3) how would you challenge a character with this in their build, other than always throwing them in a low-ceiling cavern all the time?

4) If GMs allow this, I'm curious if there are other repercussions or builds that may become interesting with this. For example, if melee only is stipulated, I'd be tempted to take a 1 level dip into samurai (keeping that nice eastern flavor). Mount elevation would make it much easier to get that bonus consistently.

1: No, i would modify it to be 1/3 of +1. Every 3 levels you get a +1.

2: I would allow either or, but you have to have the higher ground. Melee would be more fun as a player. Jumping off tree limbs, or scaling a wall and getting the "drop" on the enemy. Sneak attack for the win!

3: Hold person, or hold monster. Get to higher ground. There are never really trees in the city when you need them. You are scaling a building, someone opens their window and yells for the city guards. Bow and Arrow.

4: As a GM i would not say a Mount, is "higher" ground. I would argue that you are mounted, not at a higher elevation. I could be mounted on a dire wolf, I'm still not taller than a troll. This raises the argument that humans have higher "elevation" on halflings. Does your bonus apply then?

With the advance of technology to provide simple, often faulty firearms, gun adepts are akin to sorcerers with innate magic that can only manifest their powers when holding a bonded fire iron. With this bond they are able to inscribe standard firearm ammunition with runes allowing it to be charged with arcane energy before pulling the trigger, resulting in a multitude of effects. Timing is everything to a gun adept and the pace of their casting ability is key. However if they were to burn out, they still hold in their hand a trusty sidearm that can get them till sunrise.

I had a lot of fun designing that class.
Scavenge Field Repair is an "improved" Field Repair Feat (ultimate combat). "you can repair that item with no raw material cost and no penalty on your Craft skill check for using improvised tools. If you spend a day, the item regains 1 hit point plus one-quarter of its original hit points."

So it takes a day, and repairs x hit points as per the make whole ability.
IE: Joe is a Warsmith lvl 4 with 4 ranks in the proper craft skill. He is going to use his Scavenge Field Repair to fix the heavy siege engine with little to no tools available (no tool kit). Since it is is basically a modified Field Repair feat, he spends the day repairing it. He makes the Craft DC check (20) but instead of the engine receiving 1 + 1/4th the original hp, it receives 4d6 hp instead.
Say the engine has total hp of 100. Instead of receiving 1+25 hp, it receives 4d6 instead.
.....

1. So it takes a day to repair the object using this ability. (It does seem to have bad wording, but it uses the Field Repair Rules).

2. As per number 1, it would take a day to repair. But the trade off is that it doesn't cost ANY gold to repair an item.

I think what might be acceptable (what I would accept), if you talk with your GM, if your Warsmith would be able steal the "Reforged" ability from the Soul Forger (magus archetype) as a Design. But you must be at 8th or 10th level to select it. I might have to add it to Liber Xpansion this weekend.

Did I answer the question for you?

EDIT: So assume the siege engine takes 8 hours to repair: if you take the Quick Fix design, it cuts it down to 4. With Repair Master Design, you add + Xd6 to your repair roll.
For those looking. I answered this over on another site.

Complicating matters is the fact that some classes appear in multiple products, so you'd have to decide which one to link to.
I'm Greg, I own Amora Game, and we are trying our hand at the 13th age system.
A couple of years ago at this point we launch a Kickstarter for our Pathfinder book, Liber Influxus Communis, and one of the popular classes was the conduit written by Mike Myler.

Well at the turn of the new year, Sasha Hall (another one of our freelacers) wanted to take a crack at converting it to 13th Age compatible. I let Sasha have free reign and I think it turned out really well. It is called Conduits of the Age.

So in this light I am biased. What I would love to do is have a few other people look at it and review it. In this mind I am looking to give away 4 free copies for the purpose of honest reviews. There is a catch, you have to review it. If something doesn't work, you have to tell us why versus just saying "it sucked".

I'll be checking this post later today, and if anyone is interested, post below.

Thanks
