Sounds fine to me.
Yeah, man. Thinkin' of you and sending well wishes.
Well, this just sounds like all kinds of fun. Count my meagre rendering skills in for the ride!
I'm approaching done on Kells. Were you wanting us to add the +2, or just leave stats the way they were, Kayos? I'm cool either way!
In moving him away from the Paladin of Freedom, I have made him in the service of Bahamut. The caring for the weak and poor is a theme that resonates with Kells.
I'll sit down tonight or tomorrow to get Kells reconsiled into the Pathfinder rules. I'll have a little bit of time to catch up on what has been happening in the game since we offed the beetles. Great to be in the saddle with him again, thanks!
Hey Kayos!
Good to see you again. The game had pretty much fallen off my radar, but I'm more than happy to return to it and take up Kells again if you all are interested! And I am more than happy to change to the Pathfinder rule set.

It's a good review... too short, I agree, but it has quality info.
You have a good technical description and analysis style that shows a strong grasp of the market. I'm guessing that the majority of what you cut was also some of the more technical assessments of the product?
You're analysis of what is pro vs. con is helpful to the general public. For people with little/no exposure to AE (like me) you let me know that it is a solid product, but might not have a place in my game so I should think twice about spending my money on something that might, despite it's strenghts, leave me cold. If you are leaving a generally positive review, one can assume the review hopes for the success of the product. A carefully worded review that lets a potential buyer know that the product might not be for them can help stave off a negative review.
For me, I'm open to the 'emotional' type of review, too. "This product was absolutely the best because..." Not just gush, mind you, giving me actual substance, but in more visceral terms. It may not carry quite as much weight, but I'll still give it consideration.
I use them, most certainly. Since my FLGS market is a bit slim, I end up getting a fair amount sight unseen. If it's someone who seems very games knowledgeable from the site, it'll carry more weight. If it's poorly written, it carries less (even if that's a bit unfair). If it's Heathy, I just roll my eyes and scroll on(Zing!)
Even if it is something I'm wanting and feel my life will be incomplete without, I'll check out the reviews.
Alright then...
I have a double room reserved from Thurday night through Monday morning.
I am a 36 year old male, good hygene, no major odious personal habits (that anyone has brought to my attention). I do snore some, but mostly when my allergies are aggrivated. Looking for one similar person to share the room with. Reply here or drop me a line at haka21@yahoo.com if you want to share the room.

I'm going to be there! I'm paid up for the con, my airfair, and the hotel. Locked, loaded, ready to roll my dice!
I have a double room reserved at the Con site. Are you officially planning on rooming with me, Yoda, or are you still shopping around?
Mark/Yoda-
I am taking your post seriously. I'll be there, I have a double room reserved already if you want to go halvesies. I have it set for Thursday through to Monday morning checkout. See ya there, in any event.
I have check-ed yon schedule booke and, lo, I am free to partake of the plentitude of gaming.
I think that I will be, too. I'm checking into my availability.
Oh Chris, hast thou forsaken us? If you are just having posting trouble or time trouble let us know. I would hate for this game to end!
I love you guys and miss you, but I don't get to spend as much time here as I would like.
I wish you all nothing but good things and prosperity.

;)
The way the pollen count has been this year, I wish I had bilge pumps installed in my headspace!
As an exercise in sarcasm and nothing else...
Dallas would be acceptable. In Houston you would have to invest too heavily in bilge pumps for your floorspace.
I am incredibly honored that you liked my dream of mech ownership. I do intend to create a monument to Edward Abbey out of the twisted remains of Exxon's corporate offices.
I would happily kick my mom in the face if you would move the political crap away from Off-Topic. That's one of the main reasons I've just been staying away. It's like watching a very frustrating trainwreck.
My hometown, Albion, Illinois, claims that it is the Chowder Capitol of the World. There is an annual Chowder Festival where, in the non-OSHA-bound, less letigious past everyone would bring some food for the chowder kettels (fresh garden vegitables, fresh meat inlcuding squirrel and rabbit, etc). It was really very good. Now it's pretty much an insiped blend of canned vegies and salt.
My home county, Edwards, was once the lagest county in the Illionis territory. It extended all the way up to the Canadian border!
I'm putting in my Leave Request form tomorrow. Er... checking the time... today!
Even being vocally opposed to 4e, there is no shedenfreude here. This is very, very sucky indeed and ass-tastically sucky timing. Prayers for good situations coming to the good folks let go.

