn't at all seem worried about the comments of being a demon. She is also twisting the concept just a little as she remembers only the gist of what a demon is.She does remember that noone can be judged on what, only who.(Its part of the Crimson Scales scripture.)

"What about the bear demon?"

Are you talking about Gaza? I didn't think she gave any indication that she remembered anything. No one has even asked her name yet(she hasn't thought about it herself, her self image is more of a feeling then a word and such feelings don't always run on memories)

To note, I kept the crystal shard we found since noelse has claimed it (unless I missed something)

GM would like to know whether you consider the rope dart an addition to the mnk list or not. Still using either way but need to know of penalties if applicable

Well Gaza says "we" when talking about what demons like and Ronin doesn't think of that given the big shapeshifting bear and everything? And given that Gaza is a tiefling? wow she's prettier then I thought. lol

She is perched, eating out of sight but ready to launch into action. She has also gotten out the rope dart.

The rope dart is a monk weapon but Im unsure if it was added to the monks prof list as pfsrd only has core book info for the mnks profs(as evidenced by the cestus desc stating that it is added but the monks desc doesnt give mention. it would be nice to know if she will take negs on atks with the rope dart)

Gaza pops into view, "Right cause demons are so terribly bad, we eat eye jelly on our toast and use powdered bone instead flour when making our bread and use human skin for coin bags and purses, well I like elf skin better but then again human skin is more durable." she says in a cheerful voice as though its normal, and being more thoughtful with that last sentence.

"Actually now that I'm awake I think now is a good time for a snack."
She disappears from the view of the girl and grabs a bit of food and sits out of view eating and listening.

I also have a couple of questions for special stuff,
1. Can I buy handwraps and enchant them to enchant my unarmed strikes?

2. If I buy adamantine shuriken, will they break after 1 use?(according to rules yes but it doesn't make sense that a chunk of pure adamantine would be unusable just cause it lodged itself in someones eye.)

3. How about if shuriken were enchanted?

(the enchanted shuriken is future planning depending on answer)

no cause those costs are the cost of the weapon, the 2000 is the cost of the enchantment not the weapon itself.
