Garris will return home, and prep his equipment for his next hunt. He will then go to bed. In the morning, he will check on the family.

Aye, I have had a run in with some lycanthrope, and the others which you speak of. The forest is quite dangerous, and without a trail to follow, it would be foolhardy for us to venture in too deep.

Undead are not terribly uncommon in the Ashwood, but I don't know that I've seen five Elven skeletons travelling together. And why this house? Was it just luck of the draw, or were they sent here for a reason?

I concur, we should head back to the house, and regroup. We may want to move the family into town before we pursue the origins of this attack.

Garris full attacks the remaining skeleton. and no, I haven't been adding my favored enemy bonus. Doh!

Sword attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Dmg 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Sickle attack1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

dmg 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Confirm Crit Sword 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

dmg 1d6 ⇒ 4

Confirm Crit Sickle 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

dmg 1d6 ⇒ 2

Do I get damage bonuses on crits? Oh, and seriously 3 crits in a row. I never have that good of luck with this dice roller.

Garris charges the closest skeleton.

Attack with Short Sword 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Dmg 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Confirm Crit 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Dmg 1d6 ⇒ 5

Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Garris accompanies Calon out of the house, scanning the ground for any sign of Percy's passing.

Garris follows Rougas to the house, keeping his eyes and ears peeled.

Garris swings at the remaining skeleton.

Short Sword 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Sickle 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Garris will delay his next move until the end of the round.

Garris swings at the closest skeleton with his sword, and then attempts a trip with his scythe.

Seeing how Rougas is approaching directly, Garris decides not to risk getting there to late to assist, and approaches with Rougas directly.

"I agree, there appear to be skeleton like figures at the farm. I will approach them as quietly as possible and see if I can take them by surprise. Anyone with me?"

Garris had just taken his first sip of ale as Caroline had stumbled into the room. He gathered with the crowd as close as he could.

knowledge local1d20 ⇒ 9

He didn;t really know her all that well, and so had no clue what she was going on about, but as Jannet and the others ran out the door, he had a strong urge to follow.

Good thing I brought my sword and scythe with me. I probably shouldn't have left my bow at home.

"As expected for the time of year. I've been getting a lot of grief lately for being out too long, but I'd rather not make the trek back into town if I have no kills. Seen any omens or signs lately as to how the crops might be turn out this year?"

Garris had arrived back in Biston early that morning. While heading back to his home with tow wolf carcasses, and three hares, he heard the news of the discounted drinks that would served at the Stomping Squat. As soon as he got home, he cleaned himself up and went to sleep, asking his mother to wake him for lunch.

After lunch, he assisted her with cleaning of the hares. His father was already out selling the wolf pelts. Shortly before sunset, he heads to the Stomping Squat. He sees the arm wrestling in the corner, and smiles at the celebration. He sees Jannet at the bar ordering a drink. Looks like she just arrived as well.

He approaches the bar. "Good evening Jannet. Happy new year. Danny, I'll have me one of the ales as well. By the way, I caught some hare last night. It was just prepped, so if you want to pick it up in the morning, feel free."

I'm just glad your keeping us up to date on your status.

I would agree that Garris and Jannet would know each other. I would suspect that Garris has run into Rougas at least a few times, as he would have need of the blacksmith on occasion. Calon, being an elf and a stranger in town would attract enough attention that he would at least be aware of his presence.

That's how I felt about it when I decided to choose undead. The other logical choice would have been lycanthrope, but I think I'll hold that for the second favored enemy, unless of course we move on to another place where they would not be found.

As far as meeting the rangers, my thought is that he wandered too deep into the forest on a hunting trip, and found himself being stalked by a group of werewolves. Lucky for him, they were being stalked by the Knights, and they struck just in time. Unfortunately, saving Garris prevented them from finding this particular group of werewolve's lair, which was the Knights' goal.

Does undead make sense for my favored enemy? I know it makes sense for my background, but I'd hate to have it there, and never run into any undead.

Checking in. I think my character is ready to go.

Being that its a smallish town, I would expect so. Maybe Jannet is one of his friends he meets at the tavern now and then.

Added a little to the background.

Updated background. Would you like more?

I'd like to add Garris for consideration.