Yes, that is the way the past two years have gone. As you mentioned in the clan post, last year was a Borg themed Crimbo, the year before that it was a Horror themed one... skeletal reindeer, tinsel monsters (or some such), good stuff. Always a treat seeing what they are going to mash up.
I still have a cup of nanite-infested eggnog and I still love to use my robo-swarmers on special occasions.
Hey guys, I'm still around, but my time is really under stress the past couple of months. I'm only able to get on ever few days... which is why I gave Moff full administrative capabilities. I don't think that there is anything I can do that he can't. I'm glad to hear that things are going well for y'all, though.
Dammit!! Still no curator/archaeologist job opening, I see. I don't know what to think about you people some times...
Friday afternoon would be bad for me, I have a wedding to attend and Saturday evening is my DeadLands campaign at home. But Thursday and/or Saturday morning would probably be very good.
Happy Mona Day!! Mona bless us, every one!
EDIT: Happily, I remembered the preparations for today and have my Monayata hung up from the tree for the kids to whack at and I have the side walk lined with the illuMonaries. It will be beautiful tonight when we light them up.
Sorry for the lateness, but VERY BIG CONGRATS to the two of you!!!!!

Just a suggestion.

Surely we all of us are biased in one sense or another when it comes to other cultures and beliefs. This is certainly true. And if you are a good anthropologist, you will understand that you can minimize, but never obliviate your biases. It is better to try to understand the biases that you have than rid yourself of them.

Penguini!!!!
I'm in CMT and anything past 8:30 on Mon-Fri or Sunday is negotiable. I cannot commit to anything during the daylight hours, I'm afraid.
Sorry I forget to check this thread :S

And I'll look into the bookcase.

Congrats on the assent. I played an Accordian Thief with my other account and really didn't care for it. I think a part of it was just not being part of a group and having a good handle on the buff capabilities.
Kayos... I'm having trouble getting onto IC from my hotel computer, could you roll init for me? It's a +0 modifier.

Just as a reminder... I am taking off on a two week trip starting tomorrow. I should have internet access at my hotel, but we have some 12 hour days scheduled, so I may be a bit late in posting some times. If I have not posted in good time, please move me as you see fit, Chris. I don't anticipate any issues, but good to be able to account for them.
Check out your local library to see if they have any of his books on CD.
I'm sure you are no stranger to optimization... do you have any of the jewelry that will do cold or ignore heat damage or usinga phail of hotness to give you flameform?
It is very, very good. And again, it is absolutely excellent if you can find it on CD. Bryson does the reading and the time melts away.
Bryson is very good. He is especially good at reading his own work. If you have the chance to hear hes stuff at books on tape/cd, take it. I'm never disappointed by him.
He has a great description of the exploits of Ned Kelly in Sunburned Country, that makes me chuckle just thinking about it.

I have to say, the main Final Crisis story isn't really jazzing me that strongly... I've said it before, but Grant Morrison needs to be kept off of the DC mainline. He's better at Vertigo flavored stuff. but there are some other things that DC is putting out that I am loving.
JSA, just one of the best damn book in comic-dom. I always read through the issues at least 2 or 3 times. Great characters, great stories, great sense of history and sense of promise.
Final Crisis: Rogues, Revenge. Again, a comic with a supremely strong sense of place. DC is best when it pays attention to where its characters have been and why they are where they are. The Rogues exemplify this. I'm not a huge Flash fan, but any time you have the Rogues as the central theme, I'm aboard!
Final Crisis: Revalations. It started a little slow but I'm liking the direction. I enjoyed the Anti-Life Equasion. I like Renee as the Question (even though I do mis Vic), and as the 'leader' of the Crime Bible Cultists. It has a lot of potential.
DC Universe Decisions: Looks interesting, good premise. First issue was a little choppy, but, then again, I don't think limited series should be under 8 issues most of the time. Guy Gardner is apparently a big fig in the next issue, so that should be a fun way to rub Ollie the wrong way.
Batman Confidential. Kevin Maguire might just be God.
BTW, in the PFRPG book, I wasn't able to find any info on what happens if a familiar is killed... Did I just overlook it, or is it not addressed? If not, do you hold that the effects are the same as in 3.5?

Martaug though that it was a familiar and raven familiars tend to be able to talk. If it worked, (and of course, if Martaug was right) it might have been a source of free and valuable info. If I had been more careful I would have realized the range was bad and wouldn't have burned a spell. I'm just irritated with myself that I was more slip-shod than I should have been.
Sorry about Martaug's dumb-ass move, everyone... I reminded myself of an important PbP rule, though. When you are getting ready to post an action, go back and look to make sure you have everything right. I had seen the raven and he seemed significant (like a familiar) so I tried to cast Charm Animal on him. I had looked at the PF description for the spell and got it stuck in my head that he was within casting distance. If I had gone back and reread Chris's posts, I wouldn't have wasted the spell and the action. I'll try not to be so lax in the future...Look twice, post once.
