I love this magical enhancement to the personal gear of the players, but want to know ... is it permanent? In other words, does the enhancement stick with that item as long as the player owns it (so it still works when we return to Korvosa in the final adventure?)?

I was making lists of all the potential loot, magical and otherwise, my folks would be able to find, so I have spots to tweak for special gear to place for them, and noticed that there is no gear listed for Avishanda, Nudhadi and Avidexu.

D21 specifically states that Avidexu carries the majority of his personal wealth, but when we meet him in D24, no gear and wealth is listed :)

Help!

Searched the other posts and didn't see anything about this, so apologies if I missed it :)

Knowing my players, and the fact that this house is full to the brim with bored rich (and now dead) nobility, anyone have a thought on a round figure for jewels and gems that could be liberated from the bodies? I know that the insane elf has 150gp in misc jewelry that I presume she looted, but that's just a drop in the possible bucket of what the nobles would have on them (heck, look at Lady Carowyn's gown covered with pearls).

Thanks in advance for any advice :)

Ring bells? :)

Mork's favor expletive, and then... are those last two Battlestar Galactica?

Dingdingding! Give the man a cigar, all correct :) Frak nearly got me sent to the Dean's Office in high school (yup, I'm that old >laughing<) for using it in the hall and the moniter positive I said a much different F word :)

Wild, Wild West ... Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea ... Star Trek and Star Trek Cartoons ... knowing what a "Monty Haul" dungeon meant and the wondrous joys of meeting a monster for the very first time!

All time favorite gaming memory - in original D&D, the Rust Monster had no physical discription, so our very creative and evil DM (not GM, only DMs in those days) decided it could look like anything! Paladin lost her armor to the Rust Kitty that mewed pitiessly and got picked up. Fighter lost his fave shield to a Rust Monk. Then the last fighter with armor lost his chain trying to break down the Rust Door that had already "snapped" the thief's tools ::laughing::

I swear our group absolutely slaughtered anything small, cute and furry (anyone else remember the Killer Kitties?)

A little background info: My playing group is interesting, in that we're playing RotRL, CotCT and SD somewhat concurrently. We just finished RotRL 1, run by my husband. I am running CotCT, and we did a teaser at our last session, introing the characters running through the Harrowing before breaking. Our third member and best friend will be running SD and will be starting up after we finish CotCT 1 ::chuckle:: We can only get together once a month due to driving distances (Los Angeles to San Deigo), so we'll be playing these three APs for a few years to come!

Now, for my party, played by my friend and my husband at two chars a piece :)

Felina Vercarne - Half-elven rogue, member of the Catspaw Lofties, and former Shiver Addict. Her family runs a "fed-ex" service in Korvosa, and she broke off with them over her addiction and her errant behavior. But she could go home again.

Bellerseus Mylonas (better known as Bell or Beller) - Half-elven ranger, member of the Sable Company, training to be a Hippogriff Rider. Was heir-apparent of the family despite his half-blood, until a younger full-blood cousin was born. Happily went into the Company as a second choice, and was engaged to marry -- until his fiancee was found murdered. He later found the ring in the pawnshop, and is working to repurchase the heirloom and find a way to legally get Lamm.

Bernadette (no known last name) - Half-elven priestess of Shelyn and former Little Lamb. "Discarded" as a child because of her half-blood, she was sold to Lamm by a crooked matron of a private orphanage. When she lifted the holy symbol of Shelyn, she kept it, until Lamm found out and beat her for it, and locked her away to be punished more later. She escaped in a manner she still doesn't understand, and made her way to the Sanctuary, where she found a new home and life.

Konrad Mandal - Human wizard/apothecary. Family runs a shop in East Shore near the College, and Konrad fulfills all the roles of an apothecary there. He's also a recent widower, and grieving father, since in his grief over loosing his wife, he neglected the needs of his six-year-old son. The boy ran away, and has been missing now for six months ... recently, Konrad has found information leading him to fear that his boy is in the hands of Gaedran Lamm!

That's the fun for now!

I, too, have a player who is in the Sable Company and aiming toward a hippogriff companion.

Spoiler:
I was very glad I had the first three adventures before we began, since there will be time enough for the player to reach her goal of having her boy get his 'griff before the Company goes bye-bye ::chuckle:: I can't wait to see her reaction!

I am liking the ideas of making Endrin more visible in the early adventures, so his demise (and that of the Company) hurts all the more for all, not just the Marine. Also, I was thinking that many of the now "defunct" Marines would be adopted into the Guard, so Croft can keep them safe and keep control of the Tower and the Military Academy in her side's hands and out of the Queen's and her Maidens.

Thank you very much! I so love it when someone else does a job I was planning on needing to do :) Saves me so much time ... and to have it done so nicely :)

Can't wait for my next session to show it off to my players.
