Background: Gareth was born on Echuda, a small mining colony in the Outer Rim. The planet was under the dominion of the Hutts and life was hard for Gareth and his family. Growing up, he swore that one way or another, he would get off that planet.

His opportunity came when he was twenty. Echuda was attacked by Seperatist forces, led by Spar and his Mandalorian Supercommandos. Despite the devestation that they inflicted on his homworld, Gareth offered them his services as a demolitions expert. Managing to escape at last, Gareth immersed himself in Mando'a culture. He quickly became a model Mandalorian.

A black bag op that he was assigned to near the end of the war went horribly wrong, and Gareth was seriously injured. He was shipped back to Mandalore to recover, and thus managed to survive the destruction of the Supercommandos. Unfortunately he still bears the scars of that day and wears a half mask to cover his badly scarred face. When he was healthy enough to travel, he headed out on a passanger ship to Sel Zonn Station looking for work.
