Background:

Garric was the product of a union between an elven noble and his human mother, Lazara, a protector of the forests. Her pregnancy had been a disgrace and she had been forced to raise him in a cabin in the wilderness,. Unfortunately, Garric's father disappeared when he was 2 years old and he was raised primarily by his mother and nurtured by a love of the wilderness. She taught him to hunt, track, and especially be wary of dangers. Garric grew up alone with no friends but he did not mind, the forest around him was his friend, as well as his mother's horse, Grady, whom she bought as a baby when Garric was 20 years old. 2 years later, the unthinkable happened. One night, while he was out by the lake, 4 drunken human soldiers from the nearby village decided they would have her way with Lazara with the son away. They broke in and combat ensued when Lazara determined their vile purpose. She was no match for the skilled soldiers. Garric returned and attempted to help but he also was captured and tied to the house post, while he watched his mother beaten, raped, and killed. The soldiers cursed the half-blood and set fire to the house and left, expecting Garric to burn in the inferno. He would have also had it not been for Grady who helped bite off the ropes, but in the escape, he burned his arm severely and still bears the scars to this day. For this reason, he never wears short sleeves, even in the heat. Garric buried his mother and vowed vengeance on the soldiers. However, after a year of looking without fruit, he is now near penniless and seeks to join this suicide mission to earn money to continue his search.
Personality: Garric is wary of humans after what he's been through, but knows there are some good ones around. He is friendly but guarded. In combat, he will rely on his stealth, tracking, and archery skills to keep enemies at bay.
