In character diarys of the characters in the pbp - J1 Entombed with the Pharaohs PBP...
Garai is a fiercely loyal man, in his mid 30s. A fighter with staff, and ex-caravan guard, his bio is in his profile......
His Int isn't too high, and he doesn't like writing, so the spell checker is being ignored.....possibly not a sensible option, but fun. I am hoping for a Turkish/indian style accent.....
Oh, not to mention SPOILERS FOR J1 Entombed with the Pharaohs!!!

Day - 1
Please, let me be allowed to begin with an aology in advnace. I have written nothing inmy life that is not a list of merchandise and stock. This jouornal has been requested by the Good Venture Captain Jalden Krenshar, of the esteemed Pathfinder Society, as one of the stipulations of our contract. I will attempt to be as accurate and as full as possible, and only hope that noone is forced be to teadiated by the reading of this missive.
Today has been most eventuful, and indeed, has almost caused my death. I only hope the days that follow, will be less deadly, but I am sure that the troubles we face will continue to get only more dangerous.
Our day started with little ceremony, meeting at the correct time, the Good Venture Captain was prompt, and asefficient as could be expected of one in her position. We were given a huge chest of platinum, and told of a specific method in which to bid at a particular auction that evening, in order to meet a person known as the Scarab, who should have information vital to our quest.
Our day ran slowly, with plenty of rest to prepair for the venings events.
It would seem that the auction was not chosen by chance. Although I have no knowledge of the historical documents and items available, my companions had, and we met a young and very attractive scholar, who had a similar interest in items. A deal was struck such that items we purchased could be transcribed, and translated by the scholar, and we promptly purchased the most likely looking items.
There were many groups in attendance at the auction, most of an unsavoury type, and a half-orc, and his halfling companion took my attention many times, whlst a group of Cheliaxians made a hugh and cry about some of the items being of much more modern construction than the dealers would like to admit. We purchased the items for a cut down price, and even if they are of dubious authticity, will have made a good deal.
Our bidding tactics did draw the attention of the one we sought, and while the others left to meet with the Scarab, and her unknown source, I escorted our scholar back to the lodge. This was a most enjoyable persuit for the most part, but also is the point where danger asserted istelf!
The dastardly half-orc planted himself as we enetered a quiet allyway, and attempted to assasinate myself. Only my skill with the staff saved both my, and Neferet's life, and I came away badly wounded. The scholar wa distraught, and unable to help with my wounds, followed quickly back to the lodge to await my comrades. The half orc was a strong adverasy, and was beaten off, but undefeated. We shall see him again I believe it is safe to say, and the next meeting, I am sure will result in a death. I can only have the hope that, that death will be his, and not mine.
Now back at the lodge, with all of our good intact. My companions seem to have been succsseful in discovering details that will help, and have discovered an item we must aquire in order to gain access to the pyramid. We shall search for that on the morrow, and for now, I shal sleep, dreaming of the good Neferet.
